No one was at the Alamo counter but a sign saying go to the National counter. Despite having accelerate pick up we had to stand in the national line for 20 minutes. We got to the counter the girl radioed and said I hope we have a pick up truck available. I was told they were getting one ready and that if I wanted to go wait in the coffee shop which concerned me. I asked how long is this gonna be that I need to wait at a coffee shop. It is not hyperbole when I say we waited 45 minutes for a gentleman to come back to the counter and say I’m going to get the truck now. I stopped him and told him this this is ridiculous. We have been waiting can’t you give us something else and he said what do you want to drive? They gave us a Dodge Durango and a free tank of gas. And everybody from our flight had to get in the same line because no one was Alamo. Everybody that had been in line was gone while we were still waiting around for a vehicle.

Processing was handled at the enterprise/ national counter beside the Alamo counter. It was explained that Enterprise owns Alamo. They gave me several choices and I opted for a camry. The car was freshly washed and vacuumed. The only concern was that when I turned the radio on, it blasted at almost full volume. Caught me off guard. Otherwise, professional and efficient clerks. I always advise taking a slew of pictures at rental and at return. Will use them on my next trip to CHA.

I recently rented a car from Alamo at the Chattanooga, TN airport. When I arrived at the rental desk I noticed that the Alamo desk was unattended, but there was a sign that said the Enterprise desk could help Alamo customers. There was a small line at the Enterprise desk so I quietly waited my turn. Apparently they had a new computer system recently put in so the wait took longer that I expected. When I finally got to the desk I was about to give the attendant my reservation number when he said "Can I help you?" I said yes sir I have a reservation. Before I could get my reservation number on the phone he asked for my driver's licenses and valid credit card. With that I got the impression that maybe some people try to rent with out a credit card or with a debit card. Anyway, I passed the cards to him and he began the check in process. The clerk said "I see you reserved a suburban or similar". I said "yes!" He said, "we'll all we have are Ford Expeditions and Jeeps." I needed a full size extra long vehicle for a company function in TN that weekend. I said "would you please show me what you have?" We made our way to the lot and WOW! I was introduced to the Jeep Wagoneer L. I had never seen any thing like that in a Jeep before so I was very eagar to test it out. We made our way back to the desk for check out. The clerk asked if I wanted a paper receipt or email I requested both for expense report purposes. Never know if the email will come over you know ;-). Finally made my way back to the Wagoneer and my goodness, what a nice vehicle it is! I think it was a Series I or II but so luxurious and well made it was. And it had so much space. Just as much or more than a Chevy Suburban. This one had the hurricane V6 (not the highout put version) but still had so much power. It's carried that large vehicle effortlessly. And it had so much technology. I hear the Grand Wagoneers are even nicer. I sat in the rental parking lot for like 15-20 minutes to get familiar with the technology and connecting my bluetooth and off I went. What an absolute pleasure it was. On my way out of Chattanooga, I had a 6am flight so I had to drop off the vehicle at 4:30 am. The drop off process was so easy. Just parked in an open space and put the keys in the drop box. One of the nices rental experiences I have ever had.

Unfortunately my private email was shared with about 30 other customers on a "quality assurance" email from this location and even though I've called and had a complaint submitted 3x NOTHING has been done about this violation of privacy policy.

The staff is nice but it's a complete interrogation each time you rent. The same 3 questions and they always want to know business or pleasure? None of your business first of all. And on the they pick option - I was asked if I was looking for anything in particular and when I was it was $ 30 per day more. I only use them when they are the cheapest. Not for any other reason

I was involved in an auto accident in OCT22 and had to get a comparable vehicle. When I finished check in and walked up to the Ford Expedition EX, it was dirty, the license plate was flipped horizontally and there was tons of damage to the exterior of the car. The inside was filthy and smoked in. I rented it for a month and spent $2500. I had to call them multiple times during that month because I unexpectedly received unauthorized charges of $2000/week (twice) for additional weeks, when the weekly agreed amount was $550. I told the representative of my less than satisfactory experience and he said he would take 25% off my total amount and to "not kill us with a review this time". No discount was applied after several days and weeks. So when I called Alamo to try and reach the Chattanooga airport location directly, they said they cannot connect me but would leave a message to call me. No one called in 7 days. I called again. For the poor service and inconvenience, they offered me a few free rental days. Again, no one called me back. I called one more time with the same request and nothing happened. Now they say that they closed the inquiry because they gave me 3 free rental days.......coupons that I never asked for, that I don't need nor do I want. I cannot get away from work and live 45 minutes away so its not easy for me to get there in person to discuss this. Really unimpressed and disappointed in these guys at the Chattanooga airport and in the company itself.UPDATE: APRIL 4, 2023I FINALLY (four months later) had this issue escalated and after hours and hours of additional phone calls since this message.......they told me there was nothing they could do for giving me a damaged, dirty vehicle that reeked of cigarette smoke. The new Chattanooga manager called me and said he was new & did not make the decision. This man repeated himself over and over, never listened to me so we can arrive at a decision and was completely unaccountable. Don't accept any discount or offer unless it is in writing nor believe their promises.

Business is at the airport itself. So convenient and no hassle. Very intuitive service and directions. From pick-up to return of the vehicle.

When I arrived in Chattanooga and walked up to the Alamo desk it was closed, directing folks to join the Enterprise/National line. This line had 3 parties in line, plus one at the desk. Just one person working the front desk. I waited 80 minutes in this line just to get checked in and be told that the car wasn't ready and to wait for them to call my name (no time/estimate provided), even though my pickup window for the car was over 1 hour ago. Service person was kind, but there should be more than one person working to support, the time waited and wasted is nonsensical.

My friend was up here on vacation and got her car broken into. They stole her wallet with her ID and her credit cards and broke the window in the rental car. She came here to switch it out and they were rude to her and would not give her another car without her ID when they knew she just got her wallet stolen. What is the procedure for this? How embarrassing! I do not recommend Alamo! She was literally stranded here, what if she didn't know anybody to come get her?

Do not rent from here! And if you do, use your own insurance to keep your rate down. I was estimated just under $400 for 4 days. With taxes I was expecting the final total to be around $500. I was asked to provide a $400 deposit upon arrival to pick up the car, because I was using a debit card. That was fine as I have always been reimbursed for the deposit from my experience with Enterprise. Upon returning the vehicle I was about 20 minutes late ( I stopped to get gas). When I dropped the car off I didn’t speak with a person to spell out the charges, I was told to just drop off the keys (lunch time) I just received my final bill and was charged over $800!! They charged me a full additional day for being 20 minutes late, and took my entire deposit. I should’ve followed my instinct to ask to speak to someone about the charges instead of hoping I wouldn’t get ripped off. Never again!Just because the cars here are cheaper doesn’t mean your bill will be any smaller. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!
