One of the best experiences working with Home Rate Mortgage on East Brainerd Rd location. They helped me out more than I ever could imagine with a refinance deal! Isaiah Tate treated me first class. Whenever I had questions or needed help on decisions, I couldn’t ask for a better person than Jeanette Jolly! Always dependable and on top of her work getting the job done. Called a month ago talked to Ben,I knew it was a long shot but called anyways told him my story he said he would look at it, I never got a call till I called back a week later they said he wanted more info so I gave it and she said he would call back and now 3 +/-weeks later I call back again and he gets a message to call and when he did he told me what I thought but my problem is he wasn't friendly like the previous time when he was looking at making a sale and no return call to let me know ,his excuse was it was marked inwas called back

After experiencing a nightmare from a major bank, it was refreshing to deal with a mortgage company that is knowledgeable of the industry and knows how to process a loan. Scott Phillips and his entire staff provided excellent service and processed our loan expediently. We could not have ask for better services.

Have been hearing Ben Phillips' Home Rate Mortgage ads on J103 in Chattanooga for years, and I had an unexpected need of them this year. I figured they had stood the test of time advertising on a radio station that values honesty and integrity so I gave them a call. I haven't been disappointed. Isaiah Tate took my account and explained things up front and locked me into a refi about as good as I could expect in this economy, and Jeanette Jolley was my loan processor, and I'm very glad for that. An unexpected refi in this economy is scary but Jeanette made it efficient and also friendly and genuine. And I thank her so much for that.

Ben and his team are amazing. Special shoutout to Sam for stinking with it and making it happen. Many obstacles to overcome never excepting no for an answer. I’m a veteran and would recommend Homerate Mortgage every time.

I cannot recommend if you want a speedy or easy process, our adventure started Dec 12 after all kinds of paperwork, contracts, and promises, today , 3 mths later, way more behind in payments then were, now which is now gonna even facing foreclosure, ... Our credit sucks way more than it did (700-500)which is now gonna hurt our potential of going another route we,are out 750.00for appraisel, still owe about 5000.00 for deck repair that had to be done before hand... we have full time jobs, a home that appraised for 200,000 more than what we owe, .... No we were not in great financial shape at all but that was the reason for investing in this process... i am at a loss , i have no idea where to turn now....

I gave them one star because it is not possible to give negative stars. Dealing with HomeRate Mortgage has been nothing but horrible, frustrating, and a waste of my time. They can't seem to get their papers in order in a timely fashion, they appear to lack the ability to communicate effectively with the appraiser they use, they don't communicate with their customers about problems with closing dates or how the file is progressing, and they caused me to waste days of my time while they endeavored to get their things together. After we appeared to be closed, I just heard today (from the closing agent and not from HomeRate Mortgage themselves - because they appear to lack the ability to communicate with customers) that they think they need to close again, despite me having a signed note. I have bought and sold multiple house and I have never experienced anything like my fiasco with HomeRate Mortgage. These people lack competence and any respect for their customers or their customers.

I had first heard of Home Rate Mortgage on a radio broadcast and also learned of a few friends that had used them. When I first contacted home rate more than I spoke with Jordan and he walked us through the process very efficiently. He answered all our questions made everything very smooth, the communication was nothing less than excellent, and the rest of his staff we dealt with including Rachel was just phenomenal. Of all the financial transactions I have dealt with in my life this by far was the most enjoyable and painless. I would not even think of recommending anyone else
