I've been putting this on hold. But I think it's time to share my horrible experience from this location. I am so beyond disappointed with this USPS location. To think this is Collierville, TN, a great small town that was featured in several magazines as one of the best places to live in TN. Well, not the best USPS location at all. It is the WORST! A few years ago, they've delivered a very important document of mine to a wrong address. I came in person to complain. A rep from the back said she will take care of it, she will call me to give me updates. I never heard back. So, I had to go through a very long and expensive process for me to get a replacement of that document. We moved this year, same town, different address, and so I thought it would be best for me to rent a PO Box, hoping my mails and packages will be delivered to me securely. WRONG! My friend from California sent me a birthday package. You would think there's no way, I wouldn't receive it given that I used my PO Box address. It was already a month after my birthday, still didn't get the package. Even with the tracking number, they couldn't explain why my package got lost. There was a birthday card that was sent separately. It made it to my po box after 6 weeks, but it was ripped open, looking like they were checking for something valuable inside. It was placed in a post office envelope saying, it was damaged in transit, but I don't believe so! Someone from the back (again) said she will look for my package, and will call me. Guess what? NEVER heard back from her as usual. I went again to complain to no avail. The staff in this location just don't care! They will just tell you to file a claim online. I don't need that BS! I need my package! I need an explanation why in the world it got lost when it was supposed to be securely waiting for me in the post office in the box I rented. But no, my package was gone. There was no point renting that box, so I closed it. I filed change of address, requested to forward my mails. It has been almost 3 months, I never received anything forwarded to my permanent address. I was waiting for a credit card replacement, they mistakenly mailed it to the post office box address because for some reason their system still had that address even after I requested to delete it. But you would think that the post office will just forward it to my address, right? Nope! Nothing. I mean what is going on? Even with all the complaints no one is doing something to make it better. Come on Collierville leaders, do something! We need a reliable post office system here.

We have resided in 5 states and never had an experience like the Collierville Post Office. They bend everything. Cram things into the box. A month after we set up forwarding services mail is still arriving.

Fast, Easy, Convenient! Scheduled an appointment for a Passport appointment arrived 10 minutes early and they were ready for me. Gloria was fantastic and very helpful! I was in and out in 20 minutes!

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Went around noon on a Thursday and there was no line and there were 2 workers present to serve. When it comes to the Post Office and wait times it boils down to timing of the visit and locality. Trust was a great experience at the Collierville USPS Office.

Once again, our block did not receive any mail yesterday. I signed up for USPS Informed Delivery. I am still waiting for an MLGW bill from 6 months ago that I never received. A few weeks ago, some residents on my block received their mail yet I did not. I printed the USPS Informed Delivery because there was a very important piece of mail in there and I did not want it to go by the way my MLGW bill did. I put the printed information in the mail box along with a sticky note asking why I did not receive my mail. Our normal carrier is wonderful and mail is delivered at a reasonable hour however on this day mail wasn't delivered until evening and I did not receive my mail. I then took a copy of the USPS Informed Delivery to the post office early, waited in line, showed the clerk and said I received zero mail the day before. I told her I didn't care about anything in the stack except this one item. She went in back and got it and gave it to me. Said there was nothing else there. After I went home, I found that our mail carrier had delivered mail and that my note was not in there. A few hours later she came back to my house and dropped off the rest of the mail that I did not receive the day before. How could she find it but while I was standing in the post office they could not find it? Our normal mail carrier is wonderful however if she is off, we simply don't receive the mail! There is no phone number to call the station directly to find out what is going on. It becomes ridiculous to try and track down your mail and not be able to do anything more than fill out USPS forms online or drive down to the post office!

Lazy staff
It said on their website they accept passport walk-ins from 2:30 to 3:30
I come in at 2:30 and they tell me the don’t do that

This isn’t for the post office itself- every time I have been in there to ship something the staff was kind. This is for the postal system in Collierville. We’ve lived all over the country- and for some reason here the mail is slow AF. It takes over a month to get cards from people. I’ve had to tell the family to not send any gifts, and $$ to the kids via USPS bc it takes a month or more to arrive. Packages I order priority take 2 weeks. What is the hell is going on??

Not only is the Post Office beautiful, but the staff is friendly and efficient. Plus, you can get your passport here, by appointment only.

I’m honestly surprised by the negative reviews this post office location has received because my experience at this post office has been excellent. After moving to Collierville from Maryland, I’ve been here twice recently—once right before the busy holiday season and again more recently—and both visits were great. Despite the hustle and bustle during the holidays, the staff was professional, efficient, and pleasant. My recent visit was just as smooth and stress-free. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this post office based on my experiences. They’re doing a fantastic job—so nice!
