1st visit: Lunch with friends, everything was great, From greeting my party at the door to the bill. Service (Christy?) was on time and friendly. My Salmon and fries were cooked perfectly. Nice views with great service and food.Lodge stays,I have stayed at the lodge 2 times for special occasions. 1st time the floor tiles in the room were loose and dangerous, No towel holders in the bathroom.2nd time the room was ok... patio gate was falling off the hinge. The steak was delicious and perfect.I don't think I'll spend the money on staying here again but the restaurant is worth visiting.Nearby activities: Paris landing state park is a large park with access to Kentucky lakeSafety: Well lit large open areasWalkability: Mostly hills and rocks.Food & drinks: Great food and service

Can't begin to express how disappointed our family was with this lodge. From our unclean room to the wildly rude staff to the lackluster restaurant, we were underwhelmed to say the least. The people working the check-in and shop from Dec. 30/31 were incredibly rude and unhelpful.Upon arrival, our room had a large dead bug on the bathroom floor and the ice bucket had melted water sitting stagnant in it. Leaves you wondering how carefully they cleaned the rest of the room. The restaurant was painfully slow and there were multiple mistakes ... missing food, mis-priced items, ect. The food was also not very good. The crab cakes looked like McDonald's nuggets and the cocktails were basically liked canned drinks.Common spaces are fairly nice, although staff treat you like you're breaking and entering if you try to hang out in them. The grounds were disappointing too. The waterfront was not very scenic and there were few paths to walk around. You have to walk on the road to even get to the playground. Not many hiking trails in the park.

Nice getaway from the city and the city people. Nice and quiet, nice bar in the bottom of the place, great rooms for weddings and events. The rooms were very nice and clean.

It was an easy check in. Upon entering our room on the third floor in room 355. The room was nice and clean. The best part of it was the view of the lake. There was a balcony that you can sit out and look at the lake. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries. Another plus was the continental breakfast provided from 7 to 10 am. The negative focused mainly on the night's sleep. The pillows were an odd size and not comfortable. The bed was on the hard side and the sheets were rough. The couch was also not comfortable and was made of a material that reminds me of outdoor furniture. Besides that we had a nice stay and would possibly try staying again in the future.

When we arrived to the venue I was very impressed with the curb appeal. There was a fabulous view of the river when you enter the lobby.Like any other hotel stay we check the room for possible bedbugs. The mattress and pillows had bedbug zipper locks. The bed sat on a platform. The headboard is just a feature wall behind the bed. During our initial inspection, we found no signs of any bedbugs. The 2nd morning of our stay my husband noticed something crawling on the bed. We killed the bug and took a picture and did a Google search to find out it was indeed a bedbug!!!!!We called the front desk to report it and she offered to send housekeeping which confused me. A few minutes later two ladies showed up with flashlights. They said they would bring us trash bags to put our clothes in. We were told we needed to leave so the could further investigation and treat the room. They denied any prior knowledge of bedbugs being a issue. They didn't offer an apology or showed any great concern about our potential to take bedbugs to our home.I asked, Ms. Hawk who identified herself as the Housekeeping Director what was their protocol in this situation. She simply said she was not knowledgeable of a protocol. She reiterateded we need to get all of our belongs put in trash bags and prepare to leave the room. She never offered an apology, didn't ask us for our contact information or offered to follow up with us.

We hosted our sons wedding here. It was a wonderful experience! The venue is gorgeous, the food was wonderful and tasty, the hotel was top notch! All the vendors recommended by the lodge staff were timely, professional and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this lodge for all your parties! And also for your lake resort needs. Five stars all the way!

I have not stayed here. I stop to visit while traveling through the area. Very nice location. Nice lobby and grounds. We did go to the restaurant to grab some afternoon lunch. I got a burger with fries and a soup. The soup was great. The burger was good, but the fries came out cold. Our waitress was very good, she did go get us some fresh fries.

When we first got to the lodge, we LOVED it. Its absolutely stunning and the check in employees were great. Our room was clean and the view was spectacular. I did notice that even though it's only 1.4 years old, the laminate tiles are coming up in the rooms and the place is COVERED in spider webs. Dinner was just ok, basic. The reason it's 1 star and not 4 is because that night the fire alarm went off at 1:45am, which in itself is fine. Better to be safe than sorry. We all evacuated and we're waiting for further command, but there wasn't an employee to be found for awhile. When he did appear, he didn't seem to know what to do..which is no way a reflection on him, but on management for not preparing staff for this kind of situation. The manager/employee on call appeared and walked into the building, but didn't say a word to the guests and we never saw her again.Once we were given the all clear by first responders (not by employees), we were told that we could return to our rooms, but that the alarm would be sounding indefinitely because the staff didn't know how to turn it off. The whole thing was about 3-4 hours and about 1.5-2 hours of that was that they couldn't turn the alarm off. We were told in the morning there was a "glitch" and it just was what it was.I totally understand things happen and I definitely don't mind evacuating, but the lack of communication from staff and the lack of care by management given to the elderly guests that were stuck in the cold for a couple hours was disgusting. There wasn't even an apology or gesture at check out..just basically stuff happens.Take your money elsewhere..somewhere that not only has better food, but that shows guests compassion and understanding.

We went to the restaurant for a family dinner. We were seated promptly and our server was pleasant enough. Then came the food. Out of 11 plates 3 were decent. I ordered a burger and it started great it was cooked correctly, and looked presentable. Which I can't say the same for some of the other plates $19 catfish plate served 1 filet on top of a few fried potato chips and a side (Pitiful). My burger tasted like it was cooked on top of the shrimp that went with my nieces pasta. But hey the cheese curds were good! To end it all they add an 18% gratuity without asking which equated to a $50 tip for the worst food ever. The only reason I would give a star at all was our server. They should fire the cook!

We attended a wedding at The Lodge. It is a beautiful location and the new building is so pretty. But the maintenance and staff leave alot to be desired. The elevator was broken making getting around within the hotel a nightmare. The bride and groom had a beautiful backdrop for their wedding but the windows were so dirty and had cobweb's, that is was a distraction. We waited at the front desk for over 35 minutes to speak to the check in staff. The metal supports on the balcony were broken. It has great potential.... just needs someone that knows how to care for it.
