Love this cute yellow shaved ice shop. Such a fun element to the Coolidge Park experience. Bill’s shaved ice is always refreshing treat in the heat of TN summer ?

If you’re on the Northshore or hanging out at Coolidge park, you have to check this place out! The owner always has a smile on his face and he works so hard everyday! It may not look like much compared to some of the bigger spots nearby, but the way you feel when you walk away from Mr. Bill’s cannot be replicated at the bigger stores!

I spent some time walking around Coolidge Park with mom. I have heard positive comments. This place is well known because of the shaved ice. This truck has a menu that numerous cold treats to chose from. ~~~There are a couple steps up to the counter. There are no handrails on either sides. The gravel around this truck and parking lot is uneven. I stood on the gravel. The parking lot is small and tight. There are signs on inside so make sure parking is allowed. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The lemonade has stronger flavors than store bought. The lemonade was rich and decadent. This lemonade was similar where carnivals have stands. I loved there was a squeezed lemon inside the cup and enough ice to keep it nice and cold. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Like most shaved ice/ snow cone places, this was a little food truck type thing. You don't go inside because there's only room for the ice, flavorings, and a worker. I'm not sure if this is one that moves from spot to spot or if it has one place where it is always located, but I had it just outside (maybe even still inside?) Coolidge Park. There were one or two other food truck-esque places nearby, but this was the only one that was open, and it was slightly apart from the others too. When I went up to order I was the only one there, but then two more people came up behind me by the time I was done. I could be remembering wrong, but I don't think they had any pre-mad flavor concoctions. It was just a list of flavors and you could choose which one(s) you wanted. At first I just got coconut, but then as he was making it I also decided to ask to add strawberry. I thought maybe the coconut alone wouldn't be that strong of a flavor. It was a good choice to add the strawberry! For one, it made the color of the shaved ice more exciting (the coconut would have just looked clear), and it was also yummy! I tasted more of the strawberry flavor than the coconut, but I still tasted some coconut in there too. The price was pretty normal (less than $5) and you got a pretty good amount. It wasn't the most flavorful snow cone I've ever had, and the ice wasn't as soft as I'm used to, but it was still a nice little treat on a warm day.

Always stop by when downtown. The pink lemonade shaved ice was my favorite, that is until the new "supreme it" came about. The strawberry shaved ice with the ice creme almost taste like you're eating strawberry cake.... Very good!
