Tried to ask about refilling a 20lb grill tank. The woman on the phone has no access to that kind of information, it apparently wasn't on the script she was reading from. She ket asking if I wanted to schedule a delivery. I just want to find a place to refill my tanks. I have 8 that needs refilling

This was a terrible experience. We had to reset our account each time we went to pay, communication was terrible, if we had a question there was no way to talk to our local branch, and when we finally terminated our service with the company, they charged us almost $200 for breaking the contract early, WHICH WE DID NOT! We dealt with costumer service for over an hour for them to admit their mistake. When our tank was removed (without them setting up a time), our yard was torn up and our gate was left open. Do not use if you can help it!!!

My onkine account still doesn't allow for scheduling delivery. My delivery was over a week after the "scheduled window" and I had to keep calling and messaging to get a delivery driver out here.

☆☆ NEVER USE AMERIGAS!!!!I would have given ZERO stars if it were an option. I have a 250 gal tank and ordered a refill at the 30% level on the 11th of January. My account was debited the following day. My order was on a priority fill and was assured the gas would be delivered in 7-10 days.A week later, after no delivery and now down to 20% due to cold weather, I called again and the lady could ALMOST speak english stated she seen nowhere in my file that I was put on an EMERGENCY fill the following day.The following day I received no delivery. I made another call to another non-english speaking ,waste of an employee and again received a promise the fuel would be delivered the very next day. ANOTHER LIE!!So this went on for 13 or 14 calls and a waste of another week with a tank now less than 5%.At this point I called a final time on January 28th and cancelled my order and requested a refund. She said my refund would be mailed in 10-14 days. Keep in mind it took one day for them to take my money yet it MAY get here in 2-3 weeks by check..I was also informed that there is a $190.00 tank pick-up fee. We'll there goes any refund I was expecting.I informed them they had 30 days to pick up their tank or I would consider it abandoned and I will have it moved to the scrap yard. She informed me that if the tank was damaged in any way I would be charged for the tank. I said I would pay for it now and have it filled by a reputable company. She said they would not sell me the tank because I am no longer a customer...Think about that for a second.Long story short. AmeriGas should be renamed IndiaGas. They have ZERO walk in offices and ZERO American employees who could help and actually care when you call them. If you call you will be on the line with someone from india or the Philippines who also have a minimal grasp on the English language. The last lady I spoke with THOUGHT there may be an office somewhere in Florida but didnt know for sure. . That really helps doesn't it.This is the worst company I have EVER been a customer of. Such a disgrace to a once popular American company.Amerigas/ IndiaGas... you are garbage!!

I'm a pre-paid customer of several years. I set my contract approximately in the August time frame and forget about my Propane responsibilities until the next time Amerigas notifies me that it's time to renew. They are always timely with my refill without me calling. Confidence in my supplier, thank you.

I only wish an option to rate a zero. Amerigas will no longer deliver propane to a tank they placed on property. We are without heat since early December. Other propane companies need the tank removed so they can setup their tank and provide customer service Amerigas is unwilling to. Amerigas customer service is beyond pathetic. Based on other reviews this seems normal. All I want is Amerigas to remove their tank so I can have heat restored by another provider who answers phones and follows through on their promises.

My customer service experience was awful. I tried to swing by your location in Lebanon TN to tell someone how awful it was. But there was no one there, and you no longer accept walk ins. So I tried to call again, and was denied when I asked to speak to a customer service rep in America. You have lost me as a customer. I will be telling everyone I know how greedy you are and how wretched your customer service is. I hope you go financially bankrupt to match your moral bankruptcy.

It took filing a complaint to BBB to get Amerigas to provide proper customer service.

Waited days past scheduled delivery. Called several times and got the run around. Terrible customer service and terrible choice if you are in need of propane soon. Definitely do not recommend!

Customer service was terrible, Transfer service to 3rd world country. Poor communication skills cannot supply service for tank I pay for, terrible eye sore. Unable to answer questions just they cannot service tank meaning cleaning and painting tank. I will not pay for tank rental till they paint my tank. Next step discontinue service and get new company.

We now have our refund check and statement showing no further charges from Amerigas. Yard looks great without that unsightly tank.*Update, May 2023 a year later they have taken their tank. I expect further issues from them and or collection agencies but we have emails proving they agreed to pickup tank and they owe us for propane in tank. If your area only has Amerigas save yourself some money and switch to electric. This company charges people for deliveries that never make it, and often people are left in subzero conditions without heat or utilities like heated water if it's propane. Check out Amerigas Consumer Complaints on Facebook for full details of the wrongs committed against consumers. Please, please please do not use this company. They either are in process of closing, going out of business, or simply are the worst Propane company in America.I'm fairly certain they will never pick up tank. They no show and do not apologize or have a valid reason why. "No tech available?!" On dates we are scheduled for them to take their tank OFF my property.1/2/23 tank still here. No contact from Amerigas.12/2/22- Amerigas again no show to get tank on 12/1.11/28- Amerigas again no show. New pickup date Dec 1. (Do we really think that'll happen? No)11/6- Amerigas no showed on 11-1. New pickup date 11-28.*10/19/22 Still waiting on Amerigas to pick up their tank. They've abandoned their tank on my property.*update:July called and told them to pick up tank again.Might take up to 4 weeks? Supposed to get refund based on what's in tank (65%)***MAY 2022***Called to schedule tank pickup. We don't use alot of propane, tank is about 65% a year and a half after fill. (Only have a stove hooked up after delivery guy said we had a leak in fireplace and heaters, don't expect repairs from this company) Issue is we are being charged a hostage fee that went from $115 to $223.30 for PROPANE WE'VE ALREADY PAID FOR.

When called the local office number was routed to a call center which is not a pleasant experience. The call center does not know what is happening locally as to why deliveries are delayed. The only thing they do is put a priority on your delivery but that didn't solve the problem as to why the delivery was late (2 weeks late) to start with. They evidently are so bad that they cannot hire or keep delivery drivers. Using a central call center is inefficient and not customer friendly. They need local customer support personnel.
