Rented a minivan and filled up the fuel tank close to the airport. I was charged $41 plus for refueling. I paid cash and don’t have a receipt. I didn’t take a picture of the fuel gauge when I dropped it off. The Cheryll Gruveman in charge said she is the one who entered that charge. It’s a ripoff-I wish I had the receipt and picture. Beware!!!

My rental car was broken into and when the roadside assistance people called this licensee, they refused to trade my car out unless I drove it back to the with shattered window. I literally had to rent another one way just to get home. UNACCEPTABLE

Huge lines, reservation from several months ahead but my car wasn’t there. They found something else after a delay and off I went. Upon return to drop off the car there was no one working to talk or receive the return. 0 people. There was a huge line for people waiting on rentals and they explained they hadn’t seen anyone for at least 20 minutes.They are completely understaffed. Pick a different company.

Slowest workers iv seen ever. Started with 15 ppl and 1 hour later there's 8 still in front of me. It's my honeymoon and I should have been at my cabin and eating dinner by now. The AVIS and Budget lines are running through customers. Tried setting up everything online but they make me pay at the counter. Even used their app and tried signing up on their gold program but bc I didn't use it when I registered I can't skip the line like they advertise. F HERTZ. Not to mention iv tried calling the customer service number and no matter what department I press to contact, I get hung up on.

Worst service ever . They gave me a lower grade car than what I had prepaid for . No way 6 people with luggage can fit in a small jeep. Contacted customer service and all they said they was looking into it give them 2 business days , well it’s way past that and still haven’t heard anything . Don’t rent from them , pay a little extra and rent elsewhere !

Horrible return process, no one outside at kiosk. The guys working the desk were rude and slow. We originally booked with Thifty but they were even worse so hertz was helping thrifty customers. They are all horrible. Expect to wait Atleast an hour when picking up the car.

Staff is rude. I also returned a car with a slightly low tire. I mentioned to the woman working that they needed to put some air in the tire. Instead the tire “couldn’t be saved” and they filed a claim for the money. Needless to say I won’t be renting from them again.

BEWARE!! THIS IS NOT A REAL HERTZ LOCATION, THEY ARE HORRIBLE! My Brother passed away and I came into town to help clean out his home. I ended up staying longer in Knoxville and wanted to extend my rental. I called the counter several times and no one answered. I called the Hertz Platinum desk and they had no record of my contract. ( Because this is not a Corporate Hertz location.) A couple of days later I received a call from Misty asking me if I needed to extend my reservation and I said yes I did. She told me I would have to come into the airport and she would re-rent the car. I told her that I was at the Hospital ( my Sister in law was dying as well). So it wouldn't be until 3:00pm. I arrived at 3:00 and went to the counter and asked for Misty. Three other girls stood there staring as Misty tried to re-rent me the car. But somehow she couldn't rent me the car again, because someone had written that she hadn't heard from me. Misty told the other girl that she had spoken to me twice. They shrugged it off and said they couldn't rent me the car again. The car was full of my Brothers things that I needed to deliver to his children and mail back home. I was told that I could not take the car that I would have to empty it. Can you imagine?! They wanted me to empty my dead Brothers things at the airport! Where is the empathy?! As I walked out to the car the other girl Kyleigh Douglas followed me, watching me as she sucked on her lollipop. I left with the intention of unloading the car and then returning it. Kyleigh called me to tell me that she was calling the police to report the car stolen. I ran my errands dropping off my Brothers things and mailing the rest, and then started to return the car. But these people had called Cole's Recovery to repossess the car. (Go ahead and look at the review I left for them) they were just as awful!! They repossessed the car as I was returning it, with me in it. I had to literally jump out of the car leaving my handbag in it. I am still shocked and appalled that this location is still allowed to exist, after all the terrible things they have said and done to so many customers. I tried to report them to BBB, but they aren't even BBB accredited. This company is owned by GSP Transportation Inc, out of Greer South Carolina. IT IS NOT A CORPORATE LOCATION. If you rent from them, God Help You!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had out of 200+ rentals.Reserved a convertible awhile out to celebrate a special trip to Dollywood and the smokies for my anniversary.Arrived for the pick up, and had to come back to the counter and wait after walking out to the garage and noticing there was no gold board.There was only a single individual working the entire location, so as you can imagine, it was not a fast process in any sense of the word.Upon getting up there, he confirms my reservation, charges my card, and passes me my keys and spot #.The car in said spot turned out to be neither the advertised ford mustang, nor convertible. Usually this wouldn't be a big deal, but seeing as we had paid nearly TRIPLE the price of the other vehicles and the one we had been assigned, and have done this trip through the mountains 3 years in a row now to celebrate our first time here, I went back to wait in line to clear up what I thought was just a simple mistake.The only thing "simple" was the individual working there who confidently proceeded to tell me that they "don't own any convertibles in the first place". When I asked why I was able to book one and why he had CHARGED me without even letting me know I was getting a vehicle of lesser value, I received a shrug and a "no clue". When asked if there was anything else available or other locations, the answers were equally disappointing and void of any actual service.Not wanting to let the better half down, I asked if we could just cancel the reservation for a full refund so we could look elsewhere. I was assured this was no issue and said that it was fine if he processed it later, as I didn't want to hold up the extensive line.After calling corporate, I was once again assured I would be fully refunded.After over an hour of speaking to other rental agencies, we thankfully found a car and decided to just let things slide as s*** happens.That was until I received a notification of a $504 charge for a FULL DAY RENTAL FROM HERTZ.The car was not marked as returned until 6 hours after we had left the airport, though it had never even be turned on. No one is available to speak on the phone. The corporate President's circle number doesn't work. The only communication I have received after 7 attempted calls with customer service has been an additional receipt of the bs charge.For 5 years, I have instructed my employees and I to use Hertz as our preferred vendor, and spent over $65,000 last year alone with them.Formal complaints will be filed with corporate against this location (a franchisee and not a corporate location *Shocker*) through every channel we have available. I also have already begun reaching out to other rental companies to make a formal switch for our company overall.As a positive note, Becca at the Enterprise location here was by far the most helpful, supportive person I have ever worked with, and I HIGHLY recommend just going with another vendor at this location, even if Hertz is your usual go-to.As an added bonus, Enterprise was also $300 cheaper overall than Hertz for a better vehicle selection.Hopefully we see Hertz clean up the performance of their licensee's, as I hope no one has to begin their trip the way that we did.Good riddance, see you in hell

Wish I could give these jerks zero stars. Left me and my kids and grands stranded because my husband reserved the car in his name. He verified before he left town that he could pay and add me as a driver. They lied! They lost 400 in sales because they will refund every last cent!

The person who works nights said she will stay until 1am so we could pick up our car. Called at 9pm to verify, she said she will wait for us. Called at 12:56 am. when plane landed and no answer. Sure enough, she was gone. Place closed. Although the other rental places were open. Will use them from now on.
