Make sure to go into to terminal to rental desk, then into garage. Did not get the car we requested, was downgraded due to lack of availability - even though had a standing reservation as a gold club member. Car was not clean (found food wrappers in the car, not vacuumed, not washed, windows very dirty). Desk clerk tried to be nice. Desk manager pretty much said this is vehicle for you or nothing. At least had a vehicle.

We had to sit at the airport with a baby and wait for two hours for the car to be ready plus the agent gave us an attitude just for asking why the difference in cost from the online quote. But, honestly my expectations for rental cars are always so low that I actually give this place 4 stars. Car worked great and return was easy and painless. We returned a few hours before expected time, so we actually paid less than the original quote.

Had a reservation, email from Hertz stated deal was open until midnight. The employees all left early, me and another customer watched them leave early. All other rental car companies were sold out. As a result I wasted more than the cost of the rental on an expensive hotel airport just to get it early the next morning and had to reschedule my movers

Made a reservation three days in advance in order to have a vehicle ready in time to make a funeral. I input my flight info and arrived on time. I get to the counter and there's a long line with only one person working. There should be no reason for this since everyone had a reservation so Hertz should be aware of how many
customers they would have. To make matters worse, they do not have cars available and I'm told it's possibly a 40min wait. Hopefully I won't miss the funeral. This is completely unacceptable.
Took a Lyft to the funeral. They were up to an hour waiting for cars to be ready It was faster and cheaper

If I could negative I would, the customer service agent at night was rude, she had an attitude and acted like she did not want to be there.. I called the following morning to follow up with a manager to where I was on the phone with Cheryl, it seems like I’m not the only person with the issue of Cheryl hanging up on me, so why with the complaints I see is she still considered,”fit” for the position, she needs to understand you can’t treat customers like crap.

Absoululty not! I made a reservation to pick up at 8am and they made me wait very long for a car they didn't have any ready for me when I arrived. The guy at the desk was very nice but they took their time after I told them I needed it in a hurry. I have used other car rental services and this is the Absoulute worst. there was no line and everyone got their car immediately they made me sit in the airport for an hour. I had things I needed to do today and now I have to rescedule. I paid 200.00 for my rental car and it cost more then just my pocket. Do better.

If I was able to rate this negative stars I would. This has been the worst experience I have ever had renting a vehicle and Cheryl is not fit to be a manager. They did not look over the vehicle prior to renting it to me and there was a poorly patched hole in the tire that left my wife, my two year-old son and I stranded on the side of the road. Was told a tow would be 3 hours to get there to bring it back to the airport from them. If Hertz was the last rental vehicle on earth and I had to get across country I would walk.

Rented a full size SUV only to be told at time of rental that it could not go West of the Mississippi river!!!! Then they proceeded to cancel my reservation!!! What absolute trash customer service. Garbage franchise. Avoid at all costs.

I would like to share our experience. Shout out to Jessica and her Manager . They went above and beyond to make our experience great. I am a Enterprise member and they beat there rate and gave us a great rate. The only thing was its not there fault but there computer crashed and they lost our info so we had to double pay but we were refunded it took almosta week. So Hertz needs to update computer system and get modern.

This location is doing a lot of non standard things. I have never been asked to provide proof of signature at a rental car counter. This location (admitted that it was a rule their owner imposed) is making non standard requests and - at the same time - charging double the standard rate for daily insurance. This is clearly fraudulent attempts to steal from customers as no notice is provided of non standard policies and most people do not travel with their proof of car insurance.
Let them know I will be disputing with my CC and complaining to corporate.

I only give it a 1 because zero isn’t an option. This is NOT a Corp Hertz but a Franchise location that will change your reservation rate, charge wrong amounts, don’t communicate and unwilling to admit their mistakes. What could have been easily resolved turned into a huge issue, that could have been resolved. If you don’t want to spend days on the phone with your bank, Corporate Hertz and on hold at the local office then I would pick Enterprise. Hertz Corporate locations are always above par for me over past 20 years of loyalty but Knoxville will never be option again. Very unfortunate how they think customers are disposable.

The line was horrible and so was the service. The lady was hateful and spoke down to my wife. We were supposed to have a SUV and got the last tiniest car they had. Worst experience ever. Now I understand she was working solo and working multiple counters, but she shared the fact she hated her job and boy did it show. We will never be back.

We arrived at night after our flight was delayed. We had a week-long reservation and were told when we arrived that they did not have a car for us despite having a reservation. They than stated that they did not have keep a reservation if beyond 2hrs from pickup time. Again, flight delayed due to weather. No text or email to confirm if we were coming. Zero interest in trying to find us a car. Leaving us stranded in airport at 10 pm an hour away from our hotel we were supposed to drive to. Fortunately one of their competitors helped us find a car.
