I don’t usually post a lot of reviews…but after yesterday’s experience…I have to.I’ve been with TVFCU for about 10 years or so…usually don’t have a problem with them.But the last year has been TRASH!The “bank tellers” can’t help you do anything in store…except print you a new card, I guess.They can’t help with withdrawals or deposits of any kind.They also can’t open new accounts, add people or delete people from shared accounts. I went in yesterday to add my fiancé to my bank account, was directed to to a cubical in front of a computer screen to be put on hold for a while, while the bank teller who ushered me to the room stood and watched me on hold.Half through the wait i ask “wouldn’t this be much easier if you just helped me with this instead of watching?” Her response “oh no we aren’t allowed to open new accounts inside”

I am moving to Chattanooga for work and thought I would open an account at TVFCU. I am currently in Michigan, moving down next week, but have an official job offer letter and a signed lease stating my new address in the Hixson area but was denied for not having documentation showing I will be a resident? Takes forever to get a response back and they go back on what they said.Honestly glad they denied my application, I deal with significant amounts of money for my work and will be taking it to a different credit union who made me believe they actually care and won't make me jump through hoops to access it or start additional accounts.

I use to favor TVFCU highly back a few years ago, but not anymore. They would not refinance my own car back in March due to their underwriters that treat you like a number. Now the icing on the cake when I deposited a check they decided to put a "hold" on my funds until Friday which is going to cause me to be late on 2 bills. When I spoke to their customer service regarding this, had no sympathy whatsoever nor not willing to help. You are losing a lot of customers with these tactics and not a surprise from some of the comments I have seen.

The customer service is going way downhill. They started charging me for sending a bill but I’ve been trying to go paperless with no help. There’s no option on the app. I called and they told me I had to do it on their website but it’s not letting me. So apparently they keep charging me with no help. What happened to your service?

Absolutely stupid experience. One person in the lobby, no other customers and she can't help me because they have kiosks. I had to reenter my information three times and it wouldn't accept my signature. I would've had faster and better service with a face to face interaction. This is horrible, I am looking to switch banking services due to how bad TVFCU has gotten.

Worst experience I've had with a financial institution in my nearly 55 years on this planet. BofA, Wells Fargo, Chase, Golden One Credit Union... ALL worlds better.Staff was initially very friendly, but transactions constantly get red flagged as fraud, even buying a Coke from a vending machine AND paying my cable bill. Customer Service via phone is almost non-existent and seems to have a two year old's comprehension level of English. I hung up after 20 minutes of being run around in circles. Automated attempts to clear up the nonsense were even worse. All you'll get is "I don't understand what you said, please enter your card number yet again, and repeat what you want". WHen I finally went back to the office earlier this afternoon, all I got is a bunch of lame excuses about fraud protection and essentially how they think their customers are too old stupid and inbred to safely buy anything over the internet.NEVER use this credit union!

TVFCU has decided to basically destroy its costumer service and care by going completely 'digital '. You go inside and are now told to go a 'screen ' and wait digitally in a line for someone to come on the screen..?? and if you want to open an account or get a loan.. you Also go talk "another screen"? it's ridiculous and highly disrespectful to costumer, it's also not efficient for the computer person still needs a physical person to do things...

I have been a member of TVFCU for many many years. To me this is the best relationship I’ve ever had before with any institution I have banked it. They are very friendly and helpful in any type of situation you may come across. Myself, I would not bank at any other place. Thank you TVFCU.

If I could give zero stars I would - I love how TVFCU promotes itself as "neighbors and friends with a personal interest in you" don't be fooled! They have no personal interest in you! My husband, a nurse, passed away due to COVID and TVFCU refuses to let me be the primary on the account we shared for 14 years! TVFCU may call themselves a home town bank but they are not! They have no regard for those in their community! Not even widows.

I paid my vehicle off on the 10th to sell it. The loan wasn’t closed out until the 16th. I spoke to Beverly who was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Kept telling me if I paid with a check it would take longer to process even though I told her twice I paid with cash. Very disappointed in this experience as I have an unsellable car collecting dust from others negligence and received no help tracking the progress of the Title I have been waiting on for almost 2 weeks.
