Feb 25 '24 Maybe management heard the complaints. We read reviews about the theater and were concerned. But, we were staying in a hotel downtown so took a chance. The theater was clean, restroom (women's) was clean, staff at the front of the theater were friendly. If they keep it up, this is a fun location to visit and take in a movie!

Very nice staff, Coke freestyle, the theater was a bit dirty, but it was only us and another couple.

I rarely go to the cinema because of inflated pricing, the only good thing about this visit is that we were the only 2 people in the theater

Great place to mix chocolate covered raisins into your popcorn ?. Please give a bathroom break for movies over 3 hours?

Validation of parking ticket for the garage on the adjacent block makes the downtown parking search less of an issue (bring parking ticket because the garage will not accept the movie ticket stub as proof). There is a limit to the validation, if you see a long movie you will still have to pay. We watched a 3+ hour movie and still had to pay. They need to change the sign on the front stating free parking since it is limited. When they have 20 minutes of previews plus the movie you will definitely exceed the limit for longer movies.Didn’t have the sweet scoop option for you to add to your popcorn. Typically a clean and well maintained theater. Close to so many choices for accompanying options for entertainment that you can spend a great deal of time downtown doing things that are within walking distance from one another.

This is probably my favorite theater in Chattanooga. At least AMC theater. Anyway, they have a family restroom that is completely ADA but if you go in the regular restroom if you're in a wheelchair, you cannot reach the paper towel dispenser and most people in wheelchairs wouldn't be able to reach the soap dispenser either. And I think that's really sad because this is 2024 and if someone is using the family restroom I have to wait. And I almost use the bathroom on myself because some employee was using it. Still would come to this place. Still great people. We just need to educate each other

Staff is kind and friendly. Place is unreasonably dirty. So much could be improved with some simple Windex and paper towels. Why is the concession counter so filthy? Not appealing. Questionable health risk just to have a soda.

They didn't have a marquee on what was playing. The staff didn't know either. SMH

Bottom line: most expensive & worst theater experience I've had post-pandemicI travel full time and like to watch discount Tuesday movies wherever I go. Most places, this is in the neighborhood of $5 - Cinema West, Cinemark, Regal all provide that (though usually you have to be a member of their free membership tier.) And mind you, every theater I've been to this year has those nice recliner seats, sometimes even loveseats if you want to cuddle up.When I visited home for Christmas, I've been disappointed to find the Tuesday discount for AMC theaters is $9, well above the rest of the country. And that's for aging, non-recliner seats, and an overall filthy theater. (And that's besides the overall rudeness of other people - cell phone usage, talking out loud, propping bare feet up on the backs of seats, etc. This last time, the guy sitting right in front of me left halfway through the movie to smoke a joint. The fumes when he came back made my eyes water.)I will say, I went to a special showing in the "Big D" theater and enjoyed it more. The seats are more comfortable, but I'd still hate to watch a "Killers of the Flower Moon"-length movie in them. And the sound in both movies this week was very good, theater temp ok, and the young staff does well. One last word about parking. In big letters above the door walking in, they proclaim free parking with your movie ticket. Park in the garage above and they'll validate your pass BUT that's only good for 3 hours. For my 3-hour movie, I was parked for 3.5 hours and had to pay $3 that I wasn't expecting - felt like one more kick in the pants on the way out! Better to park for free on the street after 6pm.I'd rather drive to *any* other theater than revisit the downtown AMC that's literally around the corner from where I'm staying. And as run-down as the Chattanooga Regal is, for the prices and recliners, I'll probably only go there.I don't think Chattanoogans know how bad they have it with AMC. It's not like this in other cities.

Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking situation. Utterly worthless cinematic presentation. Projection was blandly bright on a darkly lit film washing the strong cinematography out to muddled greys, with an exit sign positioned so that it actually glowed over the lower left corner of the screen. During bright daylight scenes the white could be seen to visibly flicker. Audio was pathetically low, with the trailers booming louder than the film itself. All in all, would have been better served waiting to watch the film at home on my modestly sized 4k a few months from now, an embarrassment in cinematic presentation. Shame on AMC, but thanks to the regularly helpful staff. -Sept. 17: 'A Haunting in Venice", 7:00 showing
