Absolutely the worst buying experience I’ve ever experienced. Was lied to 5-6 times by Artis about delivering our order. Finally he admitted that he lied and that’s what he has to do to appease customers. Horrible way to do business. Blamed everyone else but could care less about his integrity.

The owner, Artis is an absolute con artist. He is a crook and will take your money and you will never get the products you ordered. I don’t know how he has ripped off so many people in Chattanooga and managed to stay out of jail. DO NOT GIVE THEM A DIME!

I would give a zero if it was an option. We paid Artis thousands of dollars in November 2021 for new doors to be installed at our business so that we could open up our location. As of this date, we still do not have our doors installed and have not been able to open our business. He has held up our business for a year and a half and we have been given the run around about when he was coming to do the install. Now we are getting the same run around about getting our money refunded. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!!

This is THE WORST company ever. I spoke with Artis about needing an exit fire door. I explained it doesn’t have to have a window but sill need it and the frame. I requested for a picture of his product before making the purchase and was told he’ll have to look for it in the warehouse. When I called the next day to inquire about the door to order he assured me it was the correct door and he could not get a picture. So I placed her order and ask that my receipt be mailed to my email address. I called again letting him know I never received the receipt and wanted to make sure the door was ordered. He told me the door was ordered and he will sent the receipt. Well several weeks went by no receipt and no door. That then turned into it is now a special order and it won’t be in until another two weeks. Well two weeks went by again no receipt and no door. No door and no receipt then turned into it is now here and we will have it delivered at 2pm. 2pm tuned into tomorrow at 2pm. To that 2pm turning into I’m on vacation nobody brought the door. Toot will be there on this day… well it finally arrived. Not in a box and not what was told I’ll have. But a exit door with no cut out for handles as I told him I needed. This place is HELL to work with and not deserving of any one’s business locally or any other type of business.

Builders Hardware is the best hardware company in the Chattanooga area. Having been in business 61 years, they still provide the quality personal touch that most larger manufacturers do not provide.

I purchased an order of doors for a commercial building. They told me it would be ready in two weeks. Now it has been a month and on several occasions the salesmen has said it would be delivered the next day. Today he said it would be delivered this afternoon. Again no delivery..... I would avoid buying from this company.

I have been very disappointed in the way Builders Hardware handles potential business. For over one week they continued to give me the run around about whether the door I ordered on Dec 4th had come in. I contacted them no less than 9 times to try to get information, but continually was told Ardis had "stepped out." I feel as though they no longer want to honor the price I was given and have no intentions of selling me a door. Several weeks prior to ordering the door I was quoted a price of $814 for the door, that same door was priced at $631 on Dec 4th when I called back to order it. I hope the individuals at this business will contact me to make it right once they see this review, they certanly won't return my call.
