I ordered and paid for my tires online. At the same time, I scheduled my installation. There were 2 days between the order and the installation. The advisor called to confirm the appointment earlier that morning. Once I arrived, I was informed the store did not have the tires in stock and would need to get them from another store. Over 5 hours later, they finally finished my car. On the inspection report, they marked that the air filter needed to be replaced. It was replaced 2 days prior to the appointment when I had my oil changed. It also took about 30 minutes for them to get all the paperwork together once I came back to pick up the vehicle. This was my first visit to a Pep Boys, it isn't worth the few dollars I saved.

I should have read the reviews before coming but I needed a tire because I had a flat and it was the closest one. The service is very slow and the manager Chris is snappy. Instead of working on the cars they already had to start working on mine, the manager and a technician were screaming and arguing with each other. I was waiting for five hours for my car to still not be seen. I will definitely not be using this service again. The price is definitely not worth the service.Don’t waste your time or money unless you absolutely have to

I'm super disappointed with the experience I had in getting new tires. I made the appt online through the website which was simple. When I arrived, he told me they were finishing up an earlier appt then would get started on my car. They didn't get to my car until 1030am but I wasn't upset with that. He quoted me 90 minutes max to do the new tire installation. I asked about the wheel alignment I scheduled too and was included in the cost and he informed me that he was unable to do an alignment because he didn't have the technician there who does them. I would have to return. This annoyed me as I live 52 minutes away. But ok fine, I was willing to come back. After approx 1hr and 45 minutes I returned and he and the other technician were outside dealing with another car. After about 15 minutes he came and told me that the tech locked his keys in the car and the new tires for my car were in there. So my car was not serviced in the timeframe he told me. He gave me no alternatives to this issue and left to help the tech figure it out. My friend who was with me suggested I use my AAA for a lockout request so we can hurry this along. I went and offered this to them and they happily agreed. AAA was super quick and arrived within 25 minutes. The car was unlocked and finally my car could be serviced. Here comes next issue. The tires that the Pep Boys website told me my car needed were actually incorrect. However, I and he could not add the correct tires to a duplicate appt via the website because it didn't allow you to put incompatible tires. Ughhh. He did have the size tires my car needed in stock but of course they were more expensive. At this point I'm like whatever just put the tires on and let's get going. I have so much to do after this appt and 2 little kids at home and a long drive back. When they finally got my correct tires they informed me that I had a couple of safety issues and needed new brakes and rotors. He explained the issues, showed me and allowed me to take pictures. I appreciated that from him. He said they could repair all that too and would give me an updated estimate on those costs. Well with the repair work needed it tacked on another $2000. I was not prepared for that and I declined. After that the tires were put on fairly quickly and I was finally done. Now I want to say that I told this man several times that I had 1 new tire already on my car and wanted that tire back to use as a spare since it was only a few months old. He agreed and wrote it down and clarified with me which tire it was. Guess what wasn't given to me at the end? That's right, my old tire. Which meant I would have to go back another day (a 2 hour round trip) just to get my tire back. But 2 other things that rubbed me the wrong way was I told this man from the beginning that I needed to pay with E gift cards in order to raise money for my son's school. PEP BOYS participates in Raiseright and has gift cards for purchase but only in denominations of $25 or $50. My bill was over $800. After using several of the gift cards he made a comment to the effect of how many more are you going to use? Clearly frustrated with having to manually enter the card number and wanting to hurry up and sevice the next person. Hello! I've been here for over 4 hours, didn't complain, rescued your tech by using my AAA, and now you're rushing me?! This pissed me off. But I stopped giving him the gift cards and paid over 600 with my credit card just so I could get out of there before I lost my cool. I was nothing but polite and patient and he couldn't give me 5 more minutes to type in some gift card numbers. Also, there was no thank you or discount from him for using my AAA to bail them out as they did not have AAA or a feasible plan to get them out of the predicament quickly. The tech who's car it was, did thank me. They were both polite and kind but it was overshadowed by the subpar customer service. I have returned for my spare tire which was given to me without issue. But I want a refund

I have a lifetime alignment with Pep Boys. Today I went in to have my alignment fixed. They told me that my car needed repairs and that there was nothing they could do until the repairs were made. I told them that I would take the car elsewhere for the repairs. So not only did they could not do the alignment they charged me for a "steering evaluation." So they admitted that they charged me for not doing anything to the car. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is the employee who checked me out did everything in his power to make it right. So thanks, Brian. To Chris, the manager, poor business ethics cost you a loyal customer today.

Came in for an oil change while they were very busy. Chris was extremely polite and helpful and showed me where my tire was bulging and dangerous to drive on. We left with 2 new tires and my vehicle serviced all very reasonably priced. Very pleased with the service and communication. 5 stars guys!

The one on Bartlett Blvd in Bartlett is clean and not crowded with friendly and professional personnel. Kinda out-of-the-way and received good service. However, the ceiling light in the women's bathroom needs to be replaced and the chairs in the lobby are very worn. The manager is aware of these small issues and he says he'll take care of them.

This location is slow . My car is still sitting in the parking lot while nothing is getting done .. these are young kids around the ages of 19-21 . How are y’all allowing other to make still make appointments when y’all not fixing on the one that came with an appointment . I’m at the point where I’m going to get my car it’s been 2 days . No call no text no update or anything. The pep boys really starting to crumble… they really need the Undercover boss show to take place at this location

Don't go here if you care about your wallet and time. Back in November I paid roughly $900 for 4 tires to be replaced with all of the warranties and bells and whistles. One of my tires recently had a nail stuck into it so i took it in to use that extremely expensive warranty for a new tire! Instead i get met with this disgruntled front desk worker who tells me it'll be $180 to repair the tire and get an oil change, when i asked about the warranty he said "your warranty doesn't include road hazards"I'm sorry but what other kind of damage to a tire is there besides road hazards?Either way, i agree and gave them the keys. They then called me 16 MINUTES before closing and said "your tires not repairable so you're gonna need to come get this car tomorrow" so i was without a car for the night. When i showed up the next day they told me it would be $125 for the oil change, to which i said "I pay $70 at valvoline" The front desk employee got very rude and defensive and said that's impossible and that he took his car to valvoline a week ago and it was $135. ( why would a pep boys employee go to valvoline for an oil change??) To test this theory i took my girlfriends car to Valvoline immediately for an oil change and BOOM $71 after taxes is what I paid. This business makes its money off of screwing the customer, lying, and unrightfully badmouthing other businesses that have way more integrity than this oaf at the front desk. Don't go here, please!

I made a appointment and I was told the wait was going to be 2 hours. 2 hours turned to 3. The manager, Chris was rude to a customer and told the customer if you are going to complain I am not providing you any service.! I guess he has the right to do that, but I found that so unprofessional. Also, there were 3 other customers who dropped their car off early that morning and they were still waiting for their vehicles to be worked on which was at 5 pm . The service was terrible!

Pep boys has and will always be my go to car repair store, but today was absolutely appalling. I have a brother who is a manager at pep boys so I usually call him before I go into the store because I’m a woman and get taken advice of because of that. So I called and asked for a service and was instantly met with attitude. Then when I arrived and told him what I was there for he got up and just walked away from me. The service was estimated to be an hour and a half tops, my car was there for 7 hours before they even touched it after I showed back up they instantly jumped to do my repairs. This was the absolute worst experience of my life.

The best experience! Ashley the store manager is amazing to work with and very knowledgeable. Christopher and Tony who were also working on my car worked together and diagnosed my problem and the repairs. I highly recommend this Pep Boys in Bartlett TN.
