My experience with Aspen dental was unfortunately not a positive one. As a good patient, I called ahead to the inform the office that I would be 8min late due to traffic and instead of thanking me they used this as an excuse to cancel my appointment. I was baffled of course and asked the receptionist to please check with the dentist as it was still within the 10min arrival window. She placed me on hold for 15min (I was still driving there because I did not think they would truly cancel my appointment), when she came back on she stated they would need to reschedule me and their earliest availability was 7 weeks later. Giving your patients zero leniency is unacceptable, but this is only my humble opinion. I’ve worked in cardiology since 2008 and I have never turned a patient away for something so trivial nor would I ever.

As far as dentures go, Aspen Dental (Alcoa TN) is very efficient, and since they do all repairs and "comfort" fixes in house, the wait for the repairs or comfort issues is never more then 24 hours (as long as a weekend is not involved). Great staff and most of the time time they see you at the time they say they will see you. (meaning, you WON'T be sitting in the waiting room for a 1/2 an hour past your appointment time). Excellent establishment for denture users.

I’ve been needing to get my teeth fixed for a while and could not afford to. Aspen Dental took my insurance and helped me with a payment plan for the remaining cost that insurance wouldn’t cover. Dr. Hamilton was great. So were the hygienist, dental assistants, and the coordinator. They were patient going over everything with me and making sure my treatment plan covered everything I needed. I am so happy that I am getting my smile back for Christmas. I highly recommend. I will update with photos when everything is done. Thank you Aspen dental for making this experience so easy!

I had an appointment at Aspen Dental in Alcoa, TN on 12/5/2023. I went hoping to get my teeth cleaned but they did a comprehensive inspection of my dental health. I was hoping to take advantage of my Medicare Insurance policy. Unfortunately, they presented me with a plan to address all the issues my mouth has.I want to say that the Treatment Coordinator, Jamie was especially compassionate in delivering to me a budget that is far beyond my means to pay. I have recently started to suffer from PTSD and became emotional with the stress Aspen's Dental caused me. Jamie was very compassionate in responding to the stress that their estimate caused me. Jamie treated me with both respect and compassion for which I am very thankful.

The dollar store of dental care. They're "affordable" aka cheap and inexperienced. I've spent almost $2k over the past year, after insurance, on a good dentist fixing the things Aspen has poorly done in my mouth. You're set of teeth are all you got. You wouldn't get a tattoo from a dollar store. Don't let them clumsily put power tools in your mouth.

I had never been to aspen dental and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was professional and introduced themselves to me. I liked the way the hygienist showed me my x-ray and explained my periodontal disease. It makes more sense when I can see what she is talking about.

I'm in the process of switching dentists because of insurance, but needed immediate need for a tooth problemI was surprised that they could get me in the same day,so I went that afternoon. I started by getting a full mouth x-ray even though it was one tooth I was after. From there I had a general look over by another person,I explained that I was curious about some other work I've been putting off,so next they would figure the charges. Here comes the hygienist to check everything out and told me I had some other problems they saw, then another person came to relieve me but I said I only came to get my immediate problem taken care of. So she said,oh no we can't take care of that today,it's only an establishment for today, and your other issues will have to be taken care of first before the tooth will be fixed which is a broken filling. At that point I was led to the filing office to explain all the charges that will be applied when an appointment is set,so I'm a bit disappointed and stymied at the situation and not sure if I want to move forward with Aspen...

will not be returning to aspen dental.- not transparent whatsoever with anything- aspen dental’s are individual locations, not a collective branch, despite sharing the same namei did not receive dental care as a child, so i have a mouth that needs work done to it. i was fully aware of this. about a month ago, i scheduled a general/preventative cleaning. i was told “of course, that’s in your treatment plan”. i went in today expecting to get my teeth cleaned, so i could make a start in the right direction. before a doctor even checked my mouth for updates, i was told that i owe $400 before i can even speak to a doctor for the day’s treatments. that is a week’s worth of work for me, and i have insurance. they persisted that i cannot get a cleaning until i’ve done all of these other procedures that make aspen money, rather than making a step in the right direction for my oral health. without them even checking if my mouth has gotten better or worse! absolutely ridiculous, as i drove out of my way for a procedure i was told that i could receive. they only care about making money and not listening to their patient’s needs. on top of this, aspen dentals are not a collective chain that you can go to any location with. this is the entire reason i even considered aspen dental, as i liked the idea of not having to consistently get new x-rays and keeping my treatment information easily transferable between locations. this is NOT the case, at all. even their name is meant to imply things to scam their customers. i’m going to be spending thousands with a well-trusted family dentist instead of this corporate business that only wants to scam to make money, instead of being fully transparent like a respectable business would.
