Great place to stay, clean & tidy, good rates and very accommodating, close to everything in town.
I'm an Aussie doing a 3 month road trip, I last stayed here in 2010 when I met John the owner who is Vietnam Vet and a real nice guy.
Great to see John was still there looking after the place that he opened in 1978. 💪👏

I have stayed here a couple of times now and it’s one of the cleanest places I have stayed. It’s very quiet and relaxing. The owner is one of the nicest people I have met. Great location within walking distance of Wall Drug. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this is one of the best. Would highly recommend.

Not looking for anything special but found it here. Great service. The owner was super nice the room was comfortable. Close to everything.
Walkability: Right downtown. If you wanting super luxury not for you. Comfortable accomadting and accessable.

Staff is extremely nice. My truck broke down in the evening so I couldn’t make it to Rapid City. They had a room and were very accommodating and understanding. Though it isn’t the most upscale hotel, they obviously take pride and care keeping it unkept and clean.

Motel is about a block from wall drug in South Dakota Called late but still got a room. The owner was very accommodating and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights in July. Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. John and others were super nice. Close to Wall Drug but quiet. Also great rates. We will stay again!

Great location. Good price. Very close to Wall Drug. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy about the rooms, but they were very clean and fit our needs. Would definitely stay here again.

The Sunshine Inn is perfectly located to enjoy Wall, which is a fun tourist town, as well as get to the Badlands easily and quickly. We were very comfortable-- it was quiet at night and the AC was strong against the heat!

I was honestly skeptical to stay at this motel as we usually prefer bigger chain hotels, but this place was affordable and the rooms were very clean. Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and called us by our names whenever we went to front desk. Very convenient location if you need a pit stop on the way to the Hills- only a couple blocks from Wall Drug.

The Sunshine Inn is a GEM in Wall, SD. The owners, John and his wife, greet every guest by name with a warm hello as people are coming and going.
I would argue this is the best value for your money when it comes to hotel options in the area.
Don’t be scared away by the vintage motel style architecture — which I personally think makes it all the more charming. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and met all our needs.
Each morning guests are offered coffee, juice, and packaged pastries to start their day. And, of course, a smile from John. The Sunshine Inn is also easy walking to Wall Drug and restaurants.
We loved it!

The owner and housekeeping staff were attentive and gracious. It is perfectly located in this teeny tiny town, they have an icemaker! Do not hesitate to stay here, better deal and experience at the Sunshine Inn!
