I have traveled the country and been to hundreds of Lowe’s stores. The Athens Lowes is by far the worst excuse for a home improvement store. Every time I go there they are out of stock. Hillman neglects to sort and maintain their stock. I traveled from Philadelphia Tennessee to Athens to buy a few nuts and bolts. Nothing I needed was in stock so I had to buy quantities of 25. The management is pathetic. I will never go to another Lowe’s store as long as I live. But wait. When I returned home I realized the gentleman who obviously could not read a tape measure, sold me the wrong bag of nuts. So I guess I have to return this nut sack to the lousy Athen’s Lowe’s. What a disgrace!

I went to Lowe’s today to get paint and a few other things and had a great experience! I was expecting to have a long wait to get my paint and was pleasantly surprised by the quick mix and wonderful customer service. Frank was so kind and personable! Will be coming back soon ?

Ricky Davis was extremely helpful,knowledgeable and knew exactly where to find the items was looking for as well as Kyle from the garden center answered all my questions. And Connie at self checkout helped me scan my items because my arms were full because I forgot to get a basket. I dearly love this Athens TN Lowes. The staff are so kind and quick and attentive to helping you with anything and even listen to you ramble. It really is a wonderful place to shop.

I'm a hobbyist woodworker and Lowes generally always has what I need. My only issue for the moment is I have started using the app Affirm to make purchases from my local Lowes store and absolutely nobody has a clue what Affirm is and they think I am trying to scam them. Until Lowes gets their employees and the POS. system updated for purchasing with Affirm or Sezzle or Zip people will go to competitor stores if they are better set for these kind of transactions. Buy now pay later apps are very popular and will be the next big financial event. I intend on buying stocks in the companies that are getting this concept off the ground.

Come in ask for help with lumber absolutely no help. Had to leave and come.back 2 hours later and ask again to get the wood down and asked guy to help me because of a broken arm, guy refuses and walks off.Get to the register trying to pay and cashier fights with me over being a veteranThis is how $$$$$$ Walks right out the door

Got anything you need for indoor or outdoor projects. Price matching. Busy place so don't expect to zip in and out. I think they in early stages of going all self checkout. Not sure how that will work out in contractors / lumber area. Better drop prices if I have to do everything. I do have other options for my home improvement needs.

The only knock is they consistently miss price lumber. Tags seldom match what's listed in the lumber area.Also Deck Screw #8 2 1/2in is THE MOST POPULAR item and they never have them. Maybe up order a bit?

Do Not Shop Here!This has been on heck of a scenario I’ve been dealing. First I placed a call to the Athens tennessee (this review is specific to Athens location) and got on a call with the representative in the cabinet department (I believe it was Joe). I asked some simple questions to get some help and asked if he could help me with measurements before I drove out 40 miles so we could be sure that all would work. The first thing he was like no we don’t help or install in stock cabinets, I was stunned as I was sure I had seen on the website it says COME IN TO GET SUPPORT WITH YOUR DESIGN OR REACH OUT TO OUR TEAM. I then reached out again to the store and asked for a manager and then got connected to him finally the line was disconnected, I reached out again to the same number after disconnection to the manager and they would not pick up. I then accepted that fact and went on the website and called customer service, there was a lovely agent who let me know that they can definitely help me and that it must have been a mistake and that the store can and will help with measurements and design, she said she would connect me with the store and lucky me get connected to the same person (joe) who again as soon as I got on the call he said the same thing which again was that he could not help, even though two minutes prior the customer service rep told me that they could help and this is the solution. I could not believe it at this point I have spent over 7 hours on this nonsense, I went online and found that you can easily design your own kitchen with help! If I was told this by the store worker or manager this would have saved loads of time but again nothing. Once finally designed I reached out to the customer service to make sure I don’t get hooked up with the same worker again and to see if I could get some support and potentially some compensation for this madness of a mess, after 30 minutes on the call with customer service she told me there was nothing she could do when it came to this and that she couldn't transfer the order to another store. I finally asked for some sort of a discount code as this has taken a full working day away from, and I will be spending 2k just for the cabinets, another 2k roughly for appliances and not including quartz counter tops. She came back to me with a 10$ discount code for a order that’s going to be at least 6000.00$$ This was the biggest slap in the face, not only was it disrespectful but there was no care or logic put into this. Steer clear of this store and maybe lowes in general at this point! Maybe we should all support the little guy at our local hardware stores as much as possible!

We ordered a refrigerator online on August 30, 2023 to be delivered Friday 8/31/23 from 8am-8pm, then received a text Friday afternoon delivery moved to be Saturday September 2, 2023 from 4pm-8pm. The delivery truck got stuck around 1pm but they said Pedro would still be delivering it but later than 8pm. They would call if they couldn't. Waited till 11pm with contents of refrigerator and freezer in coolers. No refrigerator, no call! Called Customer Care Sunday morning they said they had openings for deliveries from 8am-8pm that day and a manager would call within 24 hours to address Saturdays issues. No refrigerator Sunday and no call. Monday was Labor Day no deliveries. Received email that it would be delivered Tuesday September 5th from 8am-12pm. Called Tuesday morning to confirm, no it won't be delivered still on truck from Saturday and not at warehouse not sure where it is. They told us we need to cancel the order and purchase again online for delivery in 3 days. Are you serious, never have we experienced such lack of concern or empathy for something clearly their fault. The supervisor Shannon I spoke to today at the warehouse 9/5/23 kept speaking over me and didn't seem to want to make it right. Canceled order and ordered from Home Depot. One star is to generous have spent thousands of $$$ at Lowe's and this is how you treat your faithful customers. To recap 4 delivery days given, hours and days spent waiting, no refrigerator! Bought a Amana washer/dryer here.Free deliveries over $300+ purchases. Guys came got them in the apartment. Couldn't hook them up since the sales associate forgot to mention you absolutely have to buy hoses and electrical wiring from Lowe's.That's really not that big a deal.But after spending $1,100 for these things I open the dryer and some D-Bag has drunk their water twisted it up and thrown their garbage into the box. So I have to literally deal with someone else's trash.Trying them out now hope they work.

I love Lowes, but the last time I was in there, I bought concrete blocks. When I was instructed to pull around to load them,I let the employees know I was waiting to get loaded. Well they showed up about 10 minutes later and pulled down the pallet of block with a forklift and set it on ground and then left,not to be seen again. Normally I'm ok with doing things myself, but I'm physically handicapped and it's a struggle for me to do what I was used to doing years ago. Anyways, it took a while but had to load it myself. Nobody cared enough to come ask if I needed help after watching me struggle to load it all up. Not to happy with that visit, but I will be back. Also they weren't that busy at the time. Maybe management needs to keep a closer eye on their help,because standing around and watching people struggle to load their own material is uncalled for. They could at least ask the customer if they need assistance.

I bought 70 boards and they pushed them off the forklift in a pile of mess that can't even be strapped down. Didn't bother to stack them or help us stack them. In the last two weeks have spent well over 3k in lumber and each visit has been such a disaster. They won't be getting anymore of our business.

Lowe's is always a pretty good shopping experience. The staff are always willing to help you find what you are looking for. I finally bought a battery powered pole saw works great. I'll definitely be buying the other attachments for this system.
