Visited in September with my husband and it was not a great experience. The woman serving us acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She barely spoke to us, and when we asked her questions, we got very quickshort answers, not to mention a few that were condescending. No explaining about the wines or winery, just nothing. Both of us left there feeling like we weren't welcome. The wine was pretty good itself, so 2 stars for the overall experience.Update 12/7/23: their page popped up on my FB and I see that they are pleading to update their account to get rid of the bad reviews. So sad!

Love their wine! The store is always decorated very cute! Also like how they always try to make things a community event and include all the businesses around them!

Lydia was so helpful. The wine is quite nice; we bought several bottles to take home.

This is a cute little place. In a small old town. The Winery has a lot of wines to try. Most of their mines come in dry, medium, and sweet. You get a big tasting cheap. The lady working there is very knowledgeable and very fun to talk to. The wines are great. They all have very interesting taste and stand out from other wines. If you are close you should stop by. Parking is at the end of the buildings. Very short walk.

My husband & I celebrated our anniversary during the I Love Wartrace celebration this February, and were glad that Big Creek Winery was on the schedule! Our hostess, Candy was delightful, as we tasted several varietals. Great conversation, relaxing atmosphere, and beautiful decor in this historical venue was a pleasure. We decided on the blueberry & blackberry wines! I highly recommend Big Creek Winery on your travels in this quaint little town of Wartrace!

Candy and Daniel along with their kids are always nice to see and be around. Now I might be related to them but do not let that invalidate this review. The tasting room is always inviting and stocked with not just wine but local artists' work; be it soaps, cups, skin care, paintings, etc. I happen to like the chap sticks that she stocks which are made with locally sourced ingredients (and they taste good too). I know just how hard they have been working on this and have been right by their side as much as I am able. You will not find two nicer people and wine as good as theirs anywhere. I very much like the Excalibur, which is a blackberry wine. I use it in some dishes I make from time to time. Also you can get most of the wines in several sweetness levels ranging from sweet to very dry. I've tried all the wines in varying sweetness levels and they are all very good. If you ever are in or around Wartrace, TN, please stop in and check them out. Candy and the rest of the crew that helps her run the tasting room can help you find a wine that you will like and maybe love.

9/24 - Today my husband and I, along with another couple that our friends of ours, tried Big Creek Winery Tasting Room in Christiana. The lady working there with long blond hair, did not greet us, did not smile, and while we were standing at the bar, asked if we wanted to taste. She poured 8 wines without saying 10 words. Nothing about the wines, nothing. She was downright unfriendly, unhappy, and clearly miserable with her job. It was a pitiful experience and we will never go back. She also did not thank us when leaving despite the wines my friends purchased. What a downer on our day!

Very good presentation, not pushy, atmosphere was great. Great tasting wines in a quiet, humble town. We celebrated an early Father’s Day with blackberry wine out back! We will be back!

We found this winery tasting room by chance in Christiana, TN. From the first taste of the first wine, we were sold!!! Flavorful wine, available int Dry, Med & Sweet were the best we have had since moving to TN.Josh was our host / wine connoisseur and he did an outstanding job of explaining the differences in the wine, giving us history on Billy, the winemaker and telling us about different wineries in the area. We had a really great time and will be back for local fests at the winery. These wines are not available in stores, but are worth traveling to the tasting room to buy them.Again, Josh, thank you for your hospitality, we will see you in a few weeks!Joe / Laura

Really good wine...we ended up drinking more than we usually do. Most bottles are $17-20. Tasting flight of 8 wines is $5.They have picnic tables outside with nice rustic country decor. Christiana is a very quiet town except for when the train comes through. It’s also across the street from Miller’s Grocery which is a really good place to eat southern food.
