Full service always has been and probably always will be! Cox family have always been great folks my grandfather Ellie worked there his whole life those were the days. New folks have no idea how the town square use to be certainly not like it is now. McGinnis is the last place from the old days…and my old car just looks good parked at the pumps ?

This is the best service station I have dealt with since I started driving, over 50 years ago! What a wonderful trip back in time, from the classic building to personal service. It is a nice treat to visit there what with all the hurried hub-bub, traffic and such every day around us. I look forward to my next visit.

Tom Holmes, David Parker and Tom Bad Boy, Looks like you are the same person. We have not been in business since 1927 by “ Being a crook” and over charging our customers. Bill Cox is my brother and partner in the business. He is the most honest man I have ever known. I am sorry there was a problem with your visit to McGinnis oil Company. Please come back and I will make it up to you. Thank you for the review, we need to hear good and bad.

I wanted to leave a zero star review, but it would not let me. Bill, the owner tried ripping me off, tried charging me for three times as much gas I owed $23 and he tried charging me for $90 worth of gas that is a complete crook. I am never in my entire life bringing my business back to this gas station because of what the owner try to do.

I really adore this gas station! When I first drove through this town square in 1992 I was immediately drawn to this great little corner station that is straight out of a Mayberry calendar, that was 26 years ago and it hasn't changed one bit. It's my place for ethanol free gasoline for my rifling mower and formerly for a small best that I had. Boats classically don't tolerate ethanol because the alcohol eats up the llasyc based lives on s boats fuel system and their filters. Most riding mower manufacturers also recommend the no gas option for similar reasons and this is now the only place for many miles around to get it. This is a legit working gas station complete with air for your tires, water for your radiators andvthat's all free like it was forever. They've got oil and wiper fluid and all that stuff from your Grandpa's SERVICE STATION. That's what we called them because you got service, gas was pumped, windows washed, oil checked, air checked and then, if you go back far enough, got some S&H stamps as a thank you. (that's a really long time ago) They also proudly display the sign on the floor that there is a Notary Public in duty so you can fill up and get your documents notarized while you're here. How cool is that? Cool!!!! They have 2 pumps of standard 10% ethanol unleaded, plus they have one pump of low sulfur diesel, another standard diesel and one kerosene pump. This is one of the last of it's kind, a corner service station from the past, still getting it done on the town square and truckin' into the 20th century. Hope they never go away and that they are the ones to pump the last gallon of gas after everyone's switched to fission. Sigh Hours of operation M-W 7am-5pm Thurs 7am-12noon Fri. 7am-5pm Sat-Sun CLOSED Regular unleaded.. $2.69 Ethanol free .......... $3.00 Low sulfur diesel... $2.99 Kerosene ............... $5.00

I began driving in 1975, and it became my favorite gas station ! It's family owned by the late former Greatest Mayor Herman Cox JR., and his sons ! Also full service with a variety of all types of fuels for your home or automotive vehicles ! Check it out !

Historic and neat little place in Town Square Collierville. The person running the place was not the friendliest person I've ever met.

Stop in McGinnis and fill up. This charming place will remind you of your days growing up in a small town. Have a sit down in their porch swing! Great place!!
