I'll never be returning to this location. I couldn't breath in there because of how much fragrance they were pumping into the air. I could taste the scent immediately upon entering and I had to cover my nose with my shirt and sweater due to my compromised lungs. Everything smells like it was doused in cheap perfume including the food so if you eat anything, it's contaminated. My clothing smelled like the store after maybe 5 minutes of finding and purchasing the baking soda (which is only good for cleaning because it smells so strongly of fragrance)
In conclusion, they will need to replace everything in the store and fix the smell before I ever consider visiting the store again. It's not safe to be in this location.

I would love to give this place a 5 star especially after the remodel. Sadly, I couldn’t even walk around the store. Went in for baking soda and about had an asthma attack from all the chemical scent that was in there. You could taste the fragrance within the first 5 steps. That’s right…TASTE IT. The baking soda we bought smells like the fragrance pumped in the store. I can’t even imagine that the produce they now carry probably tastes like fragrance spray as well. It makes me sad but will not be returning. This was the Sioux Falls SD location on Rice Street

Put only one star because I cant put 0. Cashier was so rude and smells horrible definitely on drugs.
I can't believe how desesperate it's dollar general to have workers like her.

Staff was extremely nice, boxes in isles to be stocked, but they were working on it! Nice store!

never have i ever been as racially profiled as i was in this store, i started to eat some gummy candy in the store as i was shopping (they were a dollar) but then as i was just minding my business, an employee told me i had to pay right that second and that they don’t allow eating at this store, i was in disbelief, heart was pounding, she said that i was lucky because i was with my mom, what would she have done if my mom wasn’t there? call the police? another employee was relating to me saying that she has AT THIS LOCATION eaten a pack of reese while shopping, why wasn’t it a problem then? because she’s caucasian? i went to this location once last week and did the same thing, except nobody was offended about me eating in the store, no employees made me pay immediately, i don’t normally go to this location, i just go to target or walmart, but one thing i know now, is that i will not be returning to this location for its racial assumptions made against me, a mexican american, who meant no harm.

They make up their own hours to close at you can’t got by what is listed as hours on any listing or website because they say they close at 10pm. but never seem to be open past 8pm ever!! Really poor staff and management

I love having something between my house n hyvee on Cleveland or Minnesota ave. I dig the fact that it's open till 10pm. when Franklin food is closes earlier. It's kind of messy sometimes real messy but we have to remember how busy they are and apparently the owner likes to push their employees too thin and doesn't hire more people.
