Special shoutout to Justin helping me with rental of a PA system when we had a musician come perform at our house. I was clueless and he made sure I had everything I needed. Have used them twice and highly recommend Guitar Center.

Strap in, folks, because I'm about to sing the praises of Guitar Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the guitars are tuned, the drums are banging, and the staff might just be the reincarnation of rock legends in disguise.First off, stepping into this Guitar Center is like entering a musical wonderland, where the air vibrates with potential hits and the scent of new guitar strings is as intoxicating as a front-row concert ticket. The place is stocked with so many guitars, from electric to acoustic, that you half expect them to start playing themselves in a symphonic uprising led by Jimi Hendrix's ghost. Now, let's talk about the staff. Ever wished your guitar teacher could shred like Slash and philosophize about music like Bob Dylan? Well, wish no more. The team at Guitar Center Chattanooga isn't just knowledgeable; they're walking, talking encyclopedias of rock 'n' roll wisdom, with a dash of Southern charm so potent, it could make a banjo weep. They take "service with a smile" to a whole new level, providing advice, laughs, and even the occasional impromptu jam session. Ask them about that one chord you can't nail, and you'll likely end up in a philosophical debate about the meaning of life, or at least the best guitar pick thickness. The store itself is so welcoming, you might come in intending to browse for a few minutes and emerge hours later, somehow knowing how to play the intro to "Stairway to Heaven" and with a newfound determination to start your own band. The layout is intuitive, inviting exploration and discovery, with hidden gems in every corner. Whether you're a seasoned musician or a newbie who can't tell a bass guitar from a bass fish, you're in for a treat. And for those of you with niche musical interests, fear not! Guitar Center Chattanooga has you covered, from obscure pedal effects that make your guitar sound like an alien spaceship to ukuleles that could probably survive a drop from the top of Lookout Mountain. They've got more gear than a gearhead could dream of.In summary, Guitar Center in Chattanooga is more than a store; it's a vibrant hub for the musically inclined and the musically curious alike. It's the kind of place where you come for the strings but stay for the staff's stories about the time they almost (definitely not really) went on tour with Led Zeppelin. Whether you're in the market for a new guitar, need to fix an old one, or just want to soak up some musical ambiance, this Guitar Center is the place to be. Rock on, Chattanooga, rock on.

Place is always busy, and it's stock full wall to wall because the actual building is so small. I had alot of friends that worked at GC when I was involved in the OKC music scene. But didn't buy that much there unless it was from my bud Johnny. When I went to Chattanooga the first time it was pretty bad, til I started to talking to Todd and the guys at the front desk. These guys are knowledgeable on alot of gear, and they aren't just making a paycheck, they're trying to help. I've seen some rude ass people in there and they are polite wven to them. And everytime I've gone in there they've been busy for the most part, yet they were always running to unlock acoustics and make sure questions were answered. The guys who work in lessons are a bit less should I say eager, and it's a shame cause they may not make much money, but they have a pretty cool job. I've bought my PA and 2 Gibson acoustics from these guys and aside from Dave's guitar shop, Gruhn and Norms just to name drop a few, i can say this is one of the best guitar stores ive been to. Most of the staff is caring for their customers and knowledgeable and they remember folks. Inventory is pretty good considering theyre in a mall snd they have alot of high end guitars and are never hesitant about letting anyone play anything. Thanks Todd and all yall for helping me find all the gear to get me back out their again and remembering who I am when I come in. These guys actually give a rip.

Dyed hair monopoly man doesn’t like when you test guitars in store after trading. Shame. I was literally going to use the 1600 cash I got from my trade to buy a bass while I was there. But he drinks the corporate kool aid too much I guess.

The best trip to guitar center we’ve ever had. Every time we go in and need help, it seems that no employee wants to help. Chandler went above and beyond for us this afternoon. He answered every question and made sure we knew what we were getting. He was awesome and by far the best employee at GC.

I went here to get some adapter cords for a wedding. The gentleman who helped me was so kind. He was very knowledgeable and gave me good advice. I bought several items and it worked out perfectly and I was relieved as I had fully relied on him.

I pre paid for some lessons, I was told that I could bring my Grandson back when he was ready. I just spoke with a not so compassionate manager and she said my account was canceled. Of course it is! I wasn’t referring to future reoccurring payments. I was referring to the PRE-PAID LESSONS. Oh WellI even bought a drum set from them for him to practice.

I stopped in to purchase a Spark. Was told they had one, “I’ll look it up on computer.” Did not do it. Three employees stood in corner having good time. Customers were ignored. Seems like standard level of service at Guitar Center.

First time in a Guitar Center store. I went in to purchase a speaker cable. Waz was the first salesperson I encountered. He did a good job of helping me find the cable I wanted. When I went to check out, I asked if I could use a $5 coupon I had received via email from GC. Waz wasn't sure how to handle the coupon, so he asked the manager for help. I didn't catch the manager's name, but he is easy to spot with his long hair. The manager's attitude was poor from the start. He acted as though it was a big waste of his time to be helping with such a trivial task as typing in a coupon code and printing out a receipt. It wasn't until I got back to my car that I noticed the manager had not given me the $5 coupon credit. At that point, you couldn't have paid me $5 to go back into the store and deal with the store manager that gave me such a poor customer interface experience. That will be my first and last visit to the Chattanooga Guitar Center.

This review is for ordering online. My package was “lost” by UPS. The tracking said it was delivered but the picture proof was not my house. My son was at the house and saw the UPS driver go past our house. I called Guitar Centers customer service line. The guy that answered said. .. “oh wow. Not sure what to do. I guess we could open a trace but that would take at least 10 days to start. You could call ups yourself. Do you know the local driver?” Why should I track down a package that they sent? I told him to just give me a refund since I didn’t want to go searching for my package. He said they could/would not give a refund without the product. I told him he needed to track it but he kept insisting that I was in a better position to do so. It’s not my product until I receive it. I will not be ordering from here again. If you can not pick it up in a local store.. I suggest you don’t buy from there.

I was there yesterday and I wish I had gotten the young man's name. I was there to buy gifts for two people and I really didn't have a clue. The store was busy and I checked all around until I found someone who worked there and I just said I NEED HELP. I told him what and for whom and he took me to exactly what I needed. And I left the store spending about $40 less than I expected to. I didn't need to go to the long line at the register, he took me to one off to the side and had me in and out in minutes. And I have the perfect gifts! I'll be back next Christmas.
