About Volkswagen Chattanooga
Volkswagen Chattanooga is a well-regarded assembly plant that began production in April 2011 and now employs around 3,800 team members. It assembles vehicles such as the Volkswagen Passat, Atlas, and Atlas Cross Sport, and is set to become Volkswagen’s North American hub for electric vehicle and battery pack assembly, with the addition of the ID.4 in 2022. Visitors and drivers have noted that the facility is professional and efficient, with unloading processes that are quick and handled by friendly, helpful staff. Some reviews mention that management may have improved over time, making visits smoother and more positive. Employees describe working at the plant as being part of a fun-loving, teamwork-oriented family, where camaraderie and a positive atmosphere thrive despite the hard work. The factory combines the latest technology with skilled workers, creating a lively environment filled with laughter, friendly competition, and occasional amusing moments like robots with personalities. The plant also hosts community events, such as concerts, which are enjoyed in welcoming venues. Visitors and workers appreciate the secure truck parking inside after the checkpoint and the friendly security and receiver staff. While some express concerns about traffic issues around roundabouts, overall, Volkswagen Chattanooga is seen as a dynamic, friendly, and successful manufacturing facility.

Professional workers. Make sure you have all your paperwork. You have to park and walk to security shack. It takes around 2-3 hours to get unload and reload.

My family went to the Mid South Symphonic Band concert hosted by Volkswagen Group of America. It was wonderful to enjoy some great music presented in such a welcoming venue. Thanks to the Band for all your hard work and Volkswagen for making us so welcome !!

I like VW of Chattanooga. However I wish there was something done for the vehicles that speed and disregard the roundabouts.
