My reason for only giving it 4 stars is because some items are hard to find and they've been out of what I wanted a few times. Other than that, this particular Lowe's is a good store.

Yesterday I was at Lowes on Madison and had over $700 worth of tools and supplies and I left the full basket setting in the isle since there was only self checkout available. I am a now former customer of Lowes since they have gone to self check out. I would rather drive to Wilma Rudolph and shop at Home Depot since they at least have on check out open. But I have found out that Thomas and Orgain still have knowledgeable people that will help you and check you out. Plus they are local.

I was going to purchase a new grill for my son who is the Army. I called the store to make sure they had the grill I wanted in stock. I was told by the associate they had all three of the models. I drove 30 minutes to the store and the associate greeted me and asked if I was the person who called. They didn’t have the model I wanted and then he proceeded to say he only told me they had several different models. I was very frustrated, but I thought there was no reason to discuss anything with him as he would just lie.
I called the manager the next day to inquire about the recording of the telephone conversation and she stated she didn’t have access to the recording.

Lowes on Madison St is the worst. Cheap, low quality chinese junk for more than you pay elsewhere. But what worst is the DEI incompetent employees that are too busy dealing with their issues to help a guy find a tool that they have no idea what it is. NEVER AGAIN

Just wanted to share some inspiration with you all. Lowe’s has been an amazing spot for me to visit recently. Crystal from there went above and beyond, assisting us in getting various materials for a renovation project in Tennessee for Jan Carrollton and Jon Carrollton. It truly takes a team effort to bring a vision to life, and Crystal's dedication is a reminder that with determination and help from others, we can achieve anything. Let's keep pushing towards our goals and dreams, just like how we did with this remodel project. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and wonderful things will happen. The first employee(guy) that encountered was rude and condescending about locks, but the next guy was knowledgeable & helpful from power tools(another dept).

Don’t expect any kind of service in the appliance area if your not dressed in your sunday best. I will take my cash and business to Best Buy or Home Depot and buy my washer and dryer there.
