The campground is about a mile off I-90. The entry shows up quick; so be prepared. We were not sure what we would find out in the fields that surround it but we were surprised at how nice this campground was. Easy to navigate. All roads and sites are gravel but it is well maintained. The landscaping is great. They do have some amazing sunsets to watch. The owner was super nice and she gave guests homemade chocolate chip cookies when signing, which tasted great. Do have your License plate info when signing in. They are big on security. Town is just a mile or two down from the campground. We did not test their internet, laundry or showers but I am sure they were just has clean as the park. We will return to this campground for sure. Best for one night or a week for certain! Large dog park and kept clean. They had real playground equipment for kids, especially liked the real marry-go round that us GenX loved to survive. We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We are traveling back from Indiana from getting our motorhome from manufacturer and called to see if they had an opening ( some places closed for the season already) they got us in no problem so helpful. Great pull ins and through. Beautiful area lot of room around and the best sunsets I've ever seen.

Really nice RV park...level sites, fenced dog park, good Verizon service and WiFi. With my law enforcement discount we paid $42 a night. I would recommend this park and if out this way again I would definitely stay there. Also beautiful sunsets.

This campground is awesome. Great staff, very accommodating and helpful. We stopped here on our way from Minneapolis to Mount Rushmore on both ways. It’s the perfect place to stay. Give it a try you will love it. Highly recommended.

What a great campground! Well kept and I did not see any weeds in the grass. Love the beautiful flower pots around the campsites. The staff is very friendly and they work very hard to maintain this campground. The cookies that are given to you at check in are such a wonderful warm welcoming and even the dog gets one. ? The laundry area is so clean! Love this place and we will definitely be back when we come back thru the area. Thank you for taking such good care of Dakota Sunsets!

Beautiful park. Spacious spots. Able to get spots close to our friends. Beautiful potted plants, clean, well cared for. Would return again and again, if we lived nearby.Noteworthy details: This is an RV park. Very well run!

Dakota Sunsets is a great stopping point going to or returning from the hills. The place is kept very nice and the park is quiet despite the big truck going by at all hours. Salem is a great little town nearby very friendly community! We love Dakota sunsets as there is a sense of peace being surrounded by farmland! Highly recommended you stop in for a night or two!

We love it here! We pull into the RV Park, a woman (Polly)came walking toward the office and waving to us as if she was so happy to see us, how welcoming, especially after a very long travel day. We register and she hands us both a bag with a homemade cookie in it, so thoughtful. We then get a golfcart escort to our site by Polly's husband, such a kind man. The campsites are prestine, beautiful sites in a beautiful RV resort. I did use the laundry, no problems at all with anything. We're going cross country but already planning on our trip back here. Can't wait!Thank you!Mark & Debbie Nee

When I arrived Joyce (?) gave me a graham cracker for our dog and chocolate chip cookies for us. I did not pay at the time I made reservations, I paid when I arrived. I've never camped anywhere where I had to do nothing to level the motorhome! Beautiful, huge planters of flowers throughout the campground. A dog park with water and treats is available. The playground was nothing exciting, but that is the only negative I have to say about it. Wifi was fast! We didn't use the restrooms or the laundry. I highly recommend this campground! Warning-Google says to turn left on 255th St. Don't! Turn left just past that road into the campground - there are flags!
