Very quick check in process even though the line was long. The vehicle was new and very clean. Everyone was personable and professional at check in and drop off. Will be renting from then again!

First of all, when you got to the airport there's only one person to serve everyone and the line was extremely long. Nevertheless, the rep at the counter was in great spirits and very professional. My biggest issue is there's a huge sign that states, if a car is returned extremely dirty then there is a $500 cleaning fee. So please explain to me why the car I received was extremely dirty and had a foul smell to it. I have pictures and videos and would love to send them to who ever reaches out to me. I would have immediately went back to the front desk to complain and ask for another car. However , that line was extremely long as I stated previously and there was only one rep. The car was not washed or cleaned on the inside at all. It was evident that the last renter had a pet because there was pet hair everywhere and the air vents were full of dust. Also there was melted candy under the air vents in the back seat. I was really disappointed and upset with my experience renting with this company.

Avis has understaffed their airport location. Their automated phone system will not allow you to nspeak with a representative. There was no one on-site when we picked up the car at the airport. There desk person was patient and helpful.

On the agreement it says to return the car at 9am, I did return the car at 9am, the original agreement was "109.36 now I have an extra charge of $92.45, called customer service and I was told that that charge was for an extra hour, they Avis person said that the car was checked out at 8:45 am instead of 9am, and that I was supposed to return the car at 8:45 and not at 9am like the agreement says, for one extra hour I was charged close to the same amount as for a complete 24hr day, even though the agreement says 9am which is when the car was returned and was not told any about any changes

I have used Avis for car rentals exclusively for the last twenty year's. Always Newer Vehicles. Great customer service and a very user friendly App.

My reservation charged .40 per mile vs the usual unlimited mileage. I have never NOT had unlimited mileage with my cars at Avis so I overlooked it. What a bait and switch. Never rent from Avis again.

Picked up car from CHATTANOOGA airport. The guy at customer service was good. But the car was not clean proper inside. There was a trash in the driver and passenger car doors. The passenger side door had a used sanitary napkin. I have being renting from Avis for a couple of years.

The customer service at the Chattanooga Airport is extremely lacking! I pre-paid online with a debit card, and was told that they would only accept a debit card if I had an in-bound or out-bound flight from the airport. I understood that it was company policy and asked if the other location (Hixson) would accept a debit card. I was told yes, but not to even bother with it because they close at 5:00. It was 4:30 at this point, and since I’m local to the area, I didn’t mind switching locations. I asked the clerk if he could please call the other location and see if they had availability. Again, he said it was pointless to even try because they were closing and probably didn’t have the inventory. Which he followed by saying, “They probably wouldn’t take a debit card anyway. I asked again, “Can you call anyway just to see?” He then says, “Why would I call another location for you? This is your reservation and you’re the customer! I don’t need a rental.” He then gave me the phone number after I asked him twice. But of course, the number goes to an automated center like most rental companies, so I didn’t get to speak to a person. Yes, I was the customer and was very disappointed in the utter lack of CUSTOMER service that was given. I left and made it to Hixson location shortly before 5:00 pm, only to see that they closed at 6:00 and would indeed take a debit card. I was very understanding of the company’s policy and had no problem with that. The clerk’s overall attitude and unwillingness to help or provide further assistance is the issue. If he couldn’t call or didn’t want to call, there are better ways of declining a customer’s request than in this particular manner. I mean… Even Wal Mart will call another location for you, so pardon me for even asking.

Service was great even though they were short staffed. Even though I am Preferred and pre-paid for my rental the inventory sucked! I was not able to choose the car that I wanted and the attendant told me that it was whatever I got, I got! Which was very rude. Overall the vehicle we received was awesome and I am still a certified car renter from AVIS!

I rented a car for 2 days at Avis Chattanooga - gave it back on Sunday 10 September at 5:42pm via the self drop box (as nobody was at the counter in the parking). Avis charged me another full day as they said I Gave back the car on Monday 11 September. Deeply dissatisfied with the process, this is neither fair, nor professional.

Despite having prepaid online, I was required to present a credit card with at least $250 available for a hold. Because I did not have that readily available, I was not given the vehicle I rented. However, Avis still deducted the money from my bank account, so I paid in full for services not rendered. Do yourself a favor -- don't rent from this location! Do NOT enter your payment information in advance!

Had a reservation for 8:30 intentionally showed up late because I somehow knew they wouldn’t have a vehicle ready for my RESERVATION. What these airport rental companies are doing is taking advantage of your customers and allowing them to reserve your overpriced trash vehicles and not really having them in stock. Why is it legal to sell something you don’t have? I have been waiting for my RESERVED vehicle for over an hour now and the rude front desk gentleman has nothing. He explained how people who go to doctors have to wait, and suggested I go try another rental company. Pathetic service, rude staff, and fake inventory. Avoid renting from Chatanooga airport at all cost. If I reserve a vehicle, you should have the inventory to fill that order on time. This happens far too often. It’s almost 10:00 am my day is shot. You have wasted 2 of my hours. -weekly traveler and renter

Horrible! I will never rent a vehicle from them ever again!! First vehicle had no oil, engine light came on! Had to take time out of my trip to exchange vehicles! Paid for elite was given base model! Was better off taking my own vehicle only rented to make everyone more comfortable! All it did was stress me out and give me a bad back!!

Was not treated very well at the Chattanoga Avis counter. I had made a reservation for my car. The time was 11:30am. My flight was canceled so I had to take an earlier flight and got there at 9:00am. I was told by the man behind the counter that I could not get my car until 11:30am. I never dreamed that I would need to change my time on my rental. So I had to sit and wait for over 2 hours to get my car. I have been renting cars for almost 50 years and I have never been told that before. I explained what happened with my flight but he didn't seem to care. A second employee that came on later was the one that actually wrote up my reservation and he was extremely nice, it was the first one I dealt with at 9:00 that was rude.
