Tried ATM at the bank and service was down tried again still could not complete withdrawal so had to go to non BHFCU ATM and they refused to refund the fees saying I should have gone to another branch location. Who in the right mind would drive all the way to another branch location and try to withdraw money after two unsuccessful attempts at one location. Doesn’t the bank think it’s quite plausible that I figured their ATM service was down. Been a member for over ten years and refuse to refund $1.50 shameful service.

(WARNING) BHFCU Record the sale of vehicle and don't trust them, you may be lied to. I made a huge mistake I signed paper work as a cosigner and was lied to the whole time. The deal verbally was, I'm cosigning for my wife's cousin he will be on the first time buyers program. The dealership had me sign all this paper work, I questioned why I'm signing all this paperwork I'm cosigning and was told, this how they do it now days. A month later I find out I'm priority owner. Wife's cousin defaulted as of the 20th of April he got the title from the car dealer ship he was suppose to pay taxes and get the car registered. Not been done. I want to pay the car off. But the BHFCU won't provide the title or get a new one when I pay for the car. They just want to ruin my credit. I called them numerous time's and told them I would take care of just give me the title (had to use bad language). I also wanted to tell my experience to Dee Ann Dietrich or Terry Schmidt High ups at BHFCU said I'm not allowed, wow they are high and mighty. You have to wonder what there hiding. I ask to find out what 605 Auto Plaza had said to BHFCU not allowed to to know that. Last time I bought a vehicle the banks sent the title to Peirre and you received later. They won't do that. They also made me a member which I didn't want to do any business with them to begin with. I wanted to go with Aspen Credit Union which they approved us but needed a little more information. 605 Auto Plaza lied again. Most people have to open account and get a loan. I guess you don't have to do that with BHFCU. Go get your account for free. Maybe I'm privileged but I can't tell my story to THE BOSSES. For a non for profit entity, you have to wonder why the bosses are so mighty. I did get a phone call from some guy and he said I have two options. I had to go get a duplicate from the dealer ship wow didn't know it was my responsibility. The other was get my wife's cousin to sign papers. That not happening.

I have been with BHFCU since 1973. I have always loved it until now. There is no way to call the bank now without at least a 30 minute wait. I waited over 30 minutes twice today and had to quit because I was loosing cell power. I need a bank I can visit with within a reasonable about of time and this one doesn't work anymore I am considering going to a smaller credit union that has time for their customers.

We had a savings and checking account with them for a number of years. We stopped using it for several months and then asked to close the account. There was only about $43 left. Turns out that since we hadn't used it for a while they decide to take our money in the form of inactivity fees. I guess they decided that if we didn't take the money they think it's now theirs.

You are nothing more than a number to this bank. I’ve banked with them for well over a decade and have had NUMEROUS car loans with them and NEVER once failed to make my payments. Yet all they care about is my credit score. There’s virtually ZERO risk in giving me a car loan but they don’t care. You’re just a number to them. They’re a big bank masquerading as a local FCU.

I've been banking with this business since I was 14 years old, every automobile loan I've ever gotten from them I've paid on time and I've paid it off early. I've been having some medical issues; I paid for the insurance on my credit card which has refused to pay during my disability, I owe only $400 on the car that I currently have and I'm 2 years early on paying it off. But because I owe them $1200 on my credit card they are making threats to take my car. They did not ask me what was wrong, offer a payment plan or any assistance. They went straight to making threats about taking my car. This place is ridiculous they have no customer service skills. You might as well bank at Wells Fargo. An attorney told me that credit unions have special privileges they get a lot of leeway in the law that regular banks don't get so it sounds to me like legally you have more protections under any regular bank. Rather than going to a credit Union just go to a regular bank. Once the situation is worked out I will never use black hills federal credit union again. 24 years of loyalty,on time payments, and early payoff down the drain over $1200. I guess it's good to know where I stand.

Been banking here for years. Millions in commercial debt. They forget they serve you and not the other way around. Road block after road block. Time to move on

I have been very happy with BHFCU. Every staff person I've dealt with has been helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. BHFCU has many convenient locations. The website and mobile banking features are excellent. Highly recommended.
