Good place to get shots and routine and things of that nature. However he will not be able to identify any type of serious illness or issue with your pet. He just is not attentive or knowledgeable enough to identify serious health issues. My dog died after I took him there three times explaining that there was a major issue and that I thought he was bleeding behind his brain and he dismissed it and prescribed eye drops. My dog died over the weekend and once he learned it he still sent me a bill for the treatments that had nothing to do with his hemorrhagic stroke.

Dr. Presnell is mentoring a new vet to take over. She was great with our Boston Sophie. Fast service and reasonable prices.

Dr. Taylor and her staff were amazing! We drove over an hour to this vet and it was VERY well worth it! So thankful for such a great vet that cares so much for my dogs! ?

A friend of mine has used Dr. Presnell for years with great success at a lower cost than my current vets prices, and so when she was giving up an appointment slot I jumped at the chance to take it for my aging dog who needed to be seen. Unfortunately, we were seen by a new, younger vet (apparently taking the practice over) and NOT Dr. Presnell. The bloodwork came back less than favorable and she suggested they keep him for two nights. She said they couldn't keep him longer regardless of his condition because of a one day holiday (that should have been a red flag). I inquired about overnight hospitalization prices and was told it was $60 a night. We agreed. We called to get updates (they never called us with any information) and the one and only time they called back, I was told he seemed to be doing better with fluids and had taken a spoonful of food. After the second night, we picked him up with the expectation (by what we had been told up to that point) that he was doing a bit better and anticipated a $300-$500 vet bill. The bill was nearly $1000!!! We were then told "he may, or may not recover". I know there is no way to predict the outcome, but my dog came home even worse than he was. Once we saw him it was obvious that he hadn't improved at all. He refused to eat, vomiting and had labored breathing. I wish the vet had given us a true prognosis of how bad things were. I would have preferred a truth bomb that it was his time, rather than given hope when things were hopeless of improvement. I had to go to my regular vet and have him put down after having had him home for 1 1/2 hours. I felt horribly guilty that the last two nights of my aging dogs life were spent having test and being given injections surrounded by strangers. The vet never even called after the holiday to see how my dog was doing.

I called them needing something pretty quick. I had called my previous vet and they said I had to wait until January. Volunteer animal clinic evaluated my dog over the phone and said to bring her in if I could be there in 20 minutes. They are the best!! Really helped my little girl!!!!

I love Dr. presnell and his staff. They are very caring. I really am sad to see the office closing after this year, but Jack deserves a wonderful retirement after all the years of dedication to his patients and their families. God bless ❤️?
