My experience here with "all the A's" i.e. Amy, AJ and Angela has been more than top-notch! I am dealing with some pretty complicated and devastating issues with my beloved pup. The entire staff have been so understanding, patient, informative and kind. Dr. Wiedner has gone out of her way to give me the time, attention, empathetic ear that I have never received when dealing with other veterinarians. I truly am grateful for all the time and genuine care everyone at Banefield Hospital has devoted to my doggie's care. I have probably spent more time on the phone with all "the A'S" ONthe staff there just venting my worries and getting so much comfort from them regarding my pup's issues. Thank you all! From the bottom of my ❤️... such a class act!

Our 18 year old cat stopped being able to stand or walk for 24 hours. We knew his body was shutting down and it was time. We took him to Banfield where they thankfully were open on a Sunday and got us in the same day. We sought out End of Life services and thankfully the vet was supportive of our decision in their findings of his initial consult. The nurse and doctor were super kind and informative and very compassionate during the entire procedure. They even offered cremation packages and take care of everything on that end.

You're asked to be there on time or a little bit early just to sit there 15 minutes and wait. After that, everything is flawless. Vets give your fur baby attention all they need. And not feel rushed.

We brought our ferret in for an ear issue. Dr Widener prescribed a medicine that has been on back order for months. She sent us away saying we could order online. Wish she had looked for herself or checked with her pharmacy. Every outlet online showed out of stock and no anticipated date for delivery. Banfield said (after we called them back) that they have not had it for months, and can’t get it! We called 4 times after the appointment and NO ONE- including the doctor would call us back to offer options. In the end, they got our money and gave us absolutely no options for his treatment. Shame on you- at least be professional enough to call back.

The Banfield Alcoa team is incredible! Dr. Bridwell and team have been super helpful and communicative when it comes to caring for my pit/corso. My dog always gets nervous when meeting new people but the Alcoa team has created such a wonderful relationship with my pit/corso that he gets excited when he sees them! They understand that he has anxiety and do the absolute best to ease him and make him feel comfortable. Also, The Optimum Wellness Plan saved me $700 this last visit! Didn’t have to pay a thing out of pocket which is super nice.Thank you Banfield Alcoa team! You guys are amazing!

They are amazing with my dogs and you can tell that they love their work. They were kind and absolutely great with them! I wouldn't go anywhere other than there. I have 5 pitbulls and they are all enrolled in the wellness plan and it's a fantastic deal with fantastic services provided. Happy and healthy dogs!!! 5 stars!!!

I wish I could give this place negative stars. Incompetence at its finest!! I brought my Shihtzu here 5 weeks ago with an obvious urinary obstruction. I advocated for pain medicine because they didn’t even suggest it for her. Wanted to just give an antibiotic and treat for UTI. After several visits and never getting better and a significant pain event that occurred last night, I finally took her to the emergency vet. Once there, they were able to confirm what I had been saying for 5 weeks!! Obstruction from 2 large bladder stones. He was able to move them back into her bladder and when he done so, she had immediate relief. I have now scheduled a follow up with another reputable veterinary practice who has her already scheduled for surgery to remove the stones. This place reeks incompetency! Save your sanity, time, money, and your pets from enduring endless pain!!

The staff here are very caring and thorough. Their monthly care plan is a great deal. They aren't afraid to refer you to a specialist. They don't recommend unnecessary care.

The technicians here are entirely incompetent. After talking with an Ashley and explicitly detailing how we do not want our cat to receive vaccines as they weren't due quite yet, how we had made other arrangements, and NOT signing any waivers allowing them to give them vaccines such as rabies, we came back to pick them up and I was told they went ahead with the vaccines anyway "well, because they were due". Bordering on malpractice and being spoken down to after reiterating multiple times that we did not want the vaccines given. Rest of the staff seemed nice but they do not listen, and we will not return.

DO NOT FALL FOR THE PLANS. Terrible coverage and the so called reduced price you get with the plan is still 30% higher than the 3 top rated vets in Blount county. They also DO NOT care for your pet here. Your pet could be bleeding out right in front of them and they will only care about trying to sell you a plan or trying to get you to upgrade an existing pitiful plan. They have trained the personnel to be like used car salesman. Google vets in Blount county and the top 3 are amazing and sooo much cheaper

I just want to say how fantastic Dr. Meyers and her team are! Dr. Meyers is always so thorough and communicative and I really appreciate that! She took the best care of our old girl with joint issues (who passed away last year) and now we have two Corgi girls as patients. :) You can tell Dr. Meyers and all the lovely employees really love what they do.

I've been taking my dog here since his first puppy checkup in January. I have had no problems with the service I have received, and the staff seems to really care and know my Chow Chow. Sadly I am going to be looking for a new provider because I do not like the idea of dropping my dog off to stay in a kennel all day so that they can treat him when they can get to him. What's the point in having an appointment? When I first started going here, I could go back into one of the rooms with my dog and watch him receive care and talk to staff. It was much like every veterinarian I had ever been to. Now you are out in the store with your business aired out for anyone within earshot and you don't get to see what your dog is going through in the back. My dog is a member of my family, and I would not just take one of my kids and drop them off at the doctor and tell them to get to them when they can and call me when they are done hours later, and I won't be doing it any longer with my Neo. I really hope this can change as I really do like bringing him to this location. The three stars are for their practice of making you drop off your pet.

I don't normally write negative reviews but this is the second time I have been dissatisfied with my visit to a Banfield Pet Hospital. On 5/4 I was harassed about getting my 11 week old puppy his bordetella. I wanted to wait until he was 14 weeks and both the tech and vet kept pushing me. After that incident I was confident I would never return. Unfortunately my normal vet was booked way out and it was time for my puppies last round of shots. I figured I would give this location a try for a better experience. It was worse than the first. The main veterinarian refused to my face to give my puppy his rabies shot. When asked why she said its not allowed to be given until 16-20 weeks. Now anyone who has owned a puppy knows that is false. I double checked with 3 other vets including my personal vet, plus researched a little online and they stated rabies is allow to be given at a minimum of 14 weeks. My puppy was 14 weeks and a couple days. She told me I would need to come back into the office 3 weeks from now which would be 17/18 weeks of age and pay for another office visit + rabbles vaccination. Then she decided to also add that my puppy needs more booster shots for distemper/pavro. Puppies should be fully vaccinated by 14-16 weeks. I do not trust Banfield with my pets. Go to a real vet and save your money and peace of mind.
