My son has been doing drum lessons with Barret for a couple of months now. I have been blown away by how much my son has already learned. Barret is so fun and my son is always glowing with excitement after each lesson. Barret has so much enthusiasm for music and always brings great energy to the lesson. Kids can’t help but fall in love with music after time with him. Highly recommend!

I started drum lessons with Barrett just after my 75th birthday in January 2022. I'm sure I'm his only Grandma beginner drum student. The reason for my adventure was that there was an unused drum set on the platform at the church we attend. During a ladies' meeting the comment was made "We need to find someone to play them drums." I thought to myself, "I wonder if I could do that?" And so it began. Although I've always sung in a choir, and played the guitar back in the Hootenanny days, I never touched a drum. Barret started from scratch with me, and I'm at the early intermediate stage now, and I keep learning more from him and on my own. I've played in church every week for the past year, so I've achieved what I set out to do. Thanks, Barrett, for your encouragement, patience and expertise. There's not a better teacher anywhere...and I know this to be a fact since I've been around the block QUITE a few times.

My daughter had been taking piano lessons with Barret for an and we are extremely satisfied with his classes. Even after moving out from TN to Atlanta we are continuing classes with him via video call. I will recommend Insane rhythm to everyone and Barret is the best.

I am pleased how much my daughter's skill level on the piano has improved with Marcia Hughes' teaching. Warm and professional, Mrs. Hughes has a positive and welcoming demeanor that can help younger students to feel at ease from the first lesson. That she enjoys teaching music shows. Mrs. Hughes can also provide lessons through FaceTime, which is a great thing. If for some reason I cannot drive my daughter to Insane Rhythm, she has her lesson at the regular time using FaceTime.

Barrett shatters 5 stars! More like 10 stars!After watching countless drum teaching videos on youtube, I decided it was time to take some in person drum lessons so my technique could be critiqued so I wouldn't develop any bad habits.I got on google and searched my area for drum teachers. That's when I found Barrett's studio. I watched several of his videos and was blown away at how much hard work and dedication he put into his music! He was amazing at every instrument that I desired to learn.After taking my first lesson from him I liked how easy going he was. He was thorough, precise and easy to understand and follow in his explanations and demonstrations. He has a deep understand of music and could help anyone of any skill level meet and exceed their goals whether it's drums, guitar, bass, piano or ukulele.I look forward to many more lessons from him in the future! I would highly recommend Barrett from Insane Rhythm Music Lessons to anyone looking to learn any of those 5 intruments!

I'm coming off of a few months of lessons from Barret and am a more confident drummer than I ever thought I would be. He was patient with my hectic schedule, understanding of the things that were tripping me up, and knew exactly how to fix them. I was also impressed with his musicianship. All-in-all, he is a great musician to learn from.

My son lance started off taking piano lessons. After a year he transitioned to taking guitar lessons. At home, we never asked lance to practice, he always made time and did that on his own. Barrett was so good and patient with him, he really looked forward to Monday evening practice. Because of the magnificent and talented teacher that Barrett is, we have a live in piano player and guitarist.As for price, you can't beat Barrett's prices. Even with already low prices, Barrett offered us promotional prices for example during Christmas or start of the year.Communication was great with Barrett. From talking about our son's progress to schedule. He was very flexible and never missed a scheduled lesson with us without proper notice.My son took a break because of school track and field schedule, but will be going back in the summer.I am a real parent to Barrett's student and my family and I are always talking about how grateful we are to have found him.If there were more stars I'd definitely give them but, yes try insane rhythm and you will have zero regrets.Faith
