The manager is extremely rude, yells at customers, tosses the customers their items and practically shooing them away. As for the lady that works there that practically lives on her phone whilst ringing people up.. She is also very rude and will give you short $$$. I reported her, management did absolutely nothing and he probably never will. Be sure to check your receipt each and every time, because she WILL give you your change short. Basically pocketing it. There’s only one worker in that gas station that is kind hearted.

The man at the counter was very rude and yelled at me and my friend. The manager is also very rude. Jeri is very sweet and Imus is also very nice. I was a regular customer and now I am going to try not to shop there again.

Nice retro diner feel, nice big breakfast with good grits & pancakes (among other choices!). I don't think they are open late, maybe not even for dinner, but breakfast & lunch for sure. Older sign still up out front. I will be back!

I am compelled to update my review after my last visit. First I want to apologize to fellow Yelpers for not updating my review right away since I saw some people were disappointed after reading shining reviews, sorry. I was really disappointed with everything on my last trip, literally everything. The food has dropped off a cliff, my fruit plate was very small, not fresh and limited. I mean it was a sad and no self respecting restaurant would 1. serve such bad quality 2. be so bold as to charge for such bad quality. The rest of our meal was also far below the quality we had experienced on our previous visits and I had to send my eggs back twice. That brings me to the service, I saw how other folks commented on the aloaf servers talking on the phone, well we got that plus a snooty attitude and not just for asking that they cook the eggs the way that I stressed 3 times before they put the order in. I don't usually give 1 star unless it's a STOP warning but this place really had potential and was building a nice clientele and they blew it. It's a local business that deserved a chance but they have no corporate overlords to blame. Sorry but this is a good one to skip.

Bottomline. You should make progress in the areas of organization, customers service and food speed. After a year and a half, and multiple visits, they still seem to be figuring things out. Today several of the customers, including my wife, started busing tables and setting out forks and napkins for the other guests. Our server explained that the other server no called no showed today. We've been here multiple times since our original post and have been disappointed to see that rather than get better, things have only gotten worse. Wait staff is critically understaffed with a twenty minute wait for coffee, and 30 mins on food. The salt and pepper shakers, hotsauce bottles and menus are sticky, indicating that nobody is wiping them down. Our food arrived and my wife was missing her biscuit and my gravy was cold. I would send it back but that would be another 30 min wait. Management needs to have a team huddle and figure out things.

The reviews on this place are SO mixed. I have been hesitant to give it a try but I did. Went for breakfast. Got there at opening so we wouldn't have the misfortune of having to wait a long time. Greeting time was great and we were immediately seated. Server was attentive and seemed to enjoy her job. We had a strawberry waffle and Uncle Bud's platter. Both were ok. It wasn't slap yo mama good, but we certainly didn't have the awful experience that others seemed to have. To be a "breakfast spot", you would expect the BOMB food. That was not the case, but it wasn't bad. The waffle was crispy on the outside (as it should be). Just needed a bit more flavor. Presentation certainly can be improved. After all, you eat with your eyes first right? The sweet potato pancakes and bacon and eggs were ok. Again, presentation needs work. On a positive note, the server was nice, the place was clean, and I didn't have to send anything back. â€â€

Ok, so I lied. I went back and actually had great service and food. Everything went smoothly and the food was excellent. If you are looking for a good place to have breakfast or lunch, this is it.

Absolutely delicious breakfast, my favorite meal of the day! The portions in comparison to the pricing was very reasonable, and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you're looking for a delicious, Southern breakfast with family or friends.

I have been here several visits and it has always been excellent. Food, service and cleanliness. The price is a little high but understandable since it is a family owned business. It's worth the extra to support a local breakfast place to me.

From the reviews and the overall rating, we expected much more. So, let's start with appearance...the facility is small and the flower holders on the windows have plastic faded flowers in them. The interior is not filthy but it's also not really clean and it's poorly lit. Next, some of the staff was more interested in talking on the phone than attending to customers. The waitress that greeted us upon entry was very personable but we got one that was quite mouse-y and not very energetic. The one star the I gave the place would have to be for the concept. The waffle descriptions sounded fabulous but were not even close to what was served. I ordered the Memphis waffle which was supposed to have shredded chicken, but got chicken that was grilled and cut into strips; they were tough and tasteless. The waffle wasn't a Belgian nor was it even as big as the ones served at a Waffle House. It was also lacking in flavor except for the pineapple added to mate with the sweet sauce meagerly ladled over the chicken and waffle combo. My husband got gravy and biscuits. Biscuits were not made there and the gravy was from a jar with a little sausage crumbled in it. Not appetizing. Lastly, as we left, I noticed a certificate stating that this place was awarded the best breakfast place in Collierville in 2017. There are only two real possibilities for this to be true. 1) No one else served breakfast there. 2) They were good and could not keep up with the standard they once set. I stated the concept was good; the follow through stinks. I can't recommend anyone spend money here!!

I came to Memphis to visit a friend who is living in Collierville. I was told to eat local which makes sense but sometimes hard to do in a newer city to me because I don't want to get a lemon. This place was wonderful! It was one of the best omelettes i have ever had. The two other people that came with me to eat said the French toast and the breakfast platter was awesome as well. The reason I gave it 4 starts is because of the price. It was SPENDY, especially for a local breakfast spot. Not only was it spendy but my omelette was $9.00 and nothing came with it, such as hashbrowns or a side. If they added a side with the price it would be totally worth it. Really good though

Don't go!! Save your money!! Waited over an hour for food and went it arrived it was so cold and hard like it had been sitting somewhere... Was so horrible the food just could not be eaten. The overpriced food coupled with really bad service just isn't worth it.. sounds like the reviews started really good but over time they have just slid a little hill... To bad I was hoping to like this place.
