The YMCA of Rapid City is a great part of the community that brings people of all ages together. It offers something for everyone, from basketball to swimming and childcare. Many find it an amazing place with incredible, friendly staff who are outgoing and make people feel welcomed. The daycare and kids' programs receive high praise for providing individual attention and compassion. Visitors have had the absolute best experience, finding it easy and welcoming even as out-of-towners. However, some policies and hours can be inconvenient. The facility closes early on Saturdays, is closed on Sundays, and observes holidays, which some find limiting for their schedules. Additionally, specific rules, like a rigorous swim test requirement for children to use certain water features, have been noted as surprising and overly strict. Despite these points, the YMCA is widely viewed as a place that strengthens the community and offers opportunities for everyone to learn, grow, and thrive.

The basketball courts are so good but there could be more balls like there was couple if years ago.

Had the absolute best experience at this YMCA. They made playing basketball as out of towners super easy, and it was a real highlight on our trip. Thanks again!
