We have been using Algood Walmart pharmacy for years, until today! After much back and forth with the insurance company about our prescription coverage, come to find out it wasn't the insurance holding us up. It was the pharmacist REFUSING to send the required paperwork in to the insurance so we could get our prescriptions. Our insurance called the pharmacy where they were greeted with a very rude tech and then passed on to an even ruder lead pharmacist who eventually in this event purposefully hangs up on the insurance company twice. She made comments like "it was not in our policy to file this paperwork" when they are actually the only one who can; and when our insurance asked if we needed to take our prescriptions to another pharmacy, the lead pharmacist said "yes, you should" and then she hung up the phone. Needless to say, until some much-needed changes are made, our money will be better spent elsewhere. (REFUSING is capitalized because that is the word she used, she REFUSED to do the paperwork required)! I'm sure that's not in the code of ethics for a pharmacist.

over the years I've noticed more self checkouts and less customer service. I'm just going to list a couple that have happened recently. Tonight I'm checking out at self checkout with my 5 year old he had wanted to get this wooden cross. So an employee just happened to be standing there and the wooden cross was missing a price tag. So I told the employee and asked if we could have her call and find out the price for it so we can purchase it. She tells me no that she can't do that. I'm like ok so you can't call the customer service or anyone to get a price check on it for me??? She says no I can't. Wow ok so I'm suppose to leave all my stuff that I've already scanned and go to the far end of the store to get another one that has a barcode? She says yeah that's what you'll have to do. Needless to say I wasn't going to do that and Walmart lost that sale. Another night a couple weeks ago I'm doing all my grocery shopping later at night since that's the easiest time for me to go when I don't have to bring my kids with me. I have a heaping cart of groceries and of course they don't have but 1 lane open with an actual person and that was backed up already. So I decide to just do self checkout since I don't really have a choice anyhow. I fill up the area were the bags are with the groceries that I've scanned but still literally have no room in the cart to put the bagged groceries yet. So here I am bagging all my stuff while the lady is just standing there watching me like I'm some kind of thief and I have no where to put my bag groceries. You would think that the employee standing there doing absolutely nothing could at least grab another cart so I could put all my bagged groceries somewhere. Nope apparently that's not in their job description. Bottom line Walmart use to have people that were happy to help you and plenty of lanes that would be open. Now NOOOOOO customer service and you scan and have to bag everything yourself. So I will be spending a little extra money to shop at the smaller local stores. At least I will have great customer and won't have to do everything myself while employees just stand there watching.

If you're brown expect to get stared at! I'm vacationing with friends here and we're all POC. We came in twice to get groceries and every minute spent there was filled with stares from white people! They'd all take double glances at us as if they had never seen any brown people. The Walmart employees were terrible as well. If you're going to "check up on us" while we check out 1.) At least be discreet and 2.) Check the other people checking out while you're at it! The blatant staring was disgusting and I wouldn't recommend any POCs to come here for your comfort.

This location recently went through renovations so it looks nice and clean. Other than that, it's a normal Walmart...don't have anything too good or bad to say about it. It is convenient that they have a Subway attached so you can pick up lunch on the way out.

I went at 8:45 on a Friday night and they were closed. It was frustrating and sometimes you just need someone to do what they say they are going to do which, in this case, would be open till 9:00 PM.
