Just moved to town and went in to open an account with a smaller local bank, you know the ones that are supposed to be better and more personable. About that! Michelle, the branch manager barely said two words to us, trying to make small talk and carry on a conversation. Asked my boyfriend to sign the forms, and after 30 minutes of sitting there in always silence, come to find out they won't open the account because he had a bankruptcy nearly 3 years ago! We realize we have credit issues, if you had bothered to disclose that you were pulling an actual credit report we would have told you not to bother and left a whole lot sooner! Basically, if you want to open an account you need a good credit score, no bankruptcy in the last 7 years (oh wait, isn't that when it comes off your report any how?) And probably want to choose somewhere that is a little more friendly! In the end, I'm glad she declined the account so we won't have to deal with her grouchy self ever again!
