Ended up closing my account and switching to a whole new bank. I think it’s ridiculous they charge you to have an account with them, couldn’t even use my card at any of their ATMs but I could go to US bank or Wells Fargo and worked perfectly fine. Fraud detected recently as well and got charged a fee if I didn’t have a certain amount of money in my account. I’m beyond disappointed with first interstate. Never once had any problems when it was great western.

Where do I begin?
I was a member of Great Western Bank for years, and had no issues with them.
In the year or so since these folks have taken over, theyve:
Penalized me for living paycheck to paycheck and not having enough in my savings account.
The tellers have given me the incorrect amount of money, sometimes more than what I asked for, but they've also tried to short me.
The app sucks, and I can't always transfer money when I need to.
They've lied about dates that I've transferred money, despite the app showing when they occurred.
Credit card payments have been lost.
And when I asked to whom I would file a complaint, they tried to take the complaint themselves, effectively preventing me from going over their heads.
I will NEVER recommend this "financial institution" and will do everything I possibly can to prevent anyone from doing business with these people.

I wish there was an option for "0" stars. Buying out Great Western was clearly too complex because it's been a mess since. I have no access to the money in my checking account because their system is down today. No deposits, no withdrawals. The debit card they sent me was flagged for fraudulent charges within the first month of receiving it, so I'm literally locked out of my own money.

They cheat the little guys and small businesses. Businesses that are struggling a little bit, they gouge em, charge them service fees if the balance goes below $500. So stupid and ridiculous. They will suck every lttle penny they can out of you for stupid reasons. I miss Great Western Bank.

So far this merger has been a nightmare. Can't access our online account info and been on hold a half hour as i write this.I loved great western, but now seeing this bank is headquartered in California and owned by Wells Fargo has led us to look for a bank that is local and will fit our needs better.Keeping our money and savings far away from both.I am sure the bank personel in town is still pleasant to work with and the merger isn't any of their fault.But I wouldn't recomend business with this merger bank.

Horrible bank! I hate the app I always have issues with it. It never shows accurate info. Usually once I get paid and pay several bills I'll log into account and it'll show that I have a lot more money in my account than I actually do! They want their customers to get overdraft fees with issues like that. Now with this merger with FIB I can no longer use the app to access my account. Just as soon as I can I'll be closing my account and going to a REAL bank!

I went through the drive thru this moring this women was a f****** b**** I said to nobody never told me I couldn't put money in account she went off on me not you have loss my service I will be pulling all my accounts out as soon as I find other bank

I'm from Germany and I want to make a complain against the staff because of uncovered fraud. No e-mail address an no person is relevant for that. Nice to hear from you. My name is 'Ralf Theelen, Germany. I have an online account without an access.Everything else after getting a name of a relevant banker of the management board. It would be better to inform the prosecutor.

so I had posted then deleted a review that was.bad because, well, they kicked out my daughter who was hacked. I was obviously upset by it all, so I left bad reviews. well, long story short, I was contacted by the regional manager, who looked into what happened and he offered an apology. I will be grateful they caught the hack, but I am beyond grateful they did correct a wrong. I highly recommend this bank. they could have just let us all go, but instead they went beyond the necessary things to help us out.

Have had no problems with this bank. Usually have Robin as my bank teller and she's a gem. Very kind, and patient, always leave with a smile when dealing with her at GWB.

Did our home mortgage through them (Chris Knight was great) and I would much rather bank through them than the giant banks. Everyone is so nice when I come in. Way better experience.
