Jonathan Archer is by far the most knowledgeable person I've ever talked to on the VA mortgage process. He knew more about the process and options available than any Air Force 1st Sergeant, military financial counselor, military financial instructor, or loan officer I've ever talked to. I would not be surprised if Jonathan knows more about the VA loan process and regulations than most representatives who work at the VA. He was almost always able to immediately answer my questions about the lending process, VA regulations, timelines, etc.

Joshua Wright is the only banker we will work with for future home purchases. After so many bad experiences with other lenders, we found Josh who went absolutely beyond being a lender. He explained home owners insurance to us also and got us an incredible mortgage rate compared to what we were expecting. He is truly fantastic, I recommend asking for him for all real estate purchases.

At the beginning of the process everyone was very attentive with a promise to have closing in 3 weeks (first of November). Here is it middle of December and now no return calls or emails and no refinance after I had to pay for appraisal and spend money that I didn't have.

Mr. Jorgensen went above and beyond to make sure this was the best option for my financial growth. He is very knowledgeable in his profession and was very understanding of any concerns I had throughout the refinancing process.I greatly appreciate all of the effort you all put in and I will be using your services again when the time is right.

My husband asked me to call Lucas Peterson to refinance our home. I had assumed that someone else - like a family friend or trusted coworker - had recommended him to us, but it turns out, my husband got the name and number from a mailer and had no further information about Lucas or his company. Immediately, I researched The Federal Savings Bank to see if they were reputable. There were a few concerning reviews that contained stories about extended closing times, less money paid out due to hidden fees, and complicated approval requirements. I was very concerned and called Lucas to ask him about these issues. He patiently and carefully walked me through the process and what he was expecting to happen, and said although there can be glitches and delays in some applications, he didn't anticipate any with ours, and he explained why he expected a smooth process. I was somewhat appeased and decided to move forward with this company.I am so very glad I did. We closed in the time frame promised, we actually got to pay off more bills than we originally intended and overall, we are now in a much, much better financial place than we were before we met Lucas. I am grateful for his fast responses, knowledgeable oversight, and the fact that he worked very hard "behind the scenes" so that he could boil down for me exactly what we needed to provide. I don't know how he managed this, but he was available every single time we had a question, and if he didn't know the answer, he would go find out what it was and call us back. He is extremely polite and easy to talk to, and he delivered on every single promise made. I would 100% recommend Lucas to anyone and I am so glad we decided to stick with him. Lucas should be given a promotion, corner office, and a huge raise. He did a fantastic job and we very much appreciate the work he did for us.

I was lied to at the start - I know for a fact the officer knew that rates are going up over the next year but she repeatedly told me that the "VA rates wouldn't be affected as much." I was still saving money in the long run so I still went through with it.Then nobody ever told me that I would be receiving checks in the mail that I would have to send out to the creditors - so I had to last minute find account numbers and information for these accounts so I could send out the checks in time. (They were not sent on time - I still had to pay all of them for that month.)They also sent information for my wife to sign but it was never there, they had to eventually send the forms another way. Yet another waste of time. Now I am receiving a statement to pay my mortgage after 1 month of no payment when I was told I would be able to save 2 months of house payments.I highly recommend you find someone who cares about you, and don't let their first interactions fool you. Once you are in deep enough they drop the friendly façade and don't message you until they need something last minute.Save yourself the headache. I can already foresee the troubles coming in the future with making my payments.

Update: I received a call for the bank. I have her the tracking number to the check I sent in. She told me she would call me back, and never did. They have the payoff check but still billing me!!! WTH!!Their refinance home loan communication is fine. For the other departments it's like getting a puppy to stop chewing your shoe. You have to call and/or email several times before you get a response. Even then it might not be the right department calling you.I've been trying to get to the Consumer Loan department ever since they approved me. I'm trying to pay them off now and they still won't call me back. They don't even have an online payment process. ?

My fiancé is in the process of refinancing our house. He was pleased with the rates and fees and was happy we’d be able to pull some cash from our equity to do some home improvements. He has been working with William Boyd who suddenly disappeared during the final stage of the process and has/will not return phone calls. William provided the fee disclosure almost two weeks ago and it had several errors on it: the company is trying to charge us for the home inspection that WE paid for, they’re trying to charge us for the pest control inspection/letter that I got (they had nothing to do with it), the interest rate they said we were going to get was wrong and the monthly payment was $200 more than what we were told.Upon seeing these errors, the first of multiple calls were made to William Boyd to get this resolved. That was almost two weeks ago and we’ve yet to receive a call back.At this point I have no idea if we’ll close or not. They were all hot and heavy to close by Jan 1 and now we can’t even get a return call. I don’t get it.

The Federal Savings Bank Is a bunch of scam artists. Christopher Jorgensen (so called VP) will give you a horrible deal and try to rip you off and then try to claim it’s for your benefit. Then try to insult you when you don’t fall for their trap. Super salty that he didn’t get his commission on a horrible refi deal. Every other broker saw that deal and called you insane. Look at his NMLS# of 1,600,958…. Still new to the game and salty most of his deals falling through. He is definitely in the wrong line of work. If you could of done better you should of given that deal first. Also tried to call people out for being unprofessional when he himself is the worst. Just through a polite disguise of a pure salty attitude. Glad you didn’t get my money. Rip off bank!! Ps Chris…. Your cell number is in your footer, don’t tell people to not call it when you can’t remember YOU have put it in your own footer…. Awkward and unprofessional. Also the whole bank is horrible at communicating and answering phone calls or any type of communication unless you hound them. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this horrible bank!

Aramis Moreira was outstanding as a loan officer! He kept in contact with me and provided me details and answers to my questions and concerns throughout the entire process. I had a VA refinance with cash out and was able to get a very low interest rate and pay-off some debts. The loan was also processed in a timely manner. If you are the type of person that is detailed oriented and likes to know the why behind the numbers, then Aramis is your guy. A definite 5 stars!!!

Doug and his team did an outstanding job. I had recently tried refinancing through another company a few months ago and experienced very poor communication and feeling of not knowing what has happening. Over a week after signing our closing documents we were finally notified that the funding was not going to happen and they told us there was nothing they could do for us. Upon hearing this Doug went above and beyond and figured out a way to help us so we could refinance. He was communicating often with me about where we were in the process. It is obvious he was knowledgeable about the process and all the options available. Thanks again Doug!

My boyfriend and I worked with Rick Reynolds and Heather. They made the closing on our house so easy and without any stress. I am so grateful for our decision to go with this bank, we closed in 30 days and they are on top of everything and anything you throw at them.

I worked with Christopher Jorgensen, outstanding from start to finish. Christopher is knowledgeable, transparent, helpful, available. He gets to know his clients- work schedule, the best time to be reached, what form of communication works for you. I am very happy with the refinance process. Thank you to The Federal Savings Bank and Christopher Jorgensen.
