If I could give ZERO stars it would be more appropriate! Months ago, WF starting sending my mail to the wrong address (after a decade of having the same address). I went to the branch bank to correct it, multiple times, but WF corporate changed it back repeatedly to the wrong address. This has now gone on for months, all the way through complaints up to a Better Business Bureau investigation. They have taken ZERO responsibility for it, and today stated that they could "...send mail to whatever address they wanted, per their policy". They have ZERO concern for the customer and have made ZERO effort to make sure my banking information is safe. I never chose this awful bank, they bought out a local bank where I had accounts, but the only choice I have now is to get out before my information is stolen. This is the worst customer service, of any business, EVER.

Don't do business with this bank. I was just embroiled in a scam that was not my fault and they refuse to refund my money although under the law, they have a fiduciary duty to do so! They have no ethics whatsoever! I had been banking with them for 40 years without ever bouncing a check or having a negative balance and this is my payback! Do your research! They have lots of complaints against them that are totally legitimate!

This Wells Fargo ATM is in a convenient downtown Sioux Falls location. Our business and software consultants are always on the go and Wells Fargo has been a solid banking partner in terms of their ATM network size. We love the technology Wells has in their ATM for depositing checks and cash.

Couldent agree more with the last poster. We are reviewing this location. I am a very paticent person. Mabye i just was frustrated with the people in line ahead of me who were taking Forever counting change and stuff. However there was only 1 teller working so that is a staffing issue that needs to be hammered out ASAP. Because waiting 25 mimutes to get a roll of quarters is unsat.

Closed my account. They require you to keep a $1500 minimum that pays next to nothing in interest. The final straw was when they would not notarize a simple will. No wonder this bank is losing customers.

GRANDMOTHER ARRESTED FOR TRYING TO DEPOSIT $400 CASH INTO HER DAUGHTERS ACCOUNT!!!! Yes, it really did happen. On June 6th of this year. My daughter needed to borrow money so that her automatic withdraw would not bounce. I wrote her a check, which she endorsed. She was concerned that the check might be held a couple days to clear, so I suggested that I go to my bank in the morning and then deposit $400 cash into her account, so that the funds would be available right away. Monday morning, I went in with the cash and her deposit slip, that she filled out, and was told they would not accept the deposit. When I asked why the branch manager, Christopher Powell, told me "It's our policy." Even when I asked why, all he would say is "It's our policy". I became angry and raised my voice. I said "So there's nothing I can do to help her?" I explained she would have an overdraft if I didn't deposit the money. Mr. Powell, THE BRANCH MANAGER, said "I guess not." In a very smug voice. He never told me I could deposit a check for her, which I had in my purse. The one she endorsed the day before!!! I did raise my voice, shame on me. Other than saying "this is bullshit", I never swore, threatened anybody or touched anybody. After saying to me, "Let's take this outside" which I found threatening and refused, he asked me to leave. Instead I sat down, called her to see what I should do. He called the police and told me he would have them escort me out. I went out and sat in my car. Because I was in the parking lot, he had me arrested for "Failure to vacate". The officers even asked if he was sure, and he said "I want her arrested". I'm 54, have NEVER been arrested, haven't even had a speeding ticket in in the last 30 years. I now have an arrest record. They fingerprinted me and took my mug shot. All for trying to help out my daughter, and deposit some cash into her account.

Since everyone else is an idiot and rating Wells Fargo in general instead of just this location... I figure I might as well rate how amazingly awesome the team is at the downtown branch. Always super friendly and sincerely care about their customers.

So very frustrated. I've been with WF for 20 years and for the first time ever, I'm considering taking my business elsewhere. I was out celebrating my folks birthday and every time I tried to use my card, it was declined. So frustrating and embarrassing. When I finally got back to my ca I called customer service. The guy on the other line argued with me for literally for 25 minutes saying that I or my wife had called in 6 weeks earlier to close my card as "lost or stolen." I must have told that guy 60 times that neither my wife or I had done that. He was literally just repeating himself over and over. Probably thinking I would just give in. But if I. Or my wife called in the card as lost or stolen, who did? Well, he wouldn't hear any of it so I finally asked to speak with his supervisor. He the argued with me about why I didn't need to speak to his supervisor because they would say the exact same thing. So, now after arguing about that for a little bit, he finally put me on hold. At this point I've been on for 30 minutes. He came back on and apologized profusely. Apparently (and you'll never guess) we never cancelled the card. A merchant had been compromised and WR had cancelled my card as a precaution. Apparently the sent me an email 6 weeks back that went straight to spam. When I asked why they didn't call, they said that don't. When I asked if I could setup a text or something for things like this when my card is cancelled without my knowledge or approval. They said that can't do that. So here's the problem: 1. The guy on the phone was a total d**k! Not okay. 2. I didn't know my card was cancelled and they have no way other than email to notify. This is garbage and not consumer friendly. 3 If my card was cancelled due to how was put in the system "lost or stolen," why did t take from Feb 3rd to March 17th to shut off. That's no good! What if it was really lost or stolen? Really???? 6 weeks??? If I could give negative stars, I would.

I agree with previous posters about Wells Fargo. They bought out 2 previous financial institutions I dealt with and it wasn't good. I moved my investments and money elsewhere... Customer service is terrible, the hidden and not so hidden fees are 'nukin futs and don't ever try to exchange foreign currency with these jerks! Try calling them sometime for info, see how far you get! And now the Wells Fargo scandal with creating fake accounts? Enough said.

The worst! I'd rather put my head through a wall than deal with Wells Fargo! Trying to talk to their customer service is like having root canal with no anesthesia!! Then there's their accounts!! I opened a checking for myself and a savings for a family member. Every time I tried to use my debit card, they'd transfer $1 out of my checking and put it into the savings. I called and asked WHY?!?!? They said it's like a forced savings. Well, I don't NEED a forced savings. My primary bank has my savings which is quite significant - and without their help, I might add!! Then I was told if there was a minimum balance of $300 in the savings they would not transfer the $1 over anymore. Ha! There's a balance of $400 in the savings and THEY ARE STILL transferring the $1 over. The savings was opened for someone else who wanted to save money but not have access to it because they have no spending control. I don't want my dollars going into that account! My boss deposits my pay in cash into a Wells Fargo at his end of the country. Can you believe I STILL have to wait 2 days for the FREAKIN' CASH TO CLEAR??!?!!! Unbelievable. What started out as an additional account for me has basically become a "portal" account, which means my boss deposits my pay and I write a check and deposit into my primary account because, quite frankly, they don't give me any grief or tell me how to manage my money! I won't even get started on the mortgage! UGH!!! If you want a pleasurable banking experience, find a community credit union. NO HEADACHES!!! NO STRESS!! NO EXORBITANT FEES!

I opened an account yesterday. I called their 800 number last night and it hung up on me 6 times. I called two personal bankers twice and left messages to call me back. No callback after two hours. I left two messages for bank manager to call me back and again no callback.

If you are looking to obtain a loan for purchasing a new home, stay as far away from Wells Fargo as possible. You are better off with a loan shark. They caused me to lose out on the lower interest rates and I almost lost the house I plan on purchasing.. Rates are now creeping back up. I would rather flush my money down the toilet than bank with Wells Fargo. Definitely go somewhere else if you are considering Wells Fargo.
