I would give this place a zero if I could. I have spent the majority of my life around Clarksville. I moved away for several years and have been back a while. I have always tried to search out a hardware store to try to do business with as well as a grocery. All of the grocery stores are gone and now we are down to one last hardware store. Hardware City. The last couple of times I have tried to do business with them I have been told (over the phone, I like to call first due to high gas prices and the distance) we don't carry anything like that, even though I have been in the store before and I knew they did. Would someone please open some hardware stores here with an inkling of customer service.

Hardware city is great in the way going to your hoarder grandparents was. Only everything is for sale. Well mostly. Most of those things outside are more there for curb appeal. And the items that are for sale no one really knows how much they cost. Sometimes finding a price tag is as special as a unicorn riding a rainbow with a leprechaun on its back. But let me tell you if you ask where something is every one of those hard working cousins knows exactly where you can find it. They have everything. Literally everything. I've never needed something and left empty handed. They have a special treatment for customers too-they kind of assume you're going to steal everything. But understandable given the mess. The prices are reasonable for a one stop shop in the middle of south Clarksville. They know you're going they and you're going to buy from them. So they charge you for it. But don't get me wrong I appreciate it when I need it. However if you have OCD, claustrophobia, any sort of anxiety order, depression, self worth issues, forgot to eat lunch, had too much coffee or forgot how bad you needed to poop before going in you should go to lowes.

Don't go to hardware city, they held onto my lawn mower for 3 months saying they're working on it and trying to get a warranty claim, then when the warranty expired they finally gave it back to me and it immediately broke less than 1 minute running. Don't let them steal your money too!

Hardware City is a good old fashioned hardware store with lots of everything stuffed into every conceivable space. Always have what I want and I get the help I need when I ask.

Poor prices, went to purchase a ceiling texture stomper and was shocked to see it was more then double the price of lowes. Not only that the employees are too available. I was asked 7 times by 4 different employees in the first 5minutes if they could help me find something. Thanks guys for being so helpful.... in reality it made me feel rushed and unwelcome to browse at my own pace. The prices are good on certain items such as electronic connectors and marble pieces. They also have a unique selection for those hard to find items. However I picked up 2 identical packs of small flux paste brushes and noticed that they were different prices so after a little investigation I noticed that they put the higher priced packs up front and the low priced ones in the back. After further browsing I noticed this was the case for several of the items I was looking for. In conclusion this establishment while having a unique selection is lacking in common sense customer service, competitive prices, cleanliness, orginazation' among other obvious issues. Do it best.... I think not.

Turned in my chainsaw over one year ago. Never got a call on anything after I told them to go ahead with the repairs. I am now trying to retrieve it and they have no clue where it is. Told me they repaired it in March of 2018, but I have a phone message from September of 2018 asking to go ahead with repairs. Talked to Jody the owner who in typical southern fashion very nicely let me know that it was my fault it's not there. I should have checked more often. Now I am expected to eat a Husqvarna Rancher chainsaw. They do not exercise good business here. I will never use this business again! And if you are smart you won't either. The worst customer service I have ever had in my life!

Very disappointed in them for a lawn mower repair I had them do for my mom. I took the mower in on a Saturday, recieved a call from them on a Wednesday saying it would be around $400 to fix. I told the guy I would talk to mom to see what she wanted to do. A friend told her they would look at it for her to see if he could fix it before spending that much money. I called back and they said to just come pick it up. I went in on the next Saturday to pick it up I find out the

Of all the hardware stores, this is the place to go. Everything I've looked for at other stores (Lowe's or Home Depot) they either no longer carry the item, it's out of stock, way overpriced or whomever I speak to doesn't have a clue as to what I'm looking for, even something as simple as a thimble for a stove pipe. (Sp?) Joni is the person to speak with with down at hardware city. Incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful. Yes it's a small store and kind of high priced on some items but, I'm willing to pay for the knowledge and knowing that every time I've looked for something elsewhere, Hardware City has it. My father has gone here for many years as will I. I will always support local and I'll always support Hardware City.

I have been to Hardware City multiple times. The price seems fair for items I purchased. The staff seems to be the Honest type I like this. Its local I love this. The grass seed seemed high price 70 usd per 50 lb bag yet it was consistent with the competition including Lowes. It seems to be a family business, this is very American I love America God Bless You!!!

My parents just bought their THIRD set of gas logs from here that didn't work properly. Mom just told me they've had to PAY for the replacement even though they were defective from the manufacturer. Hardware City told them they don't sell used and they don't take returns so they'd have to pay to order a replacement. My parents are seniors. Don't shop here. No help and they apparently take advantage of those who they can take advantage of. Terrible place of business.
