All was good in dealing with them up until sale was completed on new Rav4. Traveled from Asheville NC to buy it.Had some followup questions in the weeks following the sale. I've emailed our sales rep twice over 10 day period, once each week, texted twice, and called and left messages. Absolutely no response whatsoever. Disappointing. Can't help but feel that once the sale is complete, they are less than interested in hearing from you or helping. And I even told the salesman that we may be in market for another car soon.......Don't think I would deal with them again after this poor communication post-sale. I don't usually write negative feedback, but feel others should know this.

Hands down the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I was anticipating a 5/6 hour process like every other time I’ve bought from a dealership. I left with my new Toyota after maybe 3 hours. And I really appreciated their salesman I dealt with throughout the process. Todd Thompson was my salesman and he was awesome! He was super personable and knowledgeable about the RAV4 I bought. I was nervous about going to the dealership by myself but everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful.

Larry Fee in the service department was phenomenal! My family and I were traveling to Florida on vacation in a Toyota rental vehicle. The check engine light came on and we drove to the nearest dealer. This was on a Saturday and Larry recognized my predicament and got the vehicle looked at immediately. We appreciate the fact that he prioritized us and had us back on the road in about an hour. Larry is top notch! I highly recommend Larry and this dealer!

Adding on to my wife’s post, I lambasted them in the corporate Toyota survey too. Multiple people at the dealership told me they would make it right. Telling me what I want to hear, doesn’t fix the issue. Just makes you look stupid. They don’t have the business acumen to have a tough conversation. After reading the reviews of others, they have a history of poor performance and customer service.Paul, Erin, Karen and the rest of the “team” need customer service training desperately. I get you are at a small-town location, but you are still dealing with people. Call people back when you say you are going to. Stop hiding behind your voicemail and be able to own up when you screwed up...it's $900.Questions for your service team:1. When was the CPO granted for that vehicle?2. When was the last time your “master mechanic” checked the vehicle out?3. Is your “master mechanic” checking all of the vehicles out post test drives?4. How many test drives were there after the CPO was issued?5. Is it possible that someone bottomed out the car and you failed to catch it?A few for your sales team:1. Do you always just give a key and say, “your car is parked over there?”2. Do you always have the buyer remove the sales stickers?3. Do you always deliver a dirty car? Non-detailed car?4. Do you have good records of who test drove the car, or do you just let anyone take cars out?Like my wife said, it's not about the money, it’s about doing the right thing….much like you claim to do in your Robert’s policy of taking care of people and like you say you have for over 60 years.Bottom line for potential customers…go elsewhere if you are looking for a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle or for any sort of customer-based service. This is not the dealership for you. They should be stripped of their ability to sell CPO cars, since they have no idea how to keep them truly CPOd.

I traded and bought 2 vehicles from them everything went fine Blake was sales person. Then my wife went to look for vehicle and they ran my wife's credit after she told them not to.We found out they ran credit because Toyota sent us letter after fact informing us credit was ran through the 3 places. We called to get explanation for running wife's credit they never could talked to us.We read up that that was illegal to run credit without written permission? Then the 2yr/25,000 mile FREE maintenance is a joke.Service told us it basically meant 2 oil changes and tire rotations.

What a complete disappointment. Rather long, but maybe worth a read if you're thinking about purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership.About two weeks ago I went to Robert's to look at a very specific truck, specifically a 2015 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel with a listed mileage of 151,000. As soon as I saw the ad I make an appointment to see the truck as it was the color I wanted. While they had the vehicle for about 2 weeks there weren't any pictures and no real description. I took the afternoon off from work and went to visit.Got there at about 2:00pm and met with a nice younger sales consultant who told me, yes he knows about the truck, and it's on the side of the dealership in the wholesale area (his words). He pointed where the truck was and said he'll go get the keys. I went to see the truck and was disgusted with the condition. Here are the high (low)lights. The vehicle actually has about 11,000 more miles on the odometer than is currently (09/21/2023). Take a look at the current ad picture of the odometer. Misrepresenting mileage on a vehicle is a BIG no no. The truck was absolutely filthy with previous owner garbage in th cab and the bed, including old food. The general condition of the body was fair to poor and it was obvious that the truck really hadn't been cared for for a long time. The sales consultant comes back and gives me the key and I start it and the check engine light is on. For an Eco Diesel, the is deadly and can cost many, many thousands of dollars to fix. By this time, there is no chance that I'd even consider this truck. I asked him if the dealership is going to fix anything and he said no because it needs at least a PCM (powertrain control module, basically the vehicle's main computer). I also asked him about the mileage discrepancy, but he had no answer.I thanked him for his time and left. I got home and decided to call the general sales manager or sales manager to discuss this visit. The nice receptionist transferred me to his extension, which rang and rang. She never came back and there was no answering machine to leave a message. As of this writing, the vehicle is still being advertised with no real description and an incorrect mileage from my observation. Recently I retired from a long career in the car business in senior management in dealerships and wanted this truck to enjoy. I have rarely seen something this bad happen at what appears to be a decent dealership. Be careful and ask questions before to buy.

We bought a certified preowned 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid less than a month ago. I was home(currently stationed in Illinois) visiting family in Columbia and was excited to see they had a hybrid on the lot as we had been looking for a 2023 new or slightly used with low miles for months. The vehicle had less than 10000 miles and we were told it was driven by one of the two owners/managers that are authorized a loaner car so it was well taken care of. The salesman said since they were so short these vehicles they decided to put the loaner up for sale. The price wasn’t great as we paid the new MSRP on a used car but we decided to jump on it since it was certified preowned. My husband and I took it for a quick test drive since we had owned one before and naively thought the car was in good mechanical shape. We did buy the car and loaded ourselves and our two 10 year old labs and headed home to Illinois after purchasing. The route is 345 miles highway and Interstate. The next day after we got home my husband pulled out of the garage and there was a terrible sound coming from the rear of the car. It sounded like metal on metal driving. It only made the sound will backing up or turning left. Hard to hear inside the car with the loud hybrid engine. We waited a few days thinking maybe we picked up a rock or something. My husband reached out to our salesman’s to ask him if the vehicle had been involved in an accident or something because we crawled underneath and there was lots of red clay like it has bottomed out or got stuck somewhere. We called out local Toyota place to get an appointment and with both of us traveling finally were able to take it in 2.5 weeks after purchase. It turned out the rear arm was severely bent and the mechanic said this is due to someone bottoming the car out and ot would not be covered under Toyotas 3/36 warranty and since we have that remaining the fact it is certified preowned means nothing so that warranty cannot be kicked in. We called Robert’s Toyota service department left 6 messages with the receptionist for the service manger to give us a call. It never happened. My husband called the general manager and he stated he would talk to the service manager and give us a call back…that never happened. The service manager finally called back later that afternoon after us missing the window to get the part ordered so it could be fixed the next day. She stated that there was no way we could have driven home with that damage and her lead mechanic said we would have been on the side of the road. The fact it’s we did drive home and have driven it for 2.5 weeks. While it was embarrassing to drive due to the noise it drove just fine. While we do not have proof the car was damaged when we purchased we absolutely know we did not take this car off road. We do not have red clay dirt where we live. Plus who pays 50 plus thousand for a hybrid suv to immediately take it off roading? It seems more likely than not whoever was using this as a loaner vehicle knowing they were going turn around and sale it at full price did not care about this vehicle or what damage was done. The Robert’s service manager called out local Toyota mechanic and told them he should tell us to call our insurance to make a claim. Someone at Robert’s knows what happened to this car. We have lived all over the world and bought way to many car sadly and have never experienced something like this. We read the history of Robert’s Toyota and believed them to be a stand up dealership that could be trusted. We really try hard to trust and believe the best in people but this situation has rocked us hard. The fact they say we are lying really hurts. We take pride in our profession that is centered around honesty and integrity and have done so a combined total of 54 years of service to our country. We will pay to get the car fixed as it was never about the money…it was about Robert’s Toyota doing the right thing.

Dean was an amazing car salesman, I never felt pushed or pressured during my looking and test driving the car. He spoke to me over the phone through phone call and text and was very straightforward and honest. He was very knowledgeable in the car and it's features. Best car buying experience I have ever had. Thank you to Dean and the Robert's Toyota dealership!

We were looking for a new rav4 for us and wanted to try a local dealership to keep business local. I had been texting with a sales person all week and finally had the opportunity to go look at what they had to offer. We were immediately greeted by the receptionist who was great to deal with. She called the sales person I had been chatting with and he hadn’t arrived yet but she was willing to help us. We took a used rav4 for a ride just to see if that was exactly what we wanted. We then sat down and made a wants vs not wanted sheet. Another salesman came out (Dean) and told us to drive the hybrid that they had in stock. I told him I didn’t want it due to it having a CVT transmission. He said it was because Hyundai and nissan had cheap transmissions and we needed to try the Toyota. I told him no I didn’t want the CVT and I didn’t want a hybrid. He talked to me like I was completely ignorant on the subject and informed me that everything had a CVT. Shows 8 speed automatic on the sticker, not CVT. He was very condescending and just not easy to deal with. We quickly left and went and ordered a Toyota at another dealership. They won’t get any business from me now or in the future. The reason they received any stars was due to the receptionist.

Mike Bullock was an outstanding salesman! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but also steadfast in getting the exact truck I wanted, the right color, and with all the options installed before I picked it up. I had been looking for a Toyota Tacoma for two years before going to Roberts' and they would sell before I had the chance to buy it, or it had been be re-routed when I arrived. Mike took the time to research and secured the truck that I wanted, with the specifications that I wanted in a very short time period. He worked around my schedule and took the time to explain every button and every upgrade to my comfort level (I had a LOT of questions). He made the process easy for me and worked to get me the best deal possible. The staff treated me like family and I highly recommend buying from them.

I purchased a Toyota Certified used Avalon from Michael Bullock on 5/30/2023. This was a very pleasant experience. Michael was extremely courteous and polite. He was very knowledgeable on the benefits and warranties for purchasing a Toyota Certified used car. He explained this very concisely and clearly. This was the most hassle free and best car purchase that I have ever made. The price of the car was fair and I am very happy with the purchase. I would highly recommend Roberts Toyota and this sales professional, Michael Bullock, for anyone interested in purchasing a Toyota. Also, the finance manager, Mike, that I worked with to purchase an extended warranty was excellent at his job and easy to work with.

My experience was absolutely Amazing!Tyler was my salesman. I am a Retired Veteran who has purchased a lot of vehicles over the years. By far this was The Best Buying Experience. Tyler was very courteous and professional from the beginning to even a couple days after I purchased my truck from Robert’s Toyota. Tyler and the entire staff made me feel at home at their Dealership. If I could rate them 10 Stars. I would!! I highly recommend Roberts Toyota, Columbia, Tennessee. Thanks Tyler and the staff. Amazing Experience!!!!!

I had a terrible experience with the service department at this dealership. I steer all my friends and family away from doing business here. In fact, recently bought a new Toyota myself and went out of town to do so, as I refused to go here. I called prior to taking my Toyota Highlander in for a brake job. After I dropped my car off they called to tell me the price I was quoted was only for the front brakes to be replaced on my vehicle, so it would actually cost double to do the brakes in the rear too. Frustrated, as I told them exactly what I wanted when I called prior, I told them I would take it elsewhere and not to do the brake job. When I picked up my car later that day the check engine light was on - which was a first for this car. I immediately took it to have the code read and it showed an issue with the mass air flow sensor. When I took it back and questioned the manager at the service department they immediately blamed it on the repairman who looked at my car and said he cracked the sensor. They said they would order the part and call me when it came in for replacement. I had to follow up multiple times, and a month later I finally took my vehicle in for repair only to be told that they could not be held liable for the damage and would not be replacing my part. Not only was the staff was very rude and condescending, but they completely went back on their word. I'm my book, they cannot be trusted.
