The absolute best place to buy produce and local dairy / meats / eggs, and the essentials.. honestly it’s like the farmers market is open Wed-Sat for me when I can’t make it to the actual farmers market due to work sched. And I use my EBT and so I can afford to get healthy organic produced for dollar on dollar discount (I hope the horrible bill they just passed in Congress doesn’t end that)

Produce is typically rotting, or it's picked too early to ripen. With fruid that is past edibles, i find slicing it up and add cinnamon or nutmeg to make a fall favorite - Pottpouri!

A necessity in our community, 'Gaining Ground' is a purveyor of both high quality local produce and social good. When your organic options are constricted to either the limited window of Farmer's Markets or the granola wing of the Amazon behemoth, 'Gaining Ground' provides a much needed alternative that is only significantly handicapped by very limited space resulting in long lines at checkout and constricted selection. With a staff that feels like the best expression of our community and produce that lasts much longer in your fridge thanks to freshness and quality this business it is a must know gem for considered consumers.
