We are new to the area and our 12 year old dog, Huck, needed dental attention. Dr. Corley was very knowledgeable and attentive to my questions when we went for the consultation. A few days later Huck had his teeth cleaned and several extractions were necessary, as well. They also removed a large cyst from his back. Chelsea was so kind and gentle with us and our fur baby, but the entire staff is a pleasure to deal with. Huck had his appetite back immediately and there have been no problems since I brought him home. I highly recommend Animal Care Center at Carters Creek.

Absolutely amazing staff from start to finish regarding my Lexi Lulu. She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. I will definitely make this my dogs primary care physician.

Best vet experience ever for an emergency ear infection my service dog had. She usually hates the vets office and I called here in hopes to get her seen to get her some relief due to her usual vet wasn’t able to get her in. I called 20 mins before they closed and they told me they opened at 8am the next day and they would see us then. I was in the door quick when they opened and they had us back in no time. They took care of her ear infection and she didn’t attempt to eat anyone yay. The staff was amazing and the clinic is very clean and doesn’t smell like a normal vets clinic.

Our fur baby is not the most friendly of dogs. She is testy around strangers and has been known to nip us, as well as others. We chose this facility so she could be sedated while grooming to protect others; as well as keep her calm through the process. On the 2nd visit, Maggie walked on a leash away from her daddy with no issues. (She doesn't walk on a leash for us) On the 3rd visit, she allowed the employee take her from her dad's arms. No nipping, no biting, not even a growl! We are beyond pleased with the groomers, as well as the staff. We are comfortable leaving our baby there knowing that she will be calm among her vet family. We tell her she is going for spa day and she knows she is going to get the royal treatment.Thank you all for loving our baby. It truly shows in how she responds to your staff.PS- Her Mohawk looks fabulous!

I was concerned that my dog may have cancer. The vet with the long brown hair had me show her where the area of concern was. She wanted to go in to do a full invasive biopsy, vs., the fine needle aspiration that she failed to mention. She said if the biopsy came back negative, we’d just put my hound on antibiotics to treat swollen lymph nodes.Once I got home, I found more lumps on my dog, in several spots— she never did a full examination. They wanted to charge another office visit at her scheduled biopsy appointment. I put in a requests 2X for the head vet- Dr. Corley to call me for a second opinion— or just to help me understand the logic. I’m no vet! Within a matter of almost two months with 2 requests to call for concern— nothing. He never called. Even though I mentioned the second time that I’ve already put a request in, I still never got a call back! Obviously my concern meant nothing and same for my dog. They couldn’t care less. While at Carter’s Creek, at the visit I had also asked the same female vet if we could do something for my dog’s allergies because of her feet and ears. Once I explained that Benadryl is not effective for her allergies, the vet told me to give her immunity bites and she gave me allergy pads to rub on my dog’s swollen feet that she keeps gnawing at. This was over a month ago that I was given the allergy pads and started her on the immunity bites. Her allergies are even worse.Earlier this week, I remembered that when we moved to Arizona for a year, my dog’s allergies really went nuts; very similar to how they are now. The immunity bites clearly don’t work for her, so I thought about the cytopoint shot that my hound received in Arizona and how effective it was. Why wasn’t that recommended almost 2 months ago? When I made an appointment for the cytopoint shot, they gave me an estimate of $250. Never has it cost that much!!!! The more invasive biopsy- $500, vs the less expensive fine needle aspiration that could do a small biopsy to begin with. Even the new veterinarian said she would never recommend that procedure first, she always starts with the least expensive and less invasive option— the fine needle aspiration. When I received the estimate for the cytopoint shot- I called and canceled the appointment. I only wanted an estimate because of the $500 biopsy she wanted to give before even trying antibiotics.I called a well known hospital in Franklin, and they quoted me $120 for the entire visit including a full examination and the cytopoint (we went with apoquel which is just a little more expensive.) At Cater’s Creek, they wanted to charge a near $30 to simply administer the shot, another charge to dispose of the needles, along with several more charges. At this visit in Franklin, the net veterinarian recommended a fine needle aspiration before I even said ablnyting about it. Whe. I told her about the $500 estimate to do a full anesthesia, more invasive biopsy, the veterinarian in Franklin said she had never hear of 1) Cytopoint or Apoquel binging prescribed first, nor has she ever heard of doing the more invasive biopsy before the fine needle aspiration. Again, I’m no vet, but these are the exact options I wanted to touch base with Dr, Corley- the head vet… the head vet who never called 2x after leaving 2 messages weeks a part.In a nutshell- they couldn’t care less about my dog, and they rob you blind! In the beginning, I was very happy with Carter’s Creek. After almost two years of going there, the past year has been the worst and I’ve been too patient and too dumb by allowing them to not give a damn about my dog. They just want the money! And if your dog needs a procedure, expect the most expensive recommended first. Last, if your dog has swollen feet from allergies, do what the female vet at Carter’s Creek said, go get your baby some immunity bites at PetSmart!*They refused to send my hound’s records to the new veterinarian. They said they had to ask the doctor— 5 days later and still no records to the new vet. Why? Because of pure neglect and prices, perhaps?

It was time to let our 19yr old dog go, and this clinic helped. She'd been a patient of theirs for the last decade. They were professional, and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. Very nice place. They are still taking care of our 16 yr old beagle.
