La Perla Tienda Mexicana is a hidden treasure and gem in the back of a Mexican store. It offers authentic food and Mexican cooking essentials, with magnificent, fresh, moist, and awesome tamales called the best in Memphis. The menu is in Spanish and limited, with no seating. Staff can be friendly and kind, though a language barrier exists. The space is cluttered. Some customers report issues with service at the back counter.
Awesome! Highly recommend. Torta is similar but better than Fino's italian deli. Will definitely be back. Made us feel like we visited another country on our lunch break. And they were so sweet and friendly. Glad we finally found this store!
