We have used this H+R Block for a decade and the same preparer for the last few years.This year, that tax expert along with another made not one but TWO mistakes on our taxes and cost us thousands of dollars.The original woman we worked with mistyped information into the software and it reflected as income we didn't actually earn. We questioned how we owed so much, and instead of checking her work, she just told us it's because of our tax bracket.When we got home, I reviewed the paperwork because I was sick over how much we were told we owed, and I caught the error that the initial expert made.We returned to the location the next business day after finding the mistake, and the initial lady with whom we worked was not there so the manager had us work with someone else to file a correction.The second preparer made a mistake on the 1040-X form, which my father found when I told him that even more money had been withdrawn from our account.When we went back to see what could be done about the mistake with the 1040-X, the initial preparer was there and confronted us about why we were there. I quietly said we found a mistake on our paperwork, and she was very rude and unprofessional to us. She stormed through the office and did not apologize for the error that caused the IRS to withdraw thousands more from our account than they should have. She said she has been doing this for 15 years.When we returned to have the final correction made, we worked with Peggy, who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, apologetic, and contacted the branch manager on our behalf. She said she was embarrassed these mistakes happened to us and that we were treated the way we were, even though she was not the one responsible. Thanks to her, we received a refund for the $250 we paid for our initial filing. Hopefully we will receive the refund we are owed from the IRS in the next few months.We, thankfully, are good savers, but I don't know what we would have done if we weren't because the incorrect filings cost us over $10,000. That is a huge mistake, especially when H+R Block guarantees accuracy with their work.

H&R did our taxes and we received a letter from the IRS that a mistake was made . It was my understanding that the charge for that return would be refunded and that did not happen

H&R block is the only one that will get you the most money out your taxes I love them they will make you very comfortable with whoever your with & not only that the people are very friendly I just love them
