I recently bought a truck from Carmax of Chattanooga and the experience was bad all throughout except for one person. Only one person followed through with their word to me and didn't lie to me and when they didn't know company policy they took the effort to find it out and get back with me on the answer to my question. All other 11 employees that I encountered lied to me repeatedly, and when I brought this up to each one I was consistently given the attitude and body language of "that is too bad for you, but I am not going to do anything about it because I just don't care" with words out of their mouths of "I'm sorry". The employees consistently demonstrated that they didn't care if they knew company policy or not, they would make up an answer to my questions just so they could make a sale and move on to someone else. One gave me a business card with a phone number and email that he never used and weren't working. Another example (I can't list them all here as there would be no room) is that the walk around where they can answer up to 5 questions before transporting it to your location for a fee, they completely lied and said there was zero rust under the truck and when the truck arrived there was moderate rust underneath the entire vehicle I was considering. MODERATE! not just minimal on a couple of small spots. The unprofessionalism at this location is large spread and deep. When one employee said they would fix and correct the lies and errors they and their company had told me and caused for me during this process he did the bare minimum to fix the issues. I wasn't asking for special privileges or treatment, I was just expecting and asking to be treated with respect and told the truth. The fact that there are so many employees that work with this same location who demonstrated repeated unprofessionalism and repeated lying would tend to show that this is more of a management issue where management is training and managing their people poorly. If it was just one or two employees that did this to me I would tend to think it was more them individually. In truth, it is probably a combination of both being the source of the problem. I can't say if the entire Carmac company is run like this, but the Chattanooga branch deserves less than one star and if I could have given it zero stars I would have. I recommend going to another branch if you decide you still prefer to buy from Carmax at all.

Got a Dodge Durango brought up from another Carmaxx and was going to look at a Chevy Tahoe also. Impressed the manager called and said the Tahoe didn't pass inspection. Offered to get me any vehicle and pay for shipping but I went and drove the Durango and bought it. Financing was easy and we were out of there in under 2 hours. Will definitely buy from here again!

My experience was great start to finish. I had a small issue after taking delivery and Carmax made it right with no hassle at all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership.

Carmax made everything so quick and easy. Very friendly and eager to help! They weren't pushy and seemed to be concerned about making us happy.

I'll say one thing about this place ,they won't pester you while you browse the lot, but they are a bit pricey,but always have a great selection, I just wish some choices were a little more affordable!

We ordered our minivan to be shipped here. It came in on time and we scheduled it for a test drive. We came in and were greates by Jud. He was friendly and helpful the whole time. Even with some kinks in the systems being slow, paperwork not coming through, etc that were out of our control and theirs every staff member went the full mile to make sure that got the job done and were easy and pleasant to deal with from start to finish. I was comfortable the whole time and was not bothered by the fact we were looking for a used car unlike how it felt looking at big name dealerships. Will definitely be back down the road!

Wouldn’t buy another from here. Paid $1700 to have my car shipped from up north. When it arrived it had a weird film all over the paint. Had to take my car back 3 times before it was fixed. During that process, had the wiring to my back right emergency break nearly fall out. Have also has to completely replace brakes, rotors, and battery within 5 months…. Needless to say, they don’t check ANYTHING before selling the car.

Buying exp was great no hassles. When the car was delivered it was filthy with dog hair on the inside and cigarette ashes on the dash and seats. Then in general just dirt. I work in the car industry and never heard of someone selling a filthy vehicle. Also while cleaning under the seats found broken wine glasses luckily did not get cut. We're thinking about bringing back before the 30days due to being scared of what else may be wrong. Also vehicle was a 1.5 quarts low on oil so doubtful that oil was even changed. This vehicle is going to cost over 300 to Abe inside hair and filth detailed. We may still bring it back. Have not decided yet. The sales lady made the sale easy, but there is no excuse for this.

I went in to sell my car and from start to finish the whole process was easy. I was given the offer I received online so I was very happy with that.I received top-notch customer service from everyone I came into contact with. I highly recommend selling your car through Carmax.

My car had been in an accident and declared totaled by the insurance company, so I went shopping…I found the car that I wanted, or thought I did, but it was in Georgia, and I am in Tennessee, Tennessee. Through the app, and the app Alone, I was able to get the car transported to my local dealer. Amazing.When the car arrived, I looked at it, drove it, and arranged to purchase.When the car was being transported, there was some damage done to the rear bumper Which, which, along with a couple of other minor Imperfections, Carmax agreed to repair.Through rather unusual circumstances, this was the third car in a year that we have bought through Carmax! They are unbelievably accommodating and will work with you, and almost anyway. In my previous dealings I actually had to return a car during the 30 days due to changing my mind on what I wanted. They took back the car, gave me my money, and helped me to find the right car!!They actually do what they say, they will do! Really!! The best!!

We love our new car. It fits our family perfectly. CarMax made it pretty easy. Took us just under two hours and we were driving away in it!
