Uncle Dave’s work is timely and fair. They get the work done quickly. We had a secondary issue pop up and they were able to help us over the phone to solve the problem. I also appreciate that they send an estimate via text/online-so I can take my time to review it.

My first experience with Uncle Dave's was very positive. I described the problem I was having with my SUV, they listened and agreed with what I thought was the problem. At no time did I feel I was being upsold to require expensive diagnostic work. Job was completed as scheduled. Thank you to Eddy for great customer service. For regular service and any automobile equipment failures I will be taking my vehicles to them.

An employee at Uncle Dave's came when I had car trouble at home and called AAA. I received a quick response from Uncle Dave's, and after checking my car, the problem was diagnosed and my car was soon ready to go again. I was impressed with the knowledge of the mechanic as well as his professionalismand communication skills.

I dropped my vehicle off for some break system work and each time it was something different. I got my vehicle back and had a 2nd and 3rd opion and was informed some of the work was not done correctly. I brought the vehicle back for this correction and still informed that another part is needed that should correct everything. It took a week for the part to arrive and I was informed that it would be put on as soon as it arrived and I should be up in ready by the next day. The day I expected to get my vehicle back, not only was I told once again the tech had a hard time putting on the part but another tech is needed to program the part to the car. I was never informed that this was required and then the programming tech is not on site but goes from shop to shop. I have tried to be patient about this whole processe but I am now to the point of being very irate and frustrated due to the fact I have not had my car in over a month. It is became expensive getting Ubers to get to work and back, let alone what it's going to cost for the repair itself. This way of handling business is just unacceptable.Services: Auto brake repair

A simple battery charging system they made me pay for on my BMW 525i causing my car to stop didn’t even need a charger system it was a lose battery cable that’s it and all. I took it back 3x with the same problem they gave it back the 3 time and I called a mobile mechanic and he got it right moral of the story They’re not professionally and all about a buck was out of 1300 when I stop going they did absolutely no work at all just gave me my car backAnd y’all remember me!!!!!

I did not want to write this review at all but it''s important to give caution so no one else goes through the same ordeal.First things first is that Eddie, the service manager, has been nothing but professional and honest with me. All the issues I have are with what happens in the back.I've spent easily $10,000+ over the past 3 years with this shop and it has been nothing but a wild roller coaster. I will preface that my car is old and odd, a 1991 Honda Prelude, but some of the mistakes made are those that can be done with any car. Here are the many issues I've run into when using them.1) Botched the rear main seal job which I found out when I lost nearly all my engine oil when driving. Had to add in more oil myself and take it back to them which they fixed free of charge2)Engine rebuild. I am 90% sure that I asked them to check the health of the engine the first time I brought the Prelude to the shop and they said it was fine but coincidentally, right after the botched rear main seal leak and $3000 worth of work done, I learned that my engine had bad compression and needed a rebuild. I've already put in $3k worth of work and I want to keep the car so I give the okay for the rebuild. It took over 5 months for my engine to be rebuilt. Reason was the machine shop they used was awful at communicating but needless to say it was not fun having to call every week to figure out what was happening.3) General carelessness. I've had two of my wheel covers broken by them and they mistakenly threw out my splash shield during the engine rebuild process. If you have a common car this isn't an issue but for mine where parts are hard to find, it's not a good look. I have yet to get replacements for them despite it being a year later.4) Did not properly bleed out the clutch. Had my clutch slave cylinder replaced and it was not bled properly. I had to actually help the owner bleed my clutch and get air in my tires as it was low under their watch.5) Steering rack mess. I had provided an autozone steering rack for the shop to install and the part was bad as it started leaking shortly after installation. Upon bringing it back, I was told that they would look into the warranty autozone provided and held my car for two months before telling me I needed to take care of it which I promptly did within that same day. Why it took them two months I do not know but I provided all the information they requested and patiently waited only to end up having to do the job anyway.6) Failing to bleed the power steering fluid. Upon picking up my vehicle after it was unnecessarily at the shop for two months. I immediately started hearing noises from the power steering pump. The following day I went to the dealership and I had to buy not one BUT TWO bottles of power steering fluid. Upon taking it back for inspection, no leaks were found which means I was charged $23.96 for power steering fluid they clearly did not add in. Dave told me I would be reimbursed for the power steering fluid I purchased but I was ultimately not when I picked up my car.7) Improper communication. Now this isn't necessarily the shops fault but there was a miscommunication when Eddie was out regarding my rear brakes being bad. I said that I knew they were bad that that I would get it done [myself]. However, it was misinterpreted to that I would have the shop get it done rather than doing the job myself. It isn't fun when you find yourself with a surprise $502 repair bill. There are also some misdiagnosis going on that can be concerning. When I brought my honda civic del sol for a noise when coasting in gear, I was told it was the axles or some bearing or clutch. When I took the car to two separate shops for another opinion, both were rather quick to jump on the transmission having an issue and it turned out the transmission needed to be replaced.All-in-all a very disheartening experience. They're good people but I cannot, in good faith, recommend them based off my experience.Services: General repairs & maintenance
