Trey was so friendly after the exhausting experience we had at the Mendenhall location. We originally reserved a truck for 24 hours but, after an hour of waiting at the other understaffed location, they did not have a truck available. We called the Collierville location and Trey had us taken care of in minutes. We arrived, were immediately serviced, and on our way! 5 stars just for Trey! Friendly, customer facing employees are too few and far between not to appreciate him!

Good morning Mr. Frohmuth,As you are the General Manager I wanted you to know about my experience with U-Haul.My sister and I were moving our mother out of her home of 18 years on 9/1/23 Friday. We knew getting the truck would be the easiest part of the day for us, seeing as I booked and reserved everything almost a month in advance, unfortunately it wasn’t. We arrived at the Olive Branch location as reserved and on my reservation text – see attachment.When we arrived on time the lady said it’s at a Collierville location. Now seeing as we’re told to keep the truck in city limits it’s puzzling why I’m having to drive outside city limits to get it just to double back to Desoto County and back to Collierville to drop it off. When I called the Collierville location, she told me that’s not what she sees and that, “there’s a shortage of trucks so if you want it” and “someone should have told you I guess”. They guess??Basically, if you want it get it or don’t, I don’t care– that’s the impression my sister and I received.When we arrived at the Collierville location, the dollies I had reserved wasn’t there. Yet another hit.She simply said, ‘we don’t have any’. Not one ounce of concern or care came from anyone at U-Haul, not even an acknowledgment that this was an unprofessional and awful experience and COMPLETELY UNAPOLOGETIC FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.Reservations didn’t matter, customers/people don’t matter. Just take it or leave it, we don’t care what you booked.It was an awful experience to say the least, and I certainly hope if you ever must move your own parent or your child must move you sir one day, they won’t have to start that day off the way we had too with U-Haul.And to top it off you charge me $200. A solid $100 over what the contract says. SHAMEFUL.

I reserved a unit 3 weeks in advance with a confirmation number in hand. I came to the store to complete paperwork on my “move in paperwork” just to find out it wasn’t really available. I was told sometimes their system “glitches” and the unit wasn’t really confirmed to be mine. Now I have no unit the day before my big move. The other reviews on this issue are 100%. Save your time and go elsewhere.

There was only one person behind the desk. I only needed a 5 min inspection but had to wait 20 min. There should have been another person or a prioritization of customer needs.

We were finalizing our last move to our new home. We had originally booked a reservation with another Uhaul down the road but when we arrived, we were told by the front desk lady that they did not rent out of state. We were bummed because we needed to get out stuff from the old place. She told us to try the one on Byhalia Road. So we drove there and we were able to get a truck to finish our move. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The employees at this location were very professional and helpful. It didn't take long to rent my truck & the truck was very clean. The gas was not where they said it was but Mr. J adjusted the mileage and gas to make it correct before I left. I brought the truck back with more gas than it had when I first drove off the lot and I didn't go over the miles I had stated that I would drive for the rental. I would use this company if I need to rent a truck again.

Would not recommend this company , me and my fiancée experienced racisim and hate , as well as charges on our card that were unauthorized after getting a uhaul last week , The customer service is rude and it appears there is a lot of funny business going onHere . I just found out this company is under investigation & I do see why ! Do not waste your time and money here ! These people are horrible!

Edited 07 September 2022: the trailer hitch lighting was mis-installed leading to the short out/failure of the vehicle body signal controller. This was an over $800 repair to get the vehicle rear turn signals to work again. The trailer light controller is permanently broken and needs to be replaced, a repair we couldn’t afford with the other cost. Lesson is DON’T GO TO UHAUL TO HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED!!!!! I will once again be pursuing complaint paths to point out Uhaul fraudulent practices.My college aged daughter had an appointment 30 April 2022 at this UHAUL service location to install a trailer hitch. The appointment was at 9am and the booking we made indicated she would wait for installation, UHAUL states it takes 1-1.5 hours for the work to be completed. The people (males) employed at that location would not look her in the eye, would not give her an estimate for when the work would be complete and did not start on the work until the afternoon. Any male customer that walked in was waited on immediately. There is no waiting area in the office or outside, no place to sit. She felt discriminated against and unsafe in that environment. When I called at approximately noon to insist that a time be given for when the work would be completed I was told 45 minutes. The car was finally ready at 2 pm…for a 9 am appointment. When she arrived home she examined the rear of the vehicle and noted the drivers side cover for the signal was hanging off.The employees working at this location have not been educated in basic customer service etiquette and in addition have skipped any harassment training or equity concepts. Now her vehicle is damaged and I’m unable to trust the installation was done correctly. There is a distinct possibility the damage to the rear signal lens was deliberate sabotage. BUYER BEWARE.

Incompetent to sum it up. Reserved three days ago. Called this morning to confirm and then drive three hours to get a car hauler. They didn't have and person behind the counter was snarky and rude. I take some of the blame since I feel for this scheme two times now

They did not have the truck available that I had previously reserved. After waiting for over an hour they stated there was nothing more they could do. They said they would call when you became available.

Great place to rent a uhaul for the moving business. Very big parking lot. We were able to do our shuttle in the parking lot off to the side. Prices are pretty reasonable as well.?
