I came to Aspen Dental for a consultation and estimate. After getting a previous consultation and estimate at a different dental facility, I can tell you, Aspen Dental blew them away as far as being more thorough. Not only in the preliminary exam, but the communication with me and each other. Overall, I was very happy with the consultation. Dr. Williams was very detailed in her explanations and considerate of my wants and needs. I will be scheduling my first of many visits with the great team at Aspen Dental in Columbia, Tennessee!

This place is the biggest joke I’ve ever seen in my life! Overbooking patients, the staff is condescending, and the office manager has no control of anything. Been here since 10am, dad’s surgery was supposed to be at 11:30am, and it is now 2pm. It is like a dental “Puppy Mill!”

I took my mother in there at her appointment time and we had to wait 1 1/2 hours PAST her appointment time to just get into an exam room on the first visit! Poor first impression. We are trying to get her dentures made. In the first week, we were required to come up to Aspen 4 times. They could have combined some of those appointments and saved us some time, but refused. Each time we had to wait at least an hour past her appointment time! Total wasted time so far 10 hours and we don’t even have the dentures yet!! If I could give a negative score I would!! Time is a resource you can never get back! I complained to Aspen and got nothing but excuses! Aspen took no responsibility nor told me ways in which they are even trying to improve. Aspen doesn’t value my time nor their patients time! I left a review at Aspen and requested a call back from a manager. No one has attempted to call me regarding their poor time management . Numerous patients in the waiting room complaining of same exact issues! Several of them walked out because they had to get back to their jobs. If you value your time, or would like your dentist to value your time, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! ANYWHERE would be better than this waste of time!! Do better Aspen! This is completely unacceptable!!

Thank you to Dr Gorey and Aspen Dental of Columbia staff for helping me with temporary fix of my broken crown and steering me in the right direction to Same Day Smiles in Brentwood TN. I was able to get my old old tooth with the crown removed and had permanent implant with temporary crown placed 2 days after seeing you and I am on my way to recovery. Thank you very much for your help and compassion ❤️

Had an appointment on 28th. Called me an hour before arrival to say they needed to reschedule. Apparently the hygienist or dentist didn’t show up. At next appointment on 5th told me I needed a minor filling. I could come back tomorrow at 3pm would take about 45 minutes. Arrived and was told they could not accommodate me because they needed the hour for someone else. The hygienist had mistakenly put me in for 2:45, I was called a liar, they still would not see me for her mistake. Office manager was not aware of a reschedule the week before. And then told me she couldn’t do anything because the appointment was put in for 2:45 even though it was a 15 minute difference and they were open till 5 pm. There is obviously issues in this office with her employees that she is not doing anything about. You do not tell a patient that they have to be rescheduled twice in a week because of an error by an employee or you do not want to see patients. This is not professional!

The front office staff could use training on proper office etiquette. Their conversations and discussions are not appropriate considering the lobby is so small. Everyone can hear their whole conversations and the use of foul language is not professional.

Very disappointing. I am in need of oral surgery, my regular dentist takes my insurance but is not an oral surgeon, so I contacted my dental insurance company, and specified I needed an oral surgeon who was "in network." The other name I was given turned out to only treat children, so I was left with this one. My own dentist attempted to contact the Aspen Dental office, but was told I personally would have to make the appointment, and that Aspen would have to do their own exam.I took off most of a day's work, & traveled about 45 min to the Columbia office. The check-in tablet I was given was disgustingly greasy, I had to clean it off with hand sanitizer and a tissue; then it kept timing out after 30 sec of not actively moving a finger around (such as stopping to look up my doctor's phone number), so I had to keep running back to the front desk to have it started again. The technicians and the dentist were all very nice, no complaints there; but I was given about 100 x-rays, followed by a complete periodontal exam...all when I had made it clear from the outset that I already have a dentist in my hometown, I ONLY needed an oral surgeon. It seemed pretty clear they wanted to soak that "new patient exam" for all it was worth. We discussed a treatment plan; I personally am not a big fan of "sedation", but they convinced me it would be in everyone's best interest, as the treatment they proposed was more extensive than I had originally been planning on. But, that would be ok, as long as my insurance would cover at least a reasonable amount. Then they sent me to the billing lady / office manager. Who told me everything would cost $11,000. When I asked, "wait, you mean before insurance?", she said no, "the oral surgeon doesn't accept your insurance plan."I was livid. I had made it completely clear from the beginning, when they called me before the appointment and again when I checked in, that I was there for the PURPOSE of oral surgery - that was the whole, entire reason I had driven 45 mins away and put up with all these extra x-rays! (My regular dentist has a complete set, which Aspen refused to accept.)Her excuse? "Well, we don't know what kind of treatment you will need until after the exam is finished; it's possible the other dentists (who do accept my insurance) might have been able to do it."NO - this is complete BS. I told them multiple times, I already HAVE a regular dentist, I ONLY need the oral surgeon part. And, when I worked for an eye doctor years ago, we would ALWAYS check, at least 2-3 days in advance, often more, to VERIFY a patient's insurance, so there would not be any surprises. To make someone take up all their time, and use up all my insurance benefits for "exams" which will now be completely useless, and never even check to see if the main thing they ate coming for is covered, is completely unconscionable. I'm sure they DID know it wouldn't be covered, and thought somehow they would talk me into taking out an $11,000 loan anyway; or just flat out didn't care, as long as they got to pocket the insurance money for the exam & x-rays.The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one, is that as mentioned, the dentist herself and the technicians were very nice. But this type of (as far as I'm concerned) deliberate billing scam, will ensure that I NEVER, ever return to that office. The local out of network oral surgeon my dentist originally referred me to, was willing to accept the dentists x-rays, and was only going to charge me about $1000. I thought that was high - the last time I had a similar treatment by the same oral surgeon, about 3 years ago, it was only about $500 - but that's still a heck of a lot better than $11,000.I told Aspen Dental they were out of their minds, and walked out.
