Our rental at Tyson-Mcghee Airport, Knoxville, did not go well. After an hour-long wait to pick up our reserved car, we received a RAV4, which was ideal for our 9-day trip. As we left the airport I noticed that the tire inflation light on the dashboard was lit. After checking the appearance of the tires, I decided not to return to the airport for another hour-long wait.We arrived at our resort, and the next afternoon, when planning to drive the car, found that the left front tire was almost flat. I decided to change the wheel, and put on the compact spare. However, although the spare was in its place and inflated, THERE WAS NO JACK, AND NO TOOLS! A call to Avis Roadside Assistance gave t he response that a repair truck would be called to change the tire. I would be responsible for the cost, until I submitted a receipt, and likewise for the tire repair. The truck driver eventually called, to tell me his arrival would be delayed until after 8:00 pm, and did I have a jack for him to use? I cancelled the truck, borrowed a jack and tools from someone else at the resort, and changed the tire myself. The next day I spent the morning getting the original tire repaired and installed. The rest of the rental was uneventful, but I was driving with no way to change a tire if the need arose again. Avis Roadside Assistance called me to inquire about my welfare three times over the next three days, each time at approximately midnight--when I was asleep.So I learned a lesson: not to ignore an inflation warning light, and to check the trunk of a rental car to see if it has an inflated spare and tools with which to install it. Regardless, I consider Avis at Tyson-McGhee negligent for giving me a car in an unfit condition. As an "Avis Preferred" customer, I wondered how a non-preferred customer might have fared.

This Avis is getting ridiculous. As a member of Avis President club this is extremely disappointing. For the last past 3 rentals I've booked I've had to walk a mile to get the car. All the way in Row F (last row) and outside the parking deck. The whole point of being Avis preferred is vehicles being convenient distances from the AP booth. In addition to this issue i have received a 12 passenger wagon vehicle. I walked to row F just to realize i am unable to get into the vehicle because of how close they are parked to each other. So i walked all the way back to the booth and it was closed so i continued to walk inside . When i got inside i let the customer service agent know the Wagon would not accommodate my job which has a low clearance parking deck. In addition to i am unable to get inside the vehicle. He instructed i return the vehicle in the morning for a new one. Luckily i was able to exchange the vehicle the following morning. The workers are nice but it's frustrating how they can not accommodate for advanced bookings and those with high status

The service was best! staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. She made renting a car extremely easy and quick. I needed a car last minute to surprise my family and she made it happen. Driver is so sweet and helpful.

The whole process of hiring a car was so easy. The car provided was as described and in great condition. The local representative was very polite and friendly. Car rental gave me peace of mind and will be the next company I will use the next time I need to hire a car.
