Our families & friends have been coming to Eagle Cove for the past 26 years. Since Safe Harbor took over, the rates doubled & the cabins have gone down hill. We have seen NO investment in the facilities and safety is now a concern. We will not be back to rent. It is too bad for us. We have had so many great memories.

No wifi in cabins 9 and 10. Staff was unresponsive in dealing with the problem.

We stayed near Eagle Cove (about 1 minute away. We rented a tritoon from Eagle Cove and spent the day fishing and swimming. It was the perfect day. It was ready and the boat was in good condition. The staff at Eagle Cove were friendly and professional. They answered many questions we had about the area. We took the boat over the old town of Willow Grove that was evacuated when they put in Dale Hollow Lake. My dad grew up in that area, and we were trying to find the area where he lived. I stayed in a cabin in Eagle Cove a few years ago with friends and the cabins were great. Whether you are renting a boat or kayak or staying there, it is a good place to use. They are a smaller marina with no restaurant, but a nice small store. It has a great view and it is easy to boat out into the main lake. It has a small dock and ramp near the parking lot, so it was easy for my dad to walk down to get on the boat. The location is definitely away from it all!

It’s been 20 years since I rented from Eagle Cove. This time, I rented a cabin and pontoon boat. I live my live with low expectations so what we received for the 2 story chalet was actually pretty decent for the money that they charge during the week.Overall, the cabin that we rented worked out just fine for us. There were visible items to note, carpets had some staining, door knobs were loose, upper bathroom floor near the shower seemed like if you stepped on it hard enough you would fall through, furniture is probably 20 years old, gutters growing greenery due to not being cleaned out, wasps nests, wood steps up to the cabin needs to either be replaced or sanded. I felt that as I was carrying my heavy cooler up the stairs, I may have broke thorough some of the steps causing me to break a leg and cooler contents going everywhere.Staff was friendly and had no issues with them. Reading the other reviews, it appears to me that the “corporate” ownership wants nothing to do with rehabilitating this property until someone gets hurt and they get sued which is a shame because the location is absolutely beautiful.

Eagle Cove resort used to be a fantastic resort. After Safe Harbor took over , not so much. We have stayed here many times over the last 9 years, and this resort is on the edge of being a "Do not recommend." The cabins have not been updated since the first time we stayed here, the mattresses on the beds are horrible, and the cabin dock is in terrible shape. The deck on our cabin has loose boards and screws sticking out. Our cabin had several lights burnt out, and a fan that didnt work. The maintenence tech was very helpful, and wanted to fix everything but couldn't get parts for old equipment. Having said all that, the cleaning crew does a great job with what they have, and the cabin was clean. Safe Harbor hasn't spent any money to improve this property and it shows.Food & drinks: No restaurant on the premises and the the ship store has almost no necessities. Bring your groceries or plan on boating/ driving to get anything to eat.

"Safe Harbor" is neither "safe" nor a "harbor." I have stayed here and rented boats from here for many years, I'm pretty sure last week was the last. The Safe Harbor corporation has neglected this property to the point it is ridiculous. The safety issues include many missing and broken boards on and around all docks, including the main gas dock. It is to the point that small children should not walk on them alone....and no one should walk on them after dark. The harbor is barely one, at least a third of the dock for the cabins is sunken, and has been for awhile. The docks that are usable, have no padding and exposed nails. The $50/night covered slips are available, but most of the roof is blown off, and has been for awhile. The $659/night bigfoot cabin came cockroaches and mattresses that were worn out and would be rejected by a homeless community. The running toilets kept my wife from sleeping And the window blinds were unusable.....so Hello Neighbors. When I spend $659/night, I expect better and that corporate might take $10 of that and replace a deck board so that I don't stumble and fall.Bottom line, avoid Safe Harbor properties and go with Sulphur Creek, Willow Grove or another marina that is investing back into their customers needs!!!!

We arrived late and found stains on the carpet in both bedrooms in Chalet 18. Clerk told us that carpet was treated. Safe Harbor need to replace. Wood on dock needs to be replaced. Safe Harbor needs to spend money to make money.

This is our second year staying here at the cabins. I'll start by saying there is a lot to like about this place and we plan on going back next year. The view and sunsets are really great. The layout and accessibility of the marina, dock, parking, playground, fire pits, other cabins, etc are great. The cabins are also cleaned well. This year we spent extra on a hot tub, which was a great upgrade because we had one rainout day and its beautiful to watch the sunsets in. We were also quite satisfied with the general location of the resort on the lake itself. If you want just a basic place with AC, a toilet, stove/grill, hot shower, etc after you come off the lake then this is it. If you want something that is more luxurious and not just the basics, then this isnt for you.Now the bad. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a lot of maintenance that isnt being done that is keeping this place at just an average 3 rating. Various outlets not working, exposed wires, internet going out, leaky hot tubs, minimum plates/cups/utensils in each unit, missing/rotted boards on the boat dock and decks, metal fronts on the boat dock that dont have any kind of bumpers/covering, a section of the dock that is mostly sunken, stains all over the carpets, and the littlefoot cabins have the worst mattresses I have ever slept on in my life(our friends in other cabins agreed, so it wasn't just a one off). The marina only has 93 octane and charges a dollar more for it than some of the other marines on the lake. Also, do not use the boat ramp by the cabins as it is too steep and you will bottom out (only place this has ever happened to me). Use the one further down instead.I will say the staff here is friendly, and tries to accommodate you the best they can. This year when we arrived the first night our hot tub didn't work. The general manager answered when I called at 9:30pm and sent someone out that night to look. When they couldn't fix it he upgraded my cabin first thing the next day.

We have been staying here every year the last 15 years. This place use to have the nicest cabins. However each year it’s been getting worse due to no upkeep. We stayed at the big Chalet cabin and the beds are ALL caving in, the mattresses are so overused and painful to sleep on. Same for the living room furniture; caving in and uncomfortable. The side door is broken, the internet goes in and out constantly throughout the day, they do not stock the bathrooms w/more than 1 roll of TP, they told us to put out our basket of dirty towels on the deck to be replenished but it has been days and no one picks it up, the flooring when you walk in the entrance way is busted, the deck boards going down the stairs are wobbly and very slick (most of us have fallen), the hot tub has a leak so we were told to just refill it ourselves with a hose each day. All of these issues need to be fixed immediately. We are finally after 15 years looking into other places to stay due to the cabins and docking getting worse and worse each year. Most of the docking slips now are broke or sinking under the water. It’s terrible to see this place getting worse every year. But since nothing has been getting fixed we have finally decided to not come back.

We have stayed in the cabins at Eagle Cove the past 5 years--most recently this past June. We stay in the Bigfoot Chalet cabins which are advertised as the most luxurious (and expensive) cabins they offer. Each year the cabin is in worse shape due to a lack of maintenance. The carpet in the master bedroom is disgusting. We had to lay towels over one spot for my wife to agree to stay in the room. Lower level bedroom carpet not much better. The hot tub has a leak and would drain enough water out overnight to make the tub not function. Lower level shower leaking. Front window blinds would not work. Dining room clock has not worked the past 3 years. Many more issues (loose door knobs, exposed outlets, etc). I left Mgt. a partial list of issues when I checked out. Based on past years experience I have no confidence that the issues will be corrected. Courtesy dock for cabin renters boats also continues to deteriorate each year. Sections are not safe. We love Eagle Cove but are to the point of looking at other options for our annual trip due to these issues. We hope that Mgt. will start addressing issues rather than continue to let the facility deteriorate.

Last time staying at eagle cove unfortunately. Been staying here for years and things seem to get progressively worse without any form of improvement. This is accompanied by a $400 a night price tag for a cabin that has more things wrong with it than right. The shower drains are always clogged. Told the front desk on our most recent visit and it was never fixed. Nothing like standing in 4 inches of dirty water after a 5 minute shower. The ceiling fans shake so bad it feels like a gamble leaving it on while sleeping, and the beds are so bad you’re better off bringing blow up mattresses if you want to get any sort of sleep. I’d advise bringing your own kitchen silverware and utensils as well because they are always filthy. All the steak knives during my last stay were oily and multiple pieces of silverware, spatulas, etc had visible dried up food on them. All the rubber ware looks like they’ve been used on the outside grill because they are all melted to hell. We ran the dishwasher three times and it didn’t even dissolve the dishwashing pod. It continued running while the door was open and we noticed the entire top sprayer wasn’t spinning or even spraying water at all, and the bottom wasn’t strong enough to even spray water more than a couple inches upward. Lastly, I can’t stress enough how terrible the docks closer to the cabins are. They are held in place by ropes tied to a guard rail and you often need to step up over a foot to get up onto the dock walkway. Older people would never be able to make it. There are loose boards without any screws, slips that have nearly sunk completely, many missing rope anchors, and zero padding to protect your boat. The front of each slip is sharp solid metal that will tear the front of your boat up if you aren’t very careful while docking. The location is so great, but paying over $400 a night for a half broken cabin has left us more and more disappointed year by year. Getting 3 stars instead of 2 simply for the location, nothing more.

We stayed in the Bigfoot Chalet and rented a double decker pontoon for a bachelorette weekend and it was a total blast! Cabin was clean and so beautiful. The view was amazing. Plenty of space for a large group of friends or a larger family. The boat was also wonderful. Loved having the upper platform with the slide.

We love Eagles Cove! We have been renting double deckers there for about 3 years! We went today and as always it was amazing! The staff are always friends and willing to make changes if they are needed. Today, the boat we rented had slide issues. Within 20 minutes we had moved boats and were off for the day!Thank you to the staff of eagle's cove!
