Member 5 years. Strange Share draft charges I always have to confront them about.. No business loans. No PPP loans. Goofy hours in Wed which in Sevier County is main day us weekend warriors have off. The atm at their location is the only atm I have ever used that won't read my TVA card. The friendly staff is the only thing this place has going for it.

The location next to I-81 is horrible. Their customer service does not deserve a star at all. THE MANAGER WOULD NOT EVEN COME OUT TO HELP THE STAFF WITH QUESTIONS. I could tel they did not want to open a new account and I was a bother to them. Denise was very rude and hateful.

TVA is such an inconvenience for me. First and foremost, they've put a dual authentication thing on my account so I can't check my balance without being by the phone. You have to jump through multiple hoops just to see how much money you have in there.Furthermore, they shut down my card once and said it had been compromised. It was never once used. Nobody had used the card at all. They claimed the debit card number was "found online" so they canceled the card and I couldn't buy stuff from the grocery store.Had to go through a big hassle getting that fixed too. I had to set up this account with a broker about 2 years ago so I could trade stocks. Boy, that was a hassle upon a hassle. I had to call numerous times to get it sorted out. I also had to go back and get previous years transaction records and they charged me like $15 for them. Finally, my partner opened an account with them and they refused to give us a debit card. We're going to try again and see if they'll give us a debit card now. If not, we're taking our money elsewhere or stick it in the jar at home. They're always nice inside but their policies are not convenient. Too many inconveniences. I understand that they're trying to help but it doesn't.

WARNING!! YOU GET NO MORE PERSONAL SERVICE HERE THAN WITH A BIG BANK, SO DON'T CHEAT YOURSELF! IT IS DANGEROUS, AND THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE THE POWER TO CAUSE!!They are not as personal and Member Oriented as they claim to be. After paying off a $160k loan with them, I moved out of town. Unfortunately, two transaction came through to my checking account before it was closed that caused it to go negative by a few buck, plus their overdraft fees, all totaled a whopping $86.00. Of course, they have a my cell phone number and emergency contact number right there in front of them, but instead of using that, they take the time to report this $86.00 on my Credit Report - effectively destroying an otherwise FLAWLESS credit record and causing incredible amounts of havoc.

Here I am again, writing another bad review. Ive had this acct since June 2017 because of an auto loan. BUt yes I will say I'm behind it happens to the best of us and I tried for a week solid to get ahold of Jennifer Wright I believe her name is. So fast forward I was goin make a payment on 10/4 they had stole my direct deposit that day and said it was for my car loan OK so cool I was goin use it on that anyways but well a week later the money hasn't been released to me or nor posted to my car loan and yet they said I'm not able to pay no more payments on the vehicle because I was 81 days past due and it's up for repo so then why did yall steal my money? if is it was for my car loan why wasn't it posted to that account?? thieves Time to hire an attorney I believe. If someone would like to contact me you can reach me. between 1-2pm daily because that my lunch hour. You can find any account account info by my name on Facebook.

Avoid this bank! Their antiquated technology and sub-par customer service has made simple tasks nearly impossible. They require paper forms and in-person signatures for small things that other banks allow you to do online (such as changing auto-draft account info). When I have filed the forms as requested, they lost them. Only later did they admit that they had the forms but "overlooked" them. In the meantime, their error made it look like I was behind on monthly bill payments. When I asked if one department in the bank could contact another and verify their mistake (and put me in the clear), they refused to do so, seemingly annoyed that I'd suggest such a thing. I had to call another department and go through the whole process again. Suffice it to say, I highly suggest looking elsewhere if you are researching banks. You should be looking for reliable technology, good customer service, and a banker who is happy to help resolve issues. TVA Credit Union is not where you'll find those things.
