The Best Western Thunderbird Motel is considered a hidden gem and the best-kept secret in Cookeville. The location is perfect, phenomenal, and very convenient for a stay in the area, close to an imaging center, diverse eateries, shopping, and a delightful Mexican restaurant on the property. Guests find the rooms very spacious, extremely clean, and well-loved, with thoughtful layouts and amenities. Options include Jacuzzi rooms and double queen rooms, all featuring firm and super comfortable beds, nice-sized showers with great water pressure, and fridges that work well. The pool area is pristine and very inviting. The complimentary breakfast includes items like buttery eggs. The entire experience is pleasant and better than expected. The staff is consistently fantastic, with front desk clerks described as super sweet, pleasant, helpful, and friendly, providing fantastic service with great attitudes and smiles. Many guests have stayed multiple times and definitely recommend it, stating they got it right by choosing this motel.
Rooms are modern and the area is very quiet with a variety of great restaurants. There is an outback, longhorn, Logan’s, and Texas Roadhouse literally all next to each other. I got off track but this hotel is very clean and comfortable.
