Terrible experience. Started off nice. Made them aware we would like a noon checkout. As the top tier Bonvoy member we usually have 4:00. The next morning they drove us crazy to leave; and the laughed at the reception when I explained my disappointment. Breakfast was non existent and seemed dirty. Valet never brought our car. The rude lady receptionist gave us our key with no apology. This place was horrible! Sad…it could be decent with a hospitable staff.

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS BEWARE: if you use a third party website to book, such as Concur for business travel, beware of hotel policies not shared.
I made arrangements to stay at this hotel for a second time in as many weeks for business travel, only this time I brought my family along. The trip took much longer than usual. We were exhausted, planned to take our toddler for a quick bite, and go straight to bed. As soon as we pulled up to the hotel a woman greeted us and asked if she could speak to me before my husband unloaded the car.
I went inside with her. That’s when she told me the hotel has a strict “no kids” policy. I will spare you the very rude and unproductive back-and-forth. Her message: they don’t allow kids, no exceptions, and we would need to stay somewhere else. My message: no where in the booking process was I made aware that the hotel had the policy, we were already there, it was late and we would not cause a fuss. I was escorted from the property.
Hungry, tired, and with a toddler ready to get out of the car seat, we were able to get last minute accommodations at the Westin, where the staff were friendly, accommodating, and complimentary of our son’s good behavior and polite manners.
I confirmed with Concur that the policy was not shared throughout the booking process. It is also worth noting that while The Dwell employee insisted that the policy was prominently displayed on their website (which I didn’t use to book), it isn’t. Turns out you have to scroll to the very bottom to see it. The policy is also stated nowhere in the hotel where it could be seen.
So if you tend to book through third party platforms, beware. This hotel will turn you out without accommodation.

This hotel is amazing. The staff are so polite and friendly (the manager is fantastic!!) and the hotel itself is gorgeous! The location is great and definitely walkable to many places. The Matilda midnight bar has some of the best cocktails I’ve ever tried. 10/10 recommend staying here!

My husband and I are in love with this boutique hotel! We’ve stayed twice on different occasions passing through this adorable town.
The interior design is incredible! The painstaking detail to the mid century theme is a sight to behold.
Staff is polite and accommodating. Giving a shout out to Harrison and Brian. Love you guys!
Beds are very comfortable. Rooms decorated funky and fun. The overall vibe of the hotel is relaxing. It’s kept Very Clean!!
I should say the private balcony does not necessarily mean you’re going to have a view.
Ours was restricted with a wall. I think those rooms should not even be advertised as such. The rooms that DO have a view should be advertised.
Overall we will definitely be back!

The hotel is super unique! The staff are absolutely some of the nicest people I’ve met and are caring for all guests. I stay in a hotel roughly 130 nights a year and would stay here every chance I got because I’ve enjoyed it so much. The sheets are super soft and the beds are very comfortable. Deep soaking bathtubs in each room with bath salts can help you relax during your stay.

A beautiful and welcoming stay right in a great walkable neighborhood. Valet was super easy and cost $24 per night. The interior design is absolutely beautiful and we loved our room. Front desk and valet staff were wonderful and The Dwell will be the ONLY place we stay when visiting Chattanooga in the future.

We came to The Dwell Hotel to visit Matilda's Midnight and everything from the bartender (young man with longish dark hair) to the drinks, was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. Also, a huge shout out to Carol at the front desk for ending our anniversary evening in the most lovely, simple way.

So much attention to detail at The Dwell Hotel. It felt like you were stepping back in time with the fun room themes and vintage decor. Though the building is old, the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The service staff was very hospitable. So many photo opportunities at this hotel! They truly thought of every detail. Forget a phone charger? They have one in the room for purchase. Want a late night snack? Also in the room for purchase! So convenient and thoughtful. The beds are comfy and the robes are to die for. Also for purchase in your room! Only slight thing to note is it is downtown so there are many noises and pedestrians in the street and parking is very limited. Just read valet/parking instructions before you go!

Hotel has potential- atmosphere is cute and retro but the service was awful, a guy training (young guy) at the front was extremely rude and didn’t give a shit about being there or helping at all. He was even rude to the other employees there in front of customers. The bartender was great, and very kind. I hope that they figure out their front desk staff bc it definitely has potential. Wouldn’t go back due to the lack or service and also felt like we were the only guest in the entire place.

I'm absolutely LOVE this hotel. It's stunning, full of character, and has a cozy, homey feel. The charming little bar downstairs, open until midnight, is the perfect bonus. We will be back!

Our overnight stay at the Dwell Hotel was almost perfect. The room was beautiful, the staff were very helpful, and the bathtub in our bathroom was luxurious. The only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the bedding. The polyester bedsheets and comforter were so hot and uncomfortable that my husband and I had trouble sleeping. Considering how amazing the rest of the room was and the price, the bedding was disappointing.

2 nights at The Dwell Hotel was just what we needed! Beyond the beautiful decor and the soaking tub, the people here were wonderful!

Beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance of many restaurants and event venues. Each room is decorated differently with working fireplaces and balconies. The bar, Matilda Midnight, is a step back in time. Their bartender has skill and flair for imaginative, delicious cocktails. This is a must stay for us. Dwell Hotel is charming, beautiful, and meticulously clean with wonderful staff and service.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
