I brought my cat Bob for a checkup at Northgate Animal Hospital. The doctors and assistants have always been very kind and gentle to our pets over the years. They obviously love their animal patients.
The expertise and skill as doctors is absolutely first class. I am always thankful for their kindness and care, gentle and loving ways with animals. They are the best!

We recently moved to the area. After several unsatisfying visits with different vets, we ended up at Northgate. They are fantastic people. Everyone is professional and friendly. The vet addressed our pup's problems with common sense and solid medical advice. I would highly recommend!

It was just a fiasco of customer service for a new patient. Automatic doors are locked. Every parking place indicates to call inside like we did during covid. So they left these signs up until their base got used to this. In the reviews, you get an inkling that their often repeat customers are treated quite differently. Once I got inside, I started asking proper way to enter. She pointed at the clip board, emitted the covid reason, turned her head completely from me and started to talk to her co worker ignoring me. So, I just decided to talk to her coworker rather than this woman. Got in to see the doc and he's a very knowledgeable vet and has a radio show. I was in there ONE hour with him telling me things I already know(heart worm and flea medicine have been integrated into one). He acknowledged this was not relative to my dog, given we don't have fleas.
The sarcastic response below about " giving customers too much" says it all. I understand that you are already what you want to be. I apologize for saying anything.

Would recommend this vet to anyone looking for a loving/great care experience for their pets. Everyone in the office from front desk to drs are absolutely a pleasure to work with. They answer all questions and are super friendly. Thank you for being there for us and loving our little guy!!!

They saved my dog’s life. I called 7/2 concerned about bleeding on my dog’s back. Had been there the day before because she was limping. Was treated for a back pain prob with injection . The next day I noticed the bleeding but didn’t see a wound. It continued to bleed with no obvious injury.
Thank the Lord I called back and their receptionist was astute and told me to come back.
Next thing I know, it looked like she had a snake bite. I couldn’t believe this bad luck .
Was referred VAC River. My dog was so sick.
They determined she got into rat poison. Treated her with all kinds of advanced therapy. Brought her home today.
Thank you to NAH and VCA River for saving my Charlotte’s life.

Dr Ward is the best vet ever! I haven’t been thrilled in the past when we’ve had to see other doctors there, but overall this is an amazing place and hopefully the only place we will ever use for veterinary or boarding services.

We’ve seen Dr. Jim for years and have always had great experiences. We recently had to put our 17 year old pup down and that’s why I am writing a review now. The care and compassion for both our old girl and our family were unmatched. The staff and doctor here love animals and care for people too. We’re clients for life.
